11.3 Clear Skies, Hot Sunlight, and a Bad Encounter

If it had been the usual thugs, I would have just ignored them, but this man had an appearance that didn’t seem to belong to this world. First, his height and build were as small as mine, and instead of a black suit, he was wearing shabby casual clothes with a hat pulled low over his eyes. His hair, including his sideburns, looked like a mess that hadn’t been trimmed in months, and the area around his chin was dirty with prickly stubble. More eye-catching, however, was his face, which was covered in bruises, and his body, which swayed every time he moved. For some reason, the man was limping severely on his right leg. Looking at his state, it was obvious he had been beaten.

Oh boy…

It felt all too familiar, and I couldn’t take my eyes off the man as he headed toward the kitchen. As I stopped in my tracks to stare, Du-jik slid over and told me who he was.

“That’s Oh Tae-cheol. He’s a guy we’ve been using as a part-timer since yesterday.”

“As a part-timer?”

“Yeah. The brat suddenly barged into the office yesterday afternoon and—ugh.”

Du-jik shuddered as if recalling something unpleasant and continued.

“He begged and pleaded so much to let him work here… I thought I was going to die of annoyance. No matter how much I told him to piss off, he wouldn’t listen; he stayed on his knees until nightfall. In the end, the Big Brother came out and said, ‘Alright, fine. Work.'”

“Ah… that’s what happened?”

“Yeah. I guess he looked pitiful with that limp and everything, so Big Brother couldn’t bring himself to just kick him out. After all, Big Brother’s nickname is the ‘Wingless Angel,’ isn’t it? I don’t know what he’s going to do with a heart that soft…”

“…”

I was so dumbfounded that I unconsciously frowned at Du-jik. Angel? A soft heart? I don’t know how transparent my expression was, but Du-jik scratched the back of his head and laughed awkwardly.

“…I was just joking. Sorry.”

“Oh, no. Now that I hear it, he really is an angel. His heart is as beautiful as an angel’s, so he accepts people who seem to have nowhere else to go… Haha.”

Just then, Jang-bae’s voice came from behind. “Head Merchant, you’ve arrived?”

“Ah, yes. Hello.”

“Big Brother is in his room. He’s finished all his busy work, so you can go in comfortably.”

“Yes, thank you.”

Suddenly, Du-jik leaned in close to me and began to whisper.

“Actually, you know that thing I said was a joke? That’s all stuff that came out of my own brother’s mouth.”

“Ah… I see.”

“My brother is basically the missionary for Big Brother’s good deeds. He goes around acting like a newspaper reporter; Read on Read BL Novels[unauthorized copy]man, his gift for gab is no joke.”

“I-I see…”

I suddenly became curious. I wondered what kind of conversations those two brothers, who looked absolutely terrifying, had at home.

At a glance from Jang-bae asking what he was doing sticking to my side, Du-jik quickly stepped away. He gestured for me to go to the room and then quickly disappeared outside, telling his brother, “I’m gonna go smoke a cigarette.”

Thanks to Jang-bae and Du-jik, a smile naturally lingered on my lips. Their looks aside, they were actually quite cute people.

As I opened the door with a smile and entered, Chu Gi-oh, who had been sitting at his desk, sprang up to greet me. His expressionless face instantly brightened.

“You’ve graced me with your presence again just because I complained a little. Come here, quick. I’m dying to hold you.”

With that, he spread his arms wide and walked toward me. Chu Gi-oh didn’t come all the way; he stopped halfway and waited for me to throw myself into his arms. The moment I stepped forward and hugged him, my body was lifted high. Since this wasn’t the first or second time, I wasn’t surprised; I quickly wrapped my arms around his neck and locked my legs around his waist. Chu Gi-oh then supported my buttocks with both hands and showered me with kisses.

Sure enough, Chu Gi-oh sat on the sofa while still holding me and peppered kisses all over my face. He held me tight for a long while as I squirmed away, tickled, and then whispered with our foreheads touching.

“Did you miss me?”

“Of course.”

“How much?”

“As much as you missed me, CEO.”

The next step in the sequence was ‘teasing.’ The repertoire was the same every time, so I knew it well. He pulled his forehead away, frowned slightly, and clicked his tongue.

“I don’t think so.”

“What now?”

