Chapter 96 – GOY 96
#96
Bang, bang!
The impacts continued after that, and the boat spun around and around. Strangely, however, the water only poured over Joo Seung-hyuk.
The short yet long journey ended, and we stepped off the boat.
Eight people had been on board, but Joo Seung-hyuk was the only one soaked.
Only then did I understand the system of this ’Super Extreme Boat.’
It wasn’t a ride where all eight people got wet; it was a ride where only one unlucky person out of the eight had their hair, clothes, and shoes drenched. That was why I hadn’t gotten wet when I rode it in the past.
“I’m glad I didn’t sit over there.”
“Right?”
“Oh my god. Joo Seung-hyuk is completely soaked.”
“Wow. Crazy.”
The other passengers who rode with us whispered among themselves while looking at Joo Seung-hyuk.
They had recognized him. I hadn’t realized because they weren’t making it obvious. Regardless, Joo Seung-hyuk’s condition was severe enough to surprise everyone.
“S-Seung-hyuk-ah, are you okay?”
“I’m okay.”
Despite his words, he didn’t look okay at all.
After walking a bit away from the boat, we found heaters set up for people who had gotten wet.
Damn it. If I had seen this first, I wouldn’t have ridden it!
But it was too late for regrets.
“Seung-hyuk-ah, shall we dry off over there?”
“I’m fine.”
True, it was summer, so standing in front of a heater felt a bit odd.
We headed toward the exit for now. However, since he was soaked from head to toe, water dripped with every single step he took. It seemed impossible to go on like this.
“Seung-hyuk-ah, should we buy some clothes? I saw a clothing store next to the toy shop earlier.”
“I think we should.”
We retraced our steps. Near the entrance of the amusement park, there were several famous clothing brand stores.
When we first entered, I had wondered, ‘Who on earth comes to an amusement park to buy clothes?’ I never imagined that person would be me.
Right, a large corporation like this wouldn’t have placed stores here without a reason.
Joo Seung-hyuk chose a simple black short-sleeved T-shirt and jeans.
“How is it?”
“You look great.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. You look great in anything.”
A small face, tall stature, long legs, and on top of that, a perfectly sculpted muscular build and a handsome face.
Joo Seung-hyuk looked great no matter what he wore. He’d probably look like he was wearing luxury brands even if he were draped in rags.
When I praised him, Joo Seung-hyuk gave a small smirk. Did he think I was joking?
He brushed through my damp hair.
“Do you want to change your clothes too, Hyung?”
“No. Only the tips of my hair got a bit wet. Ah, I’m hungry. Shall we have dinner?”
“Yes. Let’s do that.”
“What should we eat? Is there anything you want?”
“What about you, Hyung? Is there anywhere you want to go?”
Usually, Joo Seung-hyuk took the [unauthorized copy]lead when we were together, [stolen content]but it seemed unauthorized copyhe intended to leave it to me today.
“Do you want spaghetti? There’s a place here called Fantasia Garden.”
‘Fantasia Garden’ was the largest and most lavish restaurant in the amusement park. Consequently, the prices were expensive.
Even when I was a child, I had wanted to eat there, but I had turned away in shock after seeing the prices written at the entrance.
“Yes. I’d like that.”
Joo Seung-hyuk readily agreed.
We headed to Fantasia Garden together. I remembered it feeling huge and grand when I was little, but seeing it again, it wasn’t quite that impressive. Still, as the best restaurant in the park, you could tell a lot of effort had gone into it.
Since it was evening, there were quite a few people. We sat at the innermost table.
“Shall we get the Fantasia Set?”
“Yes. Let’s do that.”
“I’ll pay this time. Your clothes got soaked because of me.”
“It’s okay. I didn’t get wet because of you, Hyung.”
“Still. I’m the one who suggested coming here.”
This would probably be the last meal I’d have with Joo Seung-hyuk. Since I had only been treated to meals until now, I wanted to pay for the last one.
“Alright. If that’s what you want, Hyung.”
Joo Seung-hyuk looked at me silently for a moment before nodding.
The Fantasia Set lived up to its reputation with a lavish presentation.
“Wow. Looks delicious. I really wanted to try this when I was a kid.”
“We should have come sooner. Tell me if you want to eat this again. We can come whenever you want.”
“…Haha. Let’s eat!”
I quickly grabbed my fork and knife. Often, when a dish focuses too much on visuals, the taste suffers. I was worried this might be the case, but fortunately, it tasted quite good.
By the time we left the restaurant, it was almost 9 o’clock.
It felt like we hadn’t done much, yet time had flown by.
Once today is over, it will be goodbye to Joo Seung-hyuk…. This is the outcome I wanted so badly, yet I don’t know why the time passing so quickly today feels so cruel.
As closing time approached, many shops closed their doors and the rides stopped operating.
I checked the remaining rides on my phone app. The roller coaster and the Viking ship were still running, but I didn’t want to ride them.
As for the Haunted House, I couldn’t bring myself to try it because I felt sorry for the ghost employees who had to scare Joo Seung-hyuk. I didn’t want to risk some disaster by accidentally provoking him….
