Chapter 90 – GOY 90
#90
Joo Seung-hyuk allowed me to continue staying at the dormitory. That didn’t mean he had let me off the hook, though.
Instead of living in the dorms, he told me to spend this weekend at his house.
For an obsessive yandere, this was a significant concession. I jumped at the condition.
Since yesterday’s clothes were no longer in a wearable state, I wore the clothes Joo Seung-hyuk gave me.
Even though they were new, they fit my body perfectly. He probably bought them specifically for me.
Joo Seung-hyuk often gave me clothes as gifts. But it seemed there were other clothes besides those.
He couldn’t have already made a dressing room for me, could he…?
When I said I wanted to study for final exams, he gave me use of his study.
Actually, there weren’t many subjects this semester with a high weight on written exams, so there wasn’t anything special to study. However, I used the exams as an excuse to escape the obsessive madman’s embrace, even if only for a moment.
I stared at the book and let out a deep sigh.
If I were the original Kim Joon, I probably would have argued back at Joo Seung-hyuk, asking why he was angry when I had simply helped Park Geon-woo Seonbae, and then I would have suffered through those kinds of hard acts. I’d probably be experiencing that “cozy trash can” right now.
Thinking about it now, Kim Joon wasn’t just “clueless.” That goes beyond cluelessness; he was “completely devoid of fear.” How could he argue back so clearly when Joo Seung-hyuk was that angry? Regardless of who was right or wrong, isn’t it terrifying?
It’s not that I’m timid or fearful; any normal human would have no choice but to shrink in the presence of an enraged Joo Seung-hyuk.
By the way, how did Joo Seung-hyuk find out the contents of the letter I sent to Park Geon-woo? Did Park Geon-woo tell him?
No way… It would be surprising enough if those two exchanged private conversations, but they talked about me? Moreover, even if Park Geon-woo didn’t send a reply, he wasn’t the type of person to go around blabbing the contents of a letter to others.
Of course, one can’t be certain about another person’s personality. After all, I never imagined he would smear his pheromones on me without my permission…
But even so, I don’t think Park Geon-woo would have leaked my letter. If he had, rumors would have spread long ago. The media, which was desperate to link me and Park Geon-woo, wouldn’t have missed such a source. Therefore, it really hasn’t been leaked externally.
Then how did Joo Seung-hyuk know the contents of the letter I sent?
No matter how much I pondered, no answer came to mind.
Let’s just study. I wonder if there’s a copy of ‘Introduction to Gate Studies’ at Joo Seung-hyuk’s house?
As I stood up from the chair, my legs gave out. Reflexively, I grabbed onto something next to me, but it wasn’t a sturdy support—it was a book. I collapsed while holding the book, and the books came crashing down to the floor.
‘Ack! How could I make such a mistake!’
What if Joo Seung-hyuk gets angry again…? As I hurriedly tried to organize the books, a snow-white envelope caught my eye from among the pile.
Sender – Yeonsu Lee
Recipient – Geonwoo Park
This was the letter I had sent to Park Geon-woo two years ago. Why does Joo Seung-hyuk have this letter?
Furthermore, my home address was written on this envelope. The same address as my current home.
Joo Seung-hyuk explicitly said he asked my younger siblings for my home address. But in reality, he had known it since then?
When I picked up the envelope, I saw another letter beneath it.
Sender – Geonwoo Park
Recipient – Yeonsu Lee
This was a letter Park Geon-woo had sent to me. Judging by the address listed for the recipient, it seemed to be a letter sent along with the group replies.
Then Geon-woo hyung actually wrote a reply to me…?
Park Geon-woo received the letter I sent in [unauthorized copy]Africa and wrote [Read on Read BL Novels]a reply. But Joo Seung-hyuk intercepted it. And he even took the second letter I wrote.
A chill ran down my spine.
I thought Joo Seung-hyuk started obsessing over me after our first sexual encounter. But that wasn’t it. He had been targeting me long before.
Just then, I heard the sound of the door opening. I hurriedly shoved the letters under the pile of books.
“What happened?”
“S-sorry! I made a mistake while trying to get up and dropped the books.”
“Did your legs give out?”
“Yeah. I’ll clean them up quickly!”
“It’s okay. Are you hurt?”
“No.”
Instead of scolding me, Joo Seung-hyuk hugged me. He carried me in a perfect princess carry, which made me feel a bit embarrassed.
He took me outside and set me down on the living room sofa.