“Fuck, looking at your face, it seems like I’m the only one who’s been anxious. You walked toward me when you hugged me, didn’t you?”

“I did? I… don’t think I did…”

When I played along, he started kissing me again as if he couldn’t get enough of me. After biting and sucking until my lips were swollen, he finally pulled away and rested his forehead on my shoulder, panting.

“Haa, can I take my cock out?”

“No.”

“I’ll just take the head out a little?”

“No.”

“Fuck.”

This kind of play was our daily routine. And then, his cock sliding in and out of me as if it were the most natural thing in the world—that was the routine for him and me.

It was just as his hand, which had been stroking my thigh exposed beneath my shorts, moved up and firmly gripped deep between my legs. Knock, knock, knock. The sound of knocking echoed. Startled, I tried to pull away quickly, but Chu Gi-oh held me tight and frowned.

“What now?”

His voice was harsh, sounding irritated at the interruption. It was only natural, given that his cock was practically throbbing with tension.

The sound of the door clicking open followed, and then a man’s voice.

“I’ve brought some tea, CEO.”

“Tea? When did I order tea?”

“Well, it seemed like a guest had arrived… I’ve brought yours as a cold black tea… shall I bring it back later?”

Chu Gi-oh waved his hand dismissively.

“Forget it. Just bring it in.”

“Yes.”

However, the voice exchanging words with Chu Gi-oh didn’t sound unfamiliar. …No, it wasn’t unfamiliar; it was a voice so familiar it gave me goosebumps just hearing it. When I looked back, Oh Tae-cheol was limping toward us, carrying a tray.

Oh Tae-cheol, with his hat pulled low, suddenly lifted his head and looked straight at me. The moment our eyes met.

“What…?”

I was so shocked I nearly jumped to the ceiling. A man I knew all too well, a man I despised deeply, was standing right in front of me. It was my half-brother, Woo Min-soo.

The moment I recognized him, I unconsciously slid off Chu Gi-oh’s lap and stood on the floor. My fists were clenched tight.

I don’t know what he had been through, but the man who had been perfectly fine when he came to the military base with chicken to mock me had changed 180 degrees. I had vaguely heard news that he went to prison for fraud, but I wondered how anyone could change this much, no matter how much they suffered.

Woo Min-soo avoided my gaze nonchalantly and set the tray on the table. He had stared at me intently as a ploy to make me recognize him, yet now he was brazenly pretending not to know me.

“What? Is he someone you know?”

“Huh?”

Because I was so shocked, I momentarily forgot that Chu Gi-oh was [stolen content]there. [Read on Read BL Novels]He pointed at Woo Min-soo with his chin and said,

“You just jumped up the moment you saw this guy, didn’t you?”

“O-oh, no. I mean, I do know him. Uh, I was just surprised by the bruises on his face…”

In an instant, a lie slipped out regardless of my will.

“I-I had a rough idea after hearing from Du-jik, but I didn’t expect his c-condition to be this mess…”

Chu Gi-oh stared at me intently. My heart began to race wildly. I was barely managing my facial expression, but I couldn’t stop my heart from pounding.

“He… seems to have an injured leg, too…”

“…”

“Instead of being here, shouldn’t he go to a hospital…?”

“…”

I couldn’t understand why I was acting like this. Instead of playing dumb, I should have stepped forward and revealed the truth.

It wasn’t too late. If I revealed the truth now, before it got any later, the visit our sitesituation wouldn’t become complicated. I could just [visit our site]say that now that I look closer, I think I know him. Yes, I should just blurt out that this bastard isn’t Oh Tae-cheol but Woo Min-soo, my half-brother and a man I hate as much as my own mother. Then Chu Gi-oh would take care of the rest.

Just as I made up my mind to speak, Chu Gi-oh grinned, pulled me back down, and hugged me tightly with one arm. He pressed my head against his chest and began to whisper in my ear.

“He was even worse when he came yesterday. I was going to kick him out, but I got curious about his story, so I decided to try using him. What do you think? Is he okay, or is he a total mess?”

“…M-me?”

“You can feel something just by looking at him, right? If he seems okay to you, I’ll use him; if not, I’ll tell him to piss off.”

