Do Ye-jun didn’t budge, as if he had fallen into a deep, bottomless dream. Cheon Sa-hyun slowly brushed back the hair that had become disheveled, pressed against the pillow.
“The appointment time has passed.”
“……Mmm.”
Do Ye-jun grumbled in resistance, pulling the duvet higher. Cheon Sa-hyun placed his hand over the fabric and stopped him.
“You’re not actually a baby, yet you sleep half the day away.”
Since he had just put Do Ye-jun to sleep shortly after 11 o’clock, he had essentially slept for nearly 12 full hours.
Cheon Sa-hyun clicked his tongue softly in admiration. He thought that even if someone gave him a lethal dose of sleeping pills, he wouldn’t be able to sleep like this.
“……What?”
Do Ye-jun woke up groggily. A cracked voice leaked out faintly.
“It’s Cheon Sa-hyun.”
Answering Do Ye-jun’s question faithfully, Cheon visit [unauthorized copy]our siteSa-hyun tilted his head to the side. Do Ye-jun, who had captured that face by slowly closing and opening his eyelids, started up in surprise.
In the process, he ended up bumping foreheads with Cheon Sa-hyun with a thud.
“Ack!”
Do Ye-jun let out a sudden scream, and Cheon Sa-hyun rubbed his forehead, which had been unexpectedly attacked.
“You scared me…! When did you get here?”
“A little while ago.”
“Ha, what a shock…. Is it already past 10?”
“Yes. Why do you sleep so much?”
“I didn’t even realize I slept that much.”
Do Ye-jun looked up at the clock and gasped. He seemed unable to believe the fact that he had slept like the dead without waking once, only to get up at 10 in the morning.
“Wow, my face must be so swollen.”
Having slept for 12 hours straight, it was certain that he would be puffy. As Do Ye-jun fumbled visit [Read on Read BL Novels]our siteto touch his cheeks, Cheon Sa-hyun brought his face right up to him.
“Is it? I can’t really tell….”
Do Ye-jun flinched and pulled his head back. Then, he waved his hand in front of Cheon Sa-hyun as if telling him to move.
“I’ll wash up and be out in a second, so just wait a bit.”
“Okay.”
Behind the staggering Do Ye-jun as he entered the bathroom, Cheon Sa-hyun nodded obediently.
A moment later, as the sound of water began to be heard, Cheon Sa-hyun hummed lightly and opened the curtains. As the blackout curtains were drawn back, bright morning sunlight poured in instantly.
While Cheon Sa-hyun opened the window for ventilation, Do Ye-jun finished his shower in a rush. He had acted so hurriedly that he burst out of the bathroom looking like a mess, with clothes soaked here and there. A toothbrush full of foam was clamped in his mouth.
“Ugh, uh-uh-uh-uh?”
“Yes?”
Cheon Sa-hyun asked back with a hint of a smile toward Do Ye-jun, who was babbling with the toothbrush in his mouth. Do Ye-jun signaled for him to wait a moment by showing his palm, then went back into the bathroom to spit out the foam before coming back out.
“Did you book the movie?”
“Yes.”
“Ah damn, then I have to hurry.”
Muttering to himself, Do Ye-jun increased the speed of his brushing. Cheon Sa-hyun simply tidied up the messy bed without any further comment.
After finishing washing his face and roughly applying some lotion, Do Ye-jun pulled on a T-shirt and pants. At the same time, he gestured with his chin toward the dresser.
“Grab any pair of socks for me from that drawer.”
“Okay.”
Even without Do Ye-jun specifically telling him, Cheon Sa-hyun took a pair of socks from the third drawer.
“Throw them.”
The socks traced a parabola and landed precisely in Do Ye-jun’s palm. After hurriedly putting on the socks, Do Ye-jun staggered to find his balance.
“Shall we go?”
“Uh, yeah. Wait a sec, let me grab my wallet and phone.”
As soon as Do Ye-jun looked around, Cheon Sa-hyun, as if he had been waiting, pulled Do Ye-jun’s wallet and phone from his pocket and handed them over.
“Here they are.”
“Ah, right. Let’s get going.”
Do Ye-jun took the items he handed over without thinking and headed for the entrance. He was completely unaware that Cheon Sa-hyun was casting an intrigued gaze at his back.
Less than three minutes after leaving in Cheon Sa-hyun’s car from the parking lot, Do Ye-jun asked with a bewildered expression.
“What? What time did you say?”
Cheon Sa-hyun answered with a relaxed and nonchalant face.
“2:30 PM.”
Wow. Do Ye-jun let out a breath of disbelief.
“……Are you kidding me? You should have told me that first! I was rushing around and making a fuss for nothing.”
“You didn’t ask, Hyung.”
At Cheon Sa-hyun’s composed words, Do Ye-jun’s frustration boiled over.
