Chapter 26 – GOY 26
#26
“Are you hurting anywhere?”
Seeing him change the subject without answering made me worried.
“No. I can show you right now just how healthy I am.”
He suddenly climbed onto the bed, his face drawing close as if he were about to kiss me.
Meeting eyes that flickered with passion, a wave of shyness washed over me. Embarrassed, I lowered my head. Then, Joo Seung-hyuk grabbed my chin and lifted it, rubbing his lips against mine. The touch was so erotic that I ended up lowering my head again.
“I-I see. It’s a relief you’re healthy. I think I need to rest. I’m… a bit dizzy.”
I couldn’t do that immediately after waking up for the first [stolen content]time in fifteen days. I was more afraid of the Indomitable Top than I was of Mana Depletion.
As I avoided his gaze and looked at the white bedsheets, Joo Seung-hyuk let out a low chuckle and kissed my cheek.
“Rest. I’ll call the doctor.”
“Okay.”
He climbed down from the bed and pressed the button on the wall to notify them that I had awakened.
I looked at my hand. When I had performed Guiding, Joo Seung-hyuk’s mana had attacked me. I had been hit by the attack of an S-Class Esper pushed to the brink of a Rampage.
I thought the injury to my hand would be severe, but fortunately, it was fine. Though a small scar remained.
After curling and unfolding my fingers, I asked Joo Seung-hyuk.
“Seung-hyuk-ah, what happened to Kim Joon?”
“Why do you care about that bastard?”
Joo Seung-hyuk’s voice instantly turned cold.
To be honest, I was scared, but the image of the collapsed Kim Joon was so vivid in my mind that I couldn’t just ignore it.
“Kim Joon was hurt back then too, so I was worried.”
“He’s attending school just fine now, so don’t worry about him.”
“Then was he so hurt that he couldn’t attend for a few days?”
“No one was hurt enough for Hyung to worry about. So stop paying attention to him.”
“But…”
Joo Seung-hyuk gripped my hand tightly.
“For fifteen days, I thought of nothing but [stolen content]Lee Yeon-soo. It feels [Read on Read BL Novels]like shit that the first thing Hyung does upon waking up is mention another bastard.”
“Sorry…”
“Look only at me. Think only of me.”
“…Okay. I will.”
I nodded.
Joo Seung-hyuk looked so desperate that it felt more pitiful than scary. Because of that, I couldn’t bring myself to say no.
Since it had been a shock caused by Mana Depletion, there would be no problem as long as my mana recovered.
However, because Joo Seung-hyuk caused such a scene, I had to undergo a detailed examination.
As expected, the test results showed no abnormalities.
“There are no abnormalities in the test results. However, you must absolutely not overexert yourself. If you experience another shock, it could be truly dangerous. Do you understand?”
“Yes.”
“Even for an S-Class, it will take at least a year for the disrupted mana to recover completely. Be careful during that time. Also, regulate the frequency of your Guiding.”
The doctor gave repeated warnings. He said that for the next year, Guiding more than ten times a day was forbidden.
Since there were almost no cases where I would perform Guiding to that extent anyway, it just meant I could live normally.
After a long hospital stay, I was able to return to the dormitory.
Looking at the dormitory building, I was filled with emotion. In the span of fifteen days, the freezing weather had turned into full-blown spring, and flowers were in full bloom around the dormitory.
Just as I was about to enter the building, Joo Seung-hyuk stopped me.
“Hyung, I don’t think this will work. Let’s go to my house.”
“Seung-hyuk-ah…”
He had been insisting we stay at his place since the hospital; he still hadn’t given up.
“Just stay at my house until you’ve fully recovered.”
Liar.
The house of an obsessive yandere is like a ‘swamp’; once you enter, you can never escape.
Moreover, they said it would take a year for my mana to stabilize completely. If I went in now, even if it wasn’t full confinement, I would have to live there for at least a year.
I had absolutely no intention of staying at the obsessive yandere’s house. However, knowing that speaking too strongly would likely have the opposite effect, I wore a thin smile.
“I’m more comfortable here. It’s not that your house is uncomfortable, but I think I can rest better in a place I’m familiar with.”
“…I understand.”
Perhaps because I had been hurt [stolen content]while trying to save him, Joo Seung-hyuk surprisingly listened to me obediently.
As we entered the dormitory, the caretaker greeted me warmly.
“Student Yeon-soo!”
“Hello.”
“You’ve been discharged? How is your body?”
“Yes. I’m okay.”
“Oh, what a relief. Truly a relief.”
“Thank you for worrying about me.”
I bowed my head in greeting.
“Wait a moment. There’s a package for you.”
“Yes.”
The caretaker went into the office and came out with a small delivery box.
Ah, it’s that… It must have been sitting in the management office for nearly fifteen days.
“Thank you. I’m sorry for leaving it here so long.”
“Don’t be sorry. Go inside and rest quickly.”
“Yes. Thank you.”
I thanked him once more. Then, Joo Seung-hyuk slid closer and whispered in my ear.
“Why are you smiling so prettily at that bastard?”
This crazy bastard.
I thought he had calmed down a bit while at the hospital, but the moment I’m discharged, it starts again.
“I have to be polite to adults.”
“You don’t need to smile that prettily.”
I attempted a rational conversation, but as expected, it didn’t work on an Obsessive Madman.
“…I’ll be careful from now on. Ah, the elevator is here!”
