Chapter 1 – GOY 1
Someone licked my earlobe and then gave it a light bite. There was only one person who would do such a thing.
“Woong-ah….”
My pet dog, ‘Min-woong,’ used to wake me up like this every morning.
“Mmm, Min-woong-ah, Hyung is going to sleep a little more.”
Without even opening my eyes, I hugged Min-woong tightly.
Huh? But something was strange.
The skin was smooth. Min-woong is a mixed breed, and while his fur is short, it’s not this smooth. Moreover, there were firm muscles….
Our Min-woong might be a pig, but he’s not a muscular pig….
Wait, that’s not the problem! Regardless of fur or body fat, this wasn’t a dog.
I snapped my eyes open.
“Uh! Whoa! Ah! Aaaah!”
And in one second, I was shocked four times.
First, because the creature in front of me was a human, not a dog.
Second, because the man was too handsome.
Third, because the handsome man was naked.
And finally, because the naked man was Joo Seung-hyuk.
Every fact was shocking, but the last one was particularly appalling.
“Why…?”
Why on earth is the obsessive yandere from the original novel in my bed!
I awakened as an S-Class Guide at the age of 14. Just as I was swelling with hope that my future life would be a path strewn with flowers, I suddenly realized that this place was the world of a BL novel.
And not just any novel, but a hard angst BL called <The Swamp of the Guide>, which was devoid of dreams and hope.
Ah, for the record, that is absolutely not my taste.
In my previous life, I was an ordinary young man who loved healing stories full of dreams and hope.
The reason someone like me ended up reading a hard angst BL was because of my damn livelihood.
After joining a publishing company, I was suddenly put in charge of the BL genre.
Since I didn’t even know what BL was before joining, I frantically read through the best-ranking novels for study purposes, and <The Swamp of the Guide> was among them.
The fact that this was a world inside a novel wasn’t particularly shocking. However, the moment I realized that the novel was <The Swamp of the Guide>, I fell into despair.
Out of all the books I’ve read! Of all the many novels out there, why had it to be <The Swamp of the Guide>!
To summarize the plot of <The Swamp of the Guide> in one line: ‘The story of a uke whose life is ruined after being targeted by an obsessive yandere.’
Kim Joon, an F-Rank Guide, barely manages to enter the state-run ‘Republic of Korea Esper Academy’ through the recommendation of his high school teacher.
The excitement of entering the nation’s top Ability User educational facility is short-lived, as Kim Joon is subjected to all sorts of contempt and bullying for being F-Rank.
However, he perseveres and holds on regardless of the harassment, and Joo Seung-hyuk—a third-generation chaebol and S-Class Esper—feels a strange curiosity toward Kim Joon. At some point, that emotion turns into obsession.
Kim Joon tries to escape the destructive and violent obsession, but the more he tries, the worse Joo Seung-hyuk’s possessiveness becomes.
Eventually, Kim Joon is imprisoned in Joo Seung-hyuk’s house like a bird in a cage, living a life forever severed from the world.
It was a hardcore novel where four out of five volumes were filled with scenes; after [unauthorized copy][visit our site]reading it, I couldn’t remember anything erotic, only that the uke was incredibly pitiful….
Although I was born into a novel with no hope until the very last scene, there was still one ray of hope.
The fact that I am not the protagonist!
I wasn’t ‘Kim Joon,’ who is despised as an F-Rank Guide and then captured by the obsessive yandere. Nor was I the obsessive yandere ‘Joo Seung-hyuk,’ who went mad due to a miserable childhood.
However, just because I wasn’t the worst didn’t mean my current situation was optimistic.
I had been reincarnated as the villainous sub-uke of this novel, ‘Lee Yeon-soo.’
Lee Yeon-soo was Joo Seung-hyuk’s exclusive guide.
Because he was an S-Class Guide—of which there are fewer than ten in the Republic of Korea—he was able to sign an Exclusive Guide Contract with Joo Seung-hyuk despite his young age.
The life of Lee Yeon-soo, who had been an ordinary citizen, changed 180 degrees after becoming Joo Seung-hyuk’s exclusive guide. However, Lee Yeon-soo was not satisfied with this and wanted to form a deeper relationship with Joo Seung-hyuk.
If they were to undergo bonding and marry, the S-Class Esper’s abilities and immense wealth would become entirely his own.
But Joo Seung-hyuk only held Lee Yeon-soo in contempt.
Not only did Joo Seung-hyuk ignore him, but when he chose the F-Rank Guide Kim Joon, Lee Yeon-soo’s jealousy reached its peak.
Lee Yeon-soo committed all sorts of atrocities, such as [Read on Read BL Novels]bullying Kim Joon and unauthorized copycommissioning his kidnapping, and was eventually killed by Joo Seung-hyuk.
