The side dishes his mother made were incredibly delicious. It was a taste that Do Ye-jun could never recreate even if he died and came back to life. Though frustrated, Do Ye-jun had no choice but to admit that culinary skill is not hereditary. And above all, he wasn’t even her biological child to begin with… though he did have memories of clumsily learning to cook while following his parents around as a child.

Watching Do Ye-jun eat in silence, Cheon Sa-hyun smiled and pushed some side dishes toward him. He also pulled a few others toward himself. The ones in front of him were the dishes Do Ye-jun didn’t care for, while everything in front of Do Ye-jun was something he loved. Do Ye-jun, preoccupied with picking up kimchi to eat with the pan-fried tofu, didn’t even notice.

“Thank you for the meal. It was delicious.”

After finishing his meal, Cheon Sa-hyun went up to the second floor to express his gratitude to Do Ye-jun’s parents.

“Alright, if you’re done eating, go on in and get some rest.”

The parents firmly rejected Cheon Sa-hyun’s offer to help with the work and chased him and Do Ye-jun out of the soup restaurant. Do Ye-jun, who ended up leaving work together with him by accident, grumbled as he looked back at the restaurant.

“You wouldn’t let me go when I said I’d go…”

“They probably did it because they were worried. Since Hyung’s memory isn’t intact.”

At Cheon Sa-hyun’s words, Do Ye-jun whipped his head around.

‘No, why is he still harping on about memories? Wasn’t he just doing that on purpose because he was angry that I ran away?’

“Hmm? Why are you looking at me like that?”

But what was truly confusing was… that on the surface, it seemed Cheon Sa-hyun sincerely believed he had lost his memory. To Do Ye-jun, who was staring intently at him, Cheon Sa-hyun asked slyly:

“Why do you keep looking at me so prettily? Hmm… do you want a kiss?”

“…Wha-what are you talking about!”

Do Ye-jun turned his head to check the surroundings, worried that someone might have overheard. Even if it was night, saying such things so boldly on a busy main road made him seem like a complete lunatic.

“If you don’t want to, then fine. I understand. Hyung doesn’t remember yet that we were in a desperate and poignant love…”

“What? We were what?”

“Ah, I misspoke. We had a naughty and sensual love, right?”

Do Ye-jun squeezed his eyes shut. Then, he spoke through gritted teeth.

“Let’s just go with the first one…”

Whether it was poignant or whatever… the voice he spoke with was drained and utterly exhausted.

“Yes.”

Cheon Sa-hyun gave a bright smile.

“All done. Be careful from now on.”

Having meticulously applied medicine to the scratch on the back of Do Ye-jun’s hand, Cheon Sa-hyun applied a cute character bandage from who-knows-where.

“…But do you really have to use this one?”

Looking at the bandage with a cat drawn on a yellow background, Do Ye-jun subtly showed his dislike.

“Do you hate it?”

“No… it’s not that I hate it.”

Do Ye-jun looked at Bori, who was sitting on the windowsill, “loafing” like a piece of toast. Bori looked calm and languid, as if they had never acted fierce.

“When did you get close with Bori?”

“Bori? During the last holiday.”

What on earth had happened during visit our sitethe last holiday Cheon Sa-hyun was Read on Read BL Novelstalking about? What had he done for his parents and Bori to accept him so naturally?

To Do Ye-jun, the last holiday felt like a Pandora’s box. It felt as if something was hidden that he shouldn’t know. He had a chilling intuition that once he found out, there would be no turning back.

“By any chance, did any packages arrive?”

Cheon Sa-hyun asked, looking around. Now that he mentioned it, one package had arrived this afternoon.

“Was that yours?”

“Yes. Did you get it?”

“It was in front of the house, so I thought it was Mom’s and left it in front of the master bedroom…”

As soon as he finished speaking, Cheon Sa-hyun stood up and returned with the box that had been placed in front of the master bedroom door.

“Bori.”

When Cheon Sa-hyun called, Bori opened their eyes.

“Why are you calling Bori all of a sudden?”

“This is for Bori.”

“Really? Is it something like treats?”

Unable to contain his curiosity, Do Ye-jun slid closer to Cheon Sa-hyun. When the tape was ripped and the box opened, what appeared was…

“A toy?”

“No. A pet cam.”

“A pet cam?”

“Yes. Your mother and father spend most of their day at the restaurant. I ordered it because I was worried about Bori being home alone.”

“Wow, really?”

Do Ye-jun had only heard of pet cams and was fascinated to see one in person. With sparkling eyes, he reached for the manual inside the box.

“Wow, this uses AI for motion recognition. Gasp, it says you can even talk through the speaker? Wow, amazing.”

While looking through this and that, Do Ye-jun even installed the app on his phone on his own.

“Hurry up and connect it. Hurry.”