In other words, the reason Do Ye-jun was so heated right now was none other than the movie’s showtime.
Because Cheon Sa-hyun said he had booked the movie, he had prepared in a frantic rush for fear of being late, only to find out it was a 2:30 movie. Even after scrubbing his eyes and checking, the current time was around 10:40.
“It’ll be nice to eat lunch before we go. Seolleongtang is okay, right?”
Cheon Sa-hyun naturally shifted the subject.
“Seolleongtang? Seolleongtang is great. No, that’s not the problem right now….”
Do Ye-jun was swept along.
“Do you want to listen to the radio?”
“No, not the radio, I want to listen to music.”
Again, Do Ye-jun was swept along.
“The phone is connected. Play whatever you want to hear from there.”
Cheon Sa-hyun took the phone out of his pocket and handed it to Do Ye-jun. Receiving it naturally, Do Ye-jun fiddled with the unlocked phone and launched the music app.
“Oh, I like this one lately.”
As he picked a song from the top of the playlist and played it, a calm melody began to resonate. Do Ye-jun, who had been humming along to the song without much thought, suddenly snapped back to his senses.
“Ah, seriously, I got swept along again. No, I asked why you didn’t tell me the movie time was 2:30.”
As he complained with a pout as if it were unfair, Cheon Sa-hyun couldn’t hold it back and burst into chuckles. Eventually, he held the steering wheel and lowered his head, his shoulders shaking. It was a stroke of luck that the car was stopped at a red light.
“Ah…, I told you. I didn’t tell you because you didn’t ask. If you want, I’ll tell you first from next time.”
“……Fine.”
Since he said he would do it next time, Do Ye-jun couldn’t keep being angry and quickly calmed down.
Cheon Sa-hyun turned up the volume of the song Do Ye-jun said he liked.
A short while later, after filling their stomachs with warm food at the Seolleongtang restaurant and taking out an iced americano each from a cafe, the two arrived at the cinema around 1:30.
“Which floor is the theater on?”
Do Ye-jun asked, standing in front of the elevator buttons.
“One moment.”
Standing behind him and reading the text posted next to the elevator, Cheon Sa-hyun pressed the button for the 7th floor.
Do Ye-jun followed him without much thought, but… somehow the atmosphere was quite different from the cinemas he knew.
“……Is this the right place? I think we entered the wrong way.”
“It’s correct.”
Cheon Sa-hyun grabbed the hesitating Do Ye-jun’s shoulder and led him inside. An employee who spotted him from the inside approached quickly.
“Welcome. We have been waiting for you.”
After welcoming the two with a polite attitude, the employee began to guide them further in. Following the employee’s guidance in a daze, he entered the theater.
“This is a cinema…?”
He saw a space where things that could be either beds or chairs were placed sparsely.
“I wanted to watch it quietly and comfortably.”
After requesting two glasses of house red wine from the employee, Cheon Sa-hyun turned his head to look at Do Ye-jun.
“Where do you want to sit?”
“In the place you booked, obviously…?”
“Yes. Exactly.”
“…Where did you book?”
“All of them.”
“…Right, I see.”
Do Ye-jun was lost for words at the suddenly expanded range of options. Looking at the empty cinema, he pointed toward a corner in the back that caught his eye.
“Let’s sit over there.”
“Sure.”
Cheon Sa-hyun didn’t seem to mind where they sat and headed straight for the spot Do Ye-jun pointed to.
Two glasses of wine were placed on the table, and Do Ye-jun repeatedly licked his dry lips. The dark and gloomy atmosphere created an inexplicable sense of foreboding.
Moreover, the fact that no one else was here made him even more anxious.
“The movie looks like it’ll be fun. Right?”
Therefore, Do Ye-jun intentionally babbled on, saying things like how he was looking forward to the movie and how the lead actor was a great choice. Cheon Sa-hyun also smiled and agreed with his words.
A few minutes later, darkness fell over the cinema, and the movie intended only for the two of them officially began.
And then, the chair Do Ye-jun was sitting in, which had already been half-reclined, suddenly flipped far back. Do Ye-jun, who found himself looking at the ceiling instead of the screen in an instant, turned his head in confusion.
And he locked eyes with Cheon Sa-hyun, who was looking down at him.
“Uh, the movie started… though.”
“I know.”
“I… really wanted to see this movie….”
“Yes, I know that too.”
In other words, he was telling him to move, but whether Cheon Sa-hyun didn’t understand or was pretending not to, he didn’t budge an inch.
Do Ye-jun strongly suspected it was the latter.
It’s scary. Terribly scary. Not knowing what Cheon Sa-hyun might do, his mouth went bone-dry.
Ah, why did I say I wanted to see the movie? I should have just watched it at home when it came out on VOD. I should have held out until it was released on an OTT platform.
Even if he regretted it belatedly, the fact that he was alone with Cheon Sa-hyun in the dark space did not change.