I quickly changed the subject and stepped into the elevator. Joo Seung-hyuk followed.
“Give it to me.”
“Huh?”
“The package is heavy.”
“It’s okay…”
“Give it.”
After taking the package, Joo Seung-hyuk pressed the button for the 6th floor, the exclusive floor for S-Class.
Since I was currently the only S-Class living in the dormitory, the 6th floor was practically my own private domain.
As I entered the room, I felt a slight chill.
It was probably because it had been empty for so long.
Although it was the room I returned to after 17 days, I didn’t feel any particular emotion other than that.
Even though it had been 17 days, I had been unconscious for fifteen of them, so it practically felt like I had just been away for two or three days.
“Do you want something to drink? I only have bottled water and mix coffee, but… Ah, no.”
I almost made the mistake of offering mix coffee to the Madman.
Realizing my mistake, I hurriedly shook my head.
“I’ll go to the cafe and buy something, so just wait a mo—”
There was a cafe next to the dormitory. Just as I was about to head back out, Joo Seung-hyuk grabbed my hand.
“Where is a patient going?”
“But I have nothing to serve you…”
“If we go, I’ll go. Don’t worry about useless things and just rest.”
“Okay…”
Joo Seung-hyuk sat me down and handed me a bottle of water from the refrigerator.
“Thanks.”
“Aren’t you going to check your package?”
He held up the delivery box I had received from the security guard.
“Ah, that’s not mine.”
“It says Lee Yeon-soo.”
Joo Seung-hyuk looked at the shipping address on the package.
“…Well, about that. …It’s yours.”
After debating how to answer, I ended up telling the truth.
“Mine?”
“Yes.”
Joo Seung-hyuk opened the box without hesitation. Then, after checking the contents, he paused for a moment.
“This is mine?”
It was understandable that he was surprised. The box contained pastel-toned handmade candies. The colorful handmade candies in a pretty glass jar didn’t suit Joo Seung-hyuk at all.
“W-well, it was White Day. So…”
The day after the mock battle training was White Day.
I thought Joo Seung-hyuk would fall for Kim Joon during the mock training. However, since there was a slight chance of failure, I had ordered White Day candies in advance.
I didn’t think Joo Seung-hyuk was the type to care about anniversaries, but I figured just in case.
I had put a lot of thought [stolen content]into choosing them, but seeing Joo Seung-hyuk’s stiff expression, Read on Read BL Novelsit seemed like a total miss.
“They’re stored at room temperature, but they’ve been left for too long, right? I should throw them away.”
I tried to quickly clear the candies away. However, Joo Seung-hyuk firmly refused.
“Why throw them away? I’ll keep them for the rest of my life.”
“D-do you like them?”
“Fuck.”
Just as I was relieved that he didn’t hate them because he said he’d keep them, a sudden torrent of harsh swearing poured out.
“Lee Yeon-soo, why did you give me this?”
Following the curse, he suddenly dropped the honorifics.
‘Mr. Madman, why are you suddenly angry?’
It was overwhelming to keep up with Joo Seung-hyuk’s psychological shifts, but sensing the atmosphere was unusual, I answered cautiously.
“W-well, because we’re dating…”
“You made a mistake.”
Joo Seung-hyuk spat the words out as if chewing them. It seemed I had offended the obsessive yandere.
What on earth did I do wrong? Was 99% dark chocolate the right answer for an obsessive yandere instead of colorful handmade candies?
“Do you not like candies? I-I should have gone with chocolate. But since it was White Day, I thought candies would be bett— Ack!”
The moment I started rambling excuses in a panic, my body suddenly tilted.
Joo Seung-hyuk pinned me down, gripping both of my hands strongly.
“I-I’m still a pati—”
“You should never have given me this. If you do this, I’ll…!”
What was he going to do to me?
Terrified, I waited for his next words, but suddenly our lips overlapped.
Joo Seung-hyuk’s body weighed me down heavily, and my hands were immobilized as if bound.
Yet, contrary to his rough actions, the kiss was tender.
He kissed me over and over, tasting my lips as if seeking permission.
As my tension melted and my lips parted, his tongue slid in softly. It was a persistent kiss, as if he didn’t want to miss a single thing about me.
It wasn’t my first kiss, but I felt as if everything about me was being seen through by this human named Joo Seung-hyuk, making me feel shy and causing my toes to curl.
Joo Seung-hyuk savored me again and again before slowly pulling his lips away.
“I’ll stop here. Since Hyung is a patient.”
Perhaps his anger had subsided, as his speech returned to its usual length.
“Thanks.”
He cupped my face and kissed me again. It was a light bird kiss.
Even after the kiss, Joo Seung-hyuk held me tightly for a long time. Once I felt certain that he really wouldn’t touch me today, my mind felt a bit more at ease.
Joo Seung-hyuk seemed relaxed too. Why did he suddenly get angry earlier?
“What are you looking at?”
Joo Seung-hyuk gazed at me intently.
“You’ve lost a lot of weight.”
His already sharp jawline had become even more defined.
“Look who’s talking.”
He chuckled and hugged me. Then, he reached out and picked up the glass jar of candies.
“Shall I try one? They might have gone bad. I’ll taste them.”
“No. They’re mine. I’m not giving these to anyone. Not even Lee Yeon-soo.”
Joo Seung-hyuk spoke firmly and kissed my cheek once more.