And Cheon Sa-hyun urged him to launch the camera. Cheon Sa-hyun smiled awkwardly and stood up.

“Where should I install it?”

Right, where should it be installed? Do Ye-jun began to survey the house, following Cheon Sa-hyun.

“Since you bought it to see Bori, shouldn’t it be installed where Bori is most often?”

At that, Cheon Sa-hyun’s face lit up as if he had been waiting for that exact sentence.

“I thought so, too.”

“Why, why… what is it? Why are you making that face…?”

Feeling a surge of anxiety from that expression, Do Ye-jun began to follow closely behind Cheon Sa-hyun. Using his long legs, Cheon Sa-hyun strode up to the second floor.

And he flung open Do Ye-jun’s bedroom door.

“What, gasp, why my room? cough, what is it!”

Do Ye-jun barely managed to climb the stairs, panting. Upon entering the room, Cheon Sa-hyun had already stolen contentfound unauthorized copyan outlet and [stolen content]was connecting the camera. The camera was attached to the wall above Do Ye-jun’s desk.

“Just as Hyung said, it’s where Bori is most often.”

He had nothing to say. Because it was an indisputable fact.

For some unknown reason, Bori lived in Do Ye-jun’s room as if it were their own. Although they occasionally used the cat tower in the first-floor living room, they spent most of their time on the second floor, and their favorite spot was on Do Ye-jun’s bed. Because of a thoughtlessly spoken word, Do Ye-jun suddenly found himself living in a room with a camera.

“It feels a bit creepy, like a surveillance camera…?”

“I didn’t install it to surveil Hyung, I installed it to see Bori. There’s no reason for Hyung to feel bad.”

“……I guess that’s true.”

Cheon Sa-hyun’s words were persuasive. Since the purpose wasn’t to monitor him in the first place…

Do Ye-jun reluctantly agreed, though he still felt uneasy. Bori, following late, leisurely passed them and leaped onto the bed.

“See.”

At the gesture that was beyond familiar and practically a given, Do Ye-jun let out a sigh.

“This one crushes me when they sleep.”

Just as it had been when he first arrived, whenever Do Ye-jun took a nap, Bori would invariably climb up his chest. Whether it was because being chest-to-chest provided a sense of security, as Cheon Sa-hyun suggested, or something else…

Regardless, since then, whenever Do Ye-jun took a nap, he had a nightmare-not-quite-a-nightmare of being crushed by something.

“They don’t do that when you sleep at night.”

“When I sleep at night, you’re the one crushing me instead of Bori…”

“Hmm… then just think of it as your destiny to be crushed.”

“……No, why can’t you think that you shouldn’t be the one crushing me?”

Do Ye-jun, feeling wronged by a life of being crushed here and there day and night, spoke pleadingly, but it didn’t work on Cheon Sa-hyun at all.

“Then do you want to sleep on top of me, Hyung?”

“…Forget it.”

“Why? You can take revenge. I think this would be more effective than the rolled omelets.”

“…….”

Crazy, he knew? He thought he had lost his sense of taste because he was too tired… Do Ye-jun avoided eye contact, pretending not to know. Then, he changed the subject while pressing various buttons on the pet cam app.

“Wow, amazing.”

-Wow, amazing.

The words, spat out like a robot, echoed through the pet cam speaker. And so, Do Ye-jun began an uncomfortable cohabitation with Bori, the pet cam, and Cheon Sa-hyun.

That day, just before falling asleep, Cheon Sa-hyun asked in a low voice.

“By the way, Hyung.”

“Yeah…?”

Do Ye-jun answered in a voice full of drowsiness. It was a voice so small it could barely be heard without leaning in.

“Why won’t you call me ‘honey’?”

“…….”

“You always called me ‘honey’ before you lost your memory.”

Do Ye-jun desperately held his breath and pretended to be asleep. Then, Cheon Sa-hyun leaned in and gave him a quick kiss. For a moment, his composure was greatly shaken, but Do Ye-jun barely managed to steady himself.

He even recited Buddhist scriptures in his mind, feeling as if he had become a Buddha. But Cheon Sa-hyun’s barrage of kisses continued, and Do Ye-jun eventually lost his timing to breathe and exploded.

“Hah! I can’t breathe!”

“Well, who told you to pretend to be asleep?”

“…I wasn’t pretending. I really drifted off… really.”

It was a poor excuse, but whether he was fooled or just playing along, Cheon Sa-hyun nodded.

“Try calling me once.”

“……What?”

Do Ye-jun tried his best to act ignorant. To this, Cheon Sa-hyun replied kindly, without even a scoff.

“Honey.”

He moved his lips exaggeratedly, as [unauthorized copy]if teaching a child visit our sitehow to pronounce it. Anyone [unauthorized copy]who heard it would know that was clearly ‘honey’.