“…”

It seemed Woo Min-soo could hear what we were talking about. As he placed the green tea in front of me, he shook his head slightly in a way only I could see. The gaze that met mine for a split second was incredibly servile, unlike Woo Min-soo. It was as if he were saying, ‘Please, little brother. Save me.’ The Woo Min-soo I knew had never once looked at me with such eyes. With his appearance and now even his gaze changed, I began to wonder if it really was Woo Min-soo.

“What should I do? Toss him or use him? I’ll do whatever you say, so just give me the word.”

“…”

“Hmm?”

For a moment, the words ‘Toss him. Not just toss him, stomp him into the ground and throw him in the toilet!’ almost burst out. But Woo Min-soo kneeling before us happened first.

“CEO…! Madam…!”

The crazy bastard called me Madam! That wasn’t the only shocking thing Woo Min-soo did. He took off his hat to reveal his face and began to rub his palms together like a fly, sobbing uncontrollably.

“I-I will work hard. I will do anything you tell me to. I’m fine with cleaning for the rest of my life until I die. Please, just don’t throw this Oh Tae-cheol away!”

Tears streamed incessantly down his bruise-covered face. I was certain that someone other than Woo Min-soo was inside that body. Otherwise, it would be impossible to act so servile.

Chu Gi-oh pulled me away from his chest, though he still kept me wrapped in one arm. With his hand on my shoulder, he looked down at the kneeling Woo Min-soo and spoke.

“Well, since we’re on the subject, we might as well do an interview. You came empty-handed yesterday without a resume or anything.”

His voice was very low.

“Start from your name and tell me exactly why I should hire you. Just know that if even one thing turns out to be a lie later, you’re dead.”

“Yes, yes, CEO. O-of course. T-there will be absolutely no deception.”

“That’s just talk.”

“Ah, yes. T-then I will state my name properly again. My name is Oh Tae-cheol. I am twenty-six years old, and my hometown is Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do…”

That piece of shit… Starting from his name, there wasn’t a single honest thing. He said he had been released from prison two months ago and that unauthorized copythe Read on Read BL Novelsreason he absolutely had to work here was to [visit our site]preserve his own life. I didn’t know if that was true, though.

He claimed that since he had no living expenses after his release, he had to take out some private loans, but it turned out to be money from some truly vicious gangsters. He said he had barely escaped a crisis where his organs were almost harvested and had fled all the way here, sobbing as he spoke.

“A friend of mine living in Mugwang told me to try visiting CEO Chu Gi-oh of Gimun after hearing my situation. He said Gimun is a place where the kind of people I’m running from wouldn’t dare to challenge… So… I came here shamelessly, clutching at straws.”

Liar. If he had come to Gimun after hearing a friend’s words, he should have been surprised the moment he saw me. But unlike me, Woo Min-soo didn’t waver for a second. In fact, hadn’t he looked straight at me upon entering this room? That meant Woo Min-soo had known from the start that I was at Gimun.

However, it wasn’t certain whether the part about being chased by gangsters was also a lie. His appearance was too wretched for it to be a complete fabrication. Unless it was private loans and gangsters, it would be hard to get beaten into that state.

To draw a conclusion, it was highly probable that Woo Min-soo was actually being chased by Seoul gangsters because of debt and had fled here knowing I was at Gimun. Hiding his identity was likely an attempt to conceal his tracks.

Whatever the case, my head felt like it was going to explode. A man who occupied a significant part of my misery had suddenly appeared; it was like being hit by a bomb. My insides twisted at the thought of being dirtily entangled with him from now on.

“So, you’re Oh Tae-cheol, twenty-six, and you came to me to save your own skin, is that it?”

“Yes, yes, that’s correct. Exactly, CEO.”

Chu Gi-oh gave a short laugh, shaking the arm wrapped around me.

“Any changes?”

“Pardon?”

“I’m asking if I can trust your words. For fuck’s sake, how do I know you didn’t come here to stab me to death?”

“N-no! I would never!”

“There are plenty of bastards who act all loyal to your face and then scam you behind your back. What guarantee do I have that you’re not like that?”

“Yes! I would absolutely never do that. Please believe me!”

Under Chu Gi-oh’s piercing gaze, Woo Min-soo slammed his forehead against the floor. He looked incredibly pathetic, unlike the Woo Min-soo I knew. His leg must have been beaten so badly that he couldn’t even kneel properly.

“Then shall we write a pledge?”

“A… pledge?”

“If you’re caught lying, both your ankles get blown off.”