I could ride the spinning teacups, but I didn’t really want to. I hadn’t liked getting dizzy even as a child.
Still, I wanted to ride one more thing for the finale….
I looked at the Ferris wheel right in front of us. With the lights on at night, it looked incredibly romantic.
I used to enjoy it in the past…. But if I rode it now, I might faint…. I didn’t want to end my final moments with Joo Seung-hyuk with a fainting ending.
The carousel…. I liked it, but a carousel didn’t suit an obsessive yandere.
“Seung-hyuk-ah, do you want to ride ‘Fly Airplane’?”
After some deliberation, I pointed to the ride on the left.
‘Fly Airplane’ was a ride where airplane-shaped vehicles moved up and down while traveling in a large circle.
“That one is high, too.”
“I-It’s okay….”
Honestly, just looking at the airplane models made me feel like throwing up, but I figured I could endure that much if I tried hard.
“Let’s ride this.”
Joo Seung-hyuk pointed to the carousel.
“Will you be okay with that?”
“Of course I’ll be okay. I’ve never ridden a carousel before.”
Joo Seung-hyuk had said this was his first time at an amusement park. He probably had never ridden a carousel.
Of course, a typical obsessive yandere wouldn’t ride a carousel, but Joo Seung-hyuk was different.
“Then let’s go ride the carousel.”
Despite the late hour, the line for the carousel was long. We had to stand in a long queue once again.
But it wasn’t boring. Even though we weren’t having any special conversation and were simply standing there holding hands, it felt peaceful. In fact, as the line slowly shortened, I felt a sense of regret.
Finally, it was our turn. Joo Seung-hyuk and I boarded a snow-white carriage.
The carousel began to move along with the music. I looked at Joo Seung-hyuk, who was sitting opposite me.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Because you’re handsome.”
I carved his eyes, nose, and lips deeply into my heart.
I don’t know what my future holds.
If Joo Seung-hyuk enters an arranged marriage with the only daughter of Lexington Pharmaceuticals, the original plot will change drastically once more. It might change so completely that the original story will no longer be worth considering.
If that happens, I will also break away from Joo Seung-hyuk and the original plot to start a new life.
But amidst all the uncertainty, there was one certain fact.
No matter who I meet in the future, I will never meet anyone more handsome than Joo Seung-hyuk.
“I think Hyung only likes my face.”
“Huh?”
“Why are you so surprised? Is that true?”
“N-No!”
As I shook my head in surprise, Joo Seung-hyuk’s lips overlapped with mine.
It was a sweet kiss, unfitting for a final moment.
After riding the carousel as our last attraction, we returned to the dormitory.
“Let’s go a bit earlier next time.”
Joo Seung-hyuk wore a bright smile, as if the excitement of the amusement park still lingered.
If he hadn’t had such an unhappy family history, [unauthorized copy]he probably would have grown up receiving all sorts of love. He would have smiled like this every day.
“Do you want to go again?”
“Yes.”
Joo Seung-hyuk smiled innocently. I didn’t know he could make an expression like that. Seeing him enjoy it like a child left me speechless.
“I’m not good with rides…. Wouldn’t it be better to go with someone else next time?”
“I don’t care about that. I liked it because I was with Hyung.”
Joo Seung-hyuk gripped my hand tightly. His dark pupils stared straight into me.
“Don’t try to send me away to some other bastard.”
“…….”
“For me, there is only Lee Yeon-soo. Please stay by my side.”
Desperation seeped through his gaze, his voice, and his touch—everything.
It was as if he had read my mind.
It was just something that came up in the flow of conversation, so was I just being sensitive?
“Seung-hyuk-ah….”
“I wish tomorrow would come quickly. There are so many things I want to do once vacation starts.”
Joo Seung-hyuk kissed the back of my hand.
“So many things.”
“…….”
I could have just said I wanted to do many things too. I could have just said what Joo Seung-hyuk wanted to hear, as I usually did. But I couldn’t say a word. I felt like I shouldn’t tell such a lie.
Joo Seung-hyuk’s lips overlapped with mine. His hand secretly probed inward.
This is a relationship that will end tomorrow anyway. I should refuse. If I used studying for exams as an excuse, he wouldn’t force it.
Countless thoughts flashed through my mind. But in the end, I couldn’t refuse Joo Seung-hyuk as he kissed me as if clinging desperately.
“Ugh….”
A faint moan escaped before I even opened my eyes. I quickly covered my mouth in surprise.
Turning my head, I saw Joo Seung-hyuk’s face. Since it was a single bed, our bodies were pressed completely against each other.
He was still asleep.
I had vowed to wake up earlier than Joo Seung-hyuk today, and fortunately, my internal clock worked accurately.
There are many things I need to do without Joo Seung-hyuk knowing. I had originally planned to prepare secretly at night, but because we had slept together, I had fallen asleep as if collapsing.
Even just twisting my body slightly made my entire frame scream.
‘Seriously, this guy doesn’t know moderation. What an Insatiable Madman.’
Grumbling inwardly, I carefully pushed myself up. I didn’t even breathe, fearing that Joo Seung-hyuk might wake up.
I suppose today is the last time I’ll be sleeping squeezed into a single bed….