It was a miserable end befitting a villain.
‘Thinking about it again, Lee Yeon-soo’s side seems even more devoid of dreams and hope….’
Still, I was glad I remembered the original plot quickly.
If I had been just a little slower, I would have excitedly accepted the Exclusive Guide Contract with Joo Seung-hyuk, unaware that the guy was a budding obsessive yandere.
“I will decline the exclusive contract with Esper Joo Seung-hyuk.”
The day I found out this was a world inside a novel, I rejected Joo Seung-hyuk’s exclusive guide contract.
At the same time, I had to give up a massive signing bonus and the glamorous life of living in a chaebol household, but I didn’t regret it.
Even if I became the obsessive yandere’s exclusive guide, only a disastrous future awaited me.
Thus, I completely stepped off the original plot and lived my own life, unrelated to Joo Seung-hyuk or Kim Joon.
Since we were among the few S-Class Guides and Espers in the Republic of Korea, we occasionally crossed paths at national events or gate subjugation sites, but we almost never had private conversations.
I avoided him, and Joo Seung-hyuk had no interest in me.
With overwhelming skill, Joo Seung-hyuk was called the ‘S-Class among S-Classes’ and [unauthorized copy]graduated high school one year early.
And he entered the Republic of Korea Esper Academy in the same year as I did.
This followed the flow of the original story.
Since I was the top Guide and Joo Seung-hyuk was the top Esper, the opportunities to encounter each other increased dozens of times, but I avoided him desperately.
Of course, Joo Seung-hyuk perceived me as nothing more than a pebble rolling on the ground, but since this was the setting of the original story, I couldn’t let my guard down.
The Original Plot Constraint might activate, and Joo Seung-hyuk might try to kill me.
Some might think I’m being too hypersensitive.
They might feel that since I didn’t throw myself at Joo Seung-hyuk like in the original, nor did I bully the main uke, there’s no reason for Joo Seung-hyuk to suddenly harm someone completely unrelated.
But having read the original, I can say with 100 percent certainty.
If it’s Joo Seung-hyuk, it’s possible. He was a lunatic who could kill a person simply for being annoying.
For the past year, I lived with extreme caution, worrying if I would annoy Joo Seung-hyuk or if our eyes might even meet.
I erased any thoughts of a romantic campus life from my heart and lived with the sole goal of avoiding Joo Seung-hyuk.
I planned to keep holding my breath like this until the point where the original story ends.
But why on earth is the original obsessive yandere in my bed? And naked, at that?
I backed away, scrambling out of the bed.
“Why, why…?”
Words that sounded like screams poured out without even forming proper sentences.
At that, Joo Seung-hyuk’s eyes flashed coldly.
“What do you mean why? Are you disappointed that it’s not Min-woong?”
Joo Seung-hyuk and I were in the same year, but since we had no friendship at all, we used formal language with each other.
Yet, he suddenly spoke informally. However, this was not the situation to argue about rude behavior.
“What? Ack!”
Before I could grasp the meaning of the question, Joo Seung-hyuk roughly pulled my arm. Due to the momentum, I ended up tucked right into his embrace.
As our bodies touched, I felt Joo Seung-hyuk’s body heat vividly.
While wondering why I was being held, I simultaneously realized that I was also naked.
Why am I stripped too? But fear came before the question.
I hurriedly lowered my head.
“Ah! I-I’m sorry….”
He mustn’t think that I hugged him on purpose….
He already looks like he’s in a bad mood; if he thinks I like him, it’s the end.
I tried to break free from Joo Seung-hyuk’s embrace, but he gripped my shoulder tightly.
As the grip strength of an S-Class Esper was transmitted directly to my shoulder, a moan escaped me involuntarily.
“Ugh….”
“Who is Min-woong?”
“What?”
“Which bastard is it that you’re looking for before you even open your eyes?”
“T-that is….”
“After spending the night with me, how do you think I’d feel if you looked for another bastard?”
Spending the night?
I have no idea what happened, but one thing was certain. If I said the wrong thing here, Joo Seung-hyuk might kill me.
I underestimated the original plot too much. To think a death flag would be planted like this, without any context or probability.
I felt like an extra in a horror movie who gets murdered suddenly right at the start.
Tears dropped out of the fear that I might die. But despite the fact that I was crying, Joo Seung-hyuk’s gaze grew even colder.
“Lee Yeon-soo, I hate repeating myself. I’ll ask one last time. Who is Min-woong? Which bastard is he?”
The aura surrounding him fluctuated coldly, as if he would kill me at any moment.
I desperately moved my tongue, which had frozen stiff with terror.
“…A-a dog.”