“…”

For a moment, Woo Min-soo’s expression froze. His mouth snapped shut. He turned pale, perhaps imagining his ankles being blown off.

I wanted to stand up and [stolen content]scream at visit our siteWoo Min-soo. I wanted to ask him why he wasn’t focusing on the play he had started.

As the silence stretched, my heart felt like it was going to burst. Woo Min-soo, you piece of vermin. Open your mouth and answer already…! In that moment, Chu Gi-oh clicked his tongue and spoke.

“Forget it. Why bother with a pledge? I can just fire him.”

“…”

“Yes. Well, I understand. Mr. Oh Tae-cheol, twenty-six.”

Chu Gi-oh gave another short laugh. It was an unmistakable sneer. I became anxious, wondering what he knew. As I glanced at Chu Gi-oh, he looked at me.

“You heard, right? That guy is Oh Tae-cheol, and he crawled under me to survive.”

Unlike before, he looked me straight in the eye. Then, without smiling, he asked,

“Who is he to you?”

“O-Oh Tae-cheol. Oh Tae-cheol.”

“The reason he came to me?”

“T-to survive. I mean, to live.”

He nodded.

“Since those are the words that came out of his mouth, let’s keep it that way between you and me until the end. Got it?”

“…Yes. Yes.”

After saying that to me, Chu Gi-oh gestured for Woo Min-soo to leave.

“Go do your job.”

It was permission. Realizing this, Woo Min-soo limped up and shouted loudly.

“Thank you, CEO! I will never disappoint you. Thank you!”

As I watched Woo Min-soo’s back as he hurriedly left, leaving the coffee and green tea behind and taking only the tray, a sudden chill ran through my entire body. An unknown fear washed over me and pressed down on my chest. For a moment, everything went dark.

I was scared.

I knew from experience that whenever I felt this way, things always went wrong. Based on my past experiences, I was certain. This was an omen of misfortune.

I used to describe this fear dwelling inside me as follows: the cawing of a crow.

To avoid hearing that chilling cry, the only way was to shoot the crow dead. Which meant I had to get rid of Woo Min-soo from here by any means necessary. If I couldn’t do it myself, I would definitely use Chu Gi-oh’s power.

“Um… I’ll be right back from the restroom.”

As I imagined shooting Woo Min-soo dead, my racing heart naturally calmed down. Thanks to that, my voice sounded composed. I could smile as usual. At my words, Chu Gi-oh looked at me as if asking if I was serious.

“What, you want to do it in the restroom today?”

“Yes, well… you could do that.”

I replied indifferently on purpose. After all, that was our routine. Chu Gi-oh chuckled and shook his head.

“How could I roll you around in a place like that? Just go and come back quickly.”

“You could just come to the restroom with me… and take care of your business while you’re at it.”

“No way. I’ll just sit here and cum inside you when you get back.”

After a beat, he added, “Pee.” I smiled instead of replying. The face smiling back at me was the Chu Gi-oh I had seen yesterday and the day before. He was tender.

Feeling heavily burdened by the lie, I stopped on my way to the door and looked back at Chu Gi-oh. I felt ashamed that I had deceived him by getting caught up with that son of a bitch, Read on Read BL NovelsWoo unauthorized copyMin-soo. I felt so sorry and wanted to apologize.

Looking up at me as if to ask, ‘Why?’, I leaned in and gave him a quick peck on the lips. I didn’t care if he figured out why I was doing this. In fact, deep down, I hoped he would press me and demand to know why.

Chu Gi-oh instinctively tilted his head and opened his mouth, but the kiss was brief. As I had mentioned once before, I had not yet reached a level where I could lead someone. After the short kiss, I whispered softly into the eyes that were staring intently at me.

“…I’ll be back.”

I expected him to grab me as I turned away and shower me with kisses from his side, but Chu Gi-oh didn’t hold onto me. He simply watched in silence as I moved away from him.

Leaving the room, I pretended to go to the bathroom and looked for Woo Min-soo. Woo Min-soo was in the kitchen doing the dishes, and as luck would have it, the heavies were away. I immediately grabbed Woo Min-soo’s forearm and dragged him into the bathroom.

As soon as we entered, I locked the door and slammed Woo Min-soo against the wall. I grabbed him by the collar so tightly it looked like I was choking him and hissed in a low voice.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing? Are you crazy?”