“Wait here. I’ll bring some snacks.”
“Okay.”
Joo Seung-hyuk went to the kitchen and returned with cookies and tea.
“Thanks.”
“Wait a moment.”
“Okay.”
Joo Seung-hyuk went straight back into the study. Is he going to organize the books himself? If so, did he notice that I found the letters…?
This was something Joo Seung-hyuk did wrong, but I didn’t feel like confronting him.
Rather, I was afraid. He was the type who, when his faults were discovered, would try to silence the other person rather than apologize.
As I waited anxiously, he came out of the study shortly after.
“Why haven’t you eaten?”
He asked, looking at the refreshments on the table.
“I wanted to eat with you.”
I answered with the most docile expression I could manage. Joo Seung-hyuk gazed down at me for a moment and then sat beside me. Then, he grabbed my ankle.
“Seung-hyuk-ah!”
I shouted, startled.
‘As I thought, he found the letters. So now he’s going to put shackles on my legs in a fit of projection?’
Ignoring my cry, Joo Seung-hyuk placed my foot on his thigh. Then, he began to massage my leg.
“S-Seung-hyuk-ah, I’m fine.”
“What do you mean you’re fine? What if you had fallen and gotten hurt?”
He massaged my leg with a face full of worry. Fortunately, it seemed he hadn’t noticed that I had found the letters.
As promised, when Monday arrived, Joo Seung-hyuk let me leave his house.
But this is the last time. If I get dragged to his house again, it will be difficult to escape.
Even after returning to school, those letters kept coming to mind.
Rather than the fact that Joo Seung-hyuk intercepted stolen contentthe [stolen content]letters between me and Park Geon-woo, I was curious and terrified of the reason why.
Just how long has Joo Seung-hyuk been targeting me?
Joo Seung-hyuk said that I hated him. His voice was filled with intense resentment.
He had hated me for a long time. Perhaps he had hated me ever since that day seven years ago.
Maybe even our first encounter was part of Joo Seung-hyuk’s scheme? Everything after we had sex might have been an act.
All to take revenge on me for rejecting his exclusive contract in the past.
Come to think of it, has Joo Seung-hyuk ever told me he loved me?
He always demanded that I say it, but I don’t think he ever said it himself.
Far from love, I’ve never even heard him say he likes me. Aside from joking that he likes the Guiding, he has never once told me he likes me with sincerity.
‘Was everything really a lie…?’
For a moment, a surge of sorrow washed over me. We were both insincere, so I don’t know why I feel so sad.
I’m afraid that everything about Joo Seung-hyuk that I’ve experienced over the past few months was a lie.
What on earth am I so afraid of…
Even though it’s my own heart, I couldn’t understand it.
As I was trudging along to my lecture, a man blocked my path.
“Geon-woo hyung…”
“Yeon-soo. Are you okay?”
Park Geon-woo looked at me with eyes full of worry.
“Yes.”
“Really? I kept regretting it after letting you go. You didn’t come back all weekend.”
When I left his room, I told him I’d see him ‘tomorrow.’ But even though I didn’t return that day, nor the next, Park Geon-woo simply waited and took no action.
Park Geon-woo was like this in the original story too. He was an extremely sensible person.
Even if Kim Joon disappeared while with Joo Seung-hyuk, he would only think it was strange; he wouldn’t take any further action.
No matter how cold Joo Seung-hyuk’s personality was, he couldn’t imagine him imprisoning a Hubae from the same school.
Because of that, Park Geon-woo failed to protect Kim Joon until the very end.
In other words, he is not someone I can rely on.
If it had been Joo Seung-hyuk, he would have searched for me frantically the moment I disappeared. No, in the first place, he wouldn’t have let me go to someone else…
“Yes. I’m really okay.”
“You’re hurt.”
He touched the wound on my lip. I startled and stepped back.
“Sorry. I was just worried.”
“It’s okay. I’m sorry for causing you concern.”
“Yeon-soo, can we talk for a moment?”
“I’m on my way to a lecture right now…”
“Then I’ll wait until class is over,” Park Geon-woo said firmly.
This lecture was a group presentation class.
The last group of the semester was presenting, but none of the content reached my ears.
Park Geon-woo said he would wait outside the classroom until the lecture ended.
Should I report this to Joo Seung-hyuk? But I was afraid that telling him might actually cause a disaster.
While I was debating whether to contact him or not, the sound of applause rang out.
The last group’s presentation had ended.
I had no more time to think.