I thought he would shake off my hand and counterattack, but Woo Min-soo just submitted to me without any resistance. His eyes were brimming with tears, a sight I had never seen from him in all those years.

“What, Oh Tae-cheol? Twenty-six and from Namyangju?”

“I’m sorry for lying…. My situation is so desperate right now that I had no choice.”

“Desperate? So what? What does that have to do with me?”

“Min-jo….”

“What the hell are you plotting that you’d go this far as to fake your identity, Hyung!”

As my voice grew louder, Woo Min-soo glanced toward the door.

“Plotting…. I’m not plotting anything. It’s only natural to use a pseudonym when you’re being hunted. And if I said I was your brother, you might have been caught in the crossfire….”

My guess was correct. Woo Min-soo had come here knowing I was here.

“Caught in the crossfire? Don’t give me that bullshit! The fact that you even came here is what puts me in danger!”

“I’m sorry. I really… you were the only person I had left to ask for help….”

“Help? Have you lost your mind? Since when the fuck were we in a relationship where we help each other…!”

As my voice continued to rise, he panicked and tried to cover my mouth. At the same time, he shed pathetic tears. I was appalled. This bastard, who had slapped me across the face countless times, made me steal without a shred of guilt, and had thrown any notion of brotherly love out the window, was now sobbing in front of me.

“Min-jo…. Please, just save me. I really barely escaped with my life…. If I’m kicked out of here too, it’s a straight shot to hell. Please?”

“I don’t give a damn about that, so get lost right now. If you’re still here tomorrow, I’m going to tell the CEO everything. That you’re not Oh Tae-cheol but Woo Min-soo, that we have a fucking miserable relationship, and that I grew [Read on Read BL Novels]up like a piece of shit because of a bastard like you. Did you hear Read on Read BL Novelswhat the CEO said earlier? If you’re caught lying, both your fucking ankles are gone.”

I tightened my grip on his collar and continued.

“You picked the wrong person. Do you know what kind of man our CEO is? He’s a terrifying man who can dismember and kill someone without blinking! The moment I tell him the truth, you’re dead that day. Do you understand?”

“W-why is that the truth? Aside from me being Woo Min-soo, the rest is practically a fabrication…!”

“What?”

For a moment, his eyes flashed with the same sharpness they had in his violent days.

“Isn’t it true? If anything, I grew up like a piece of shit because of your mother; honestly, you grew up pretty well, didn’t you? You weren’t beaten by anyone except Dad, and you generally ate your meals on time…. And you even graduated school, right?”

“What…?”

“You look at me like I’m a monster who deserves to die, but if your mother hadn’t beaten and tormented me, we would have gotten along perfectly. I was a child too. When you’re getting beaten every day by a stepmother, isn’t it natural to want to take that frustration out on her child? In that situation, how could I have treated you well?”

“….”

I was speechless at his sheer confidence. Woo Min-soo was trying to manipulate me again by bringing up the abuse he had suffered in the past. There was no physical violence this time, but it was more severe than before.

“I’m a victim who shouldn’t be cursed at, just Read on Read BL Novelslike you. Do you understand? And there’s another reason why you shouldn’t act like [Read on Read BL Novels]this. I killed Dad for you. If it visit our siteweren’t for me, you and your mother would still be living in misery, getting beaten by Dad to this day.”

“Ha….”

“You remember the day Dad died instantly after falling down the stairs, right? I was among the crowd that day too. You smiled when you saw Dad’s corpse, didn’t you? You ran up those stairs because you were so happy. And what did you say to your mother when you got home? That you felt relieved the son of a bitch was dead? That it was all thanks to that piece of shit Woo Min-soo? And what did your mother say back? That the filthy brat finally earned his keep for once. Don’t try to deny it; I heard everything from outside the window.”

“You piece of shit….”

Woo Min-soo shoved me away. He stumbled backward. No, he fell to his knees.

“So Min-jo…. Please, just let it slide this once, okay? I’m not forcing you to repay the favor, I’m just asking you to pretend you don’t know me. Please? I won’t do anything, I won’t even act like I know you, I’ll just stay quiet until I leave.”

Woo Min-soo changed his tune and began acting subservient again. The fierce look vanished, replaced by tears.

“How desperate must I be to come to you and ask for a favor like this…. You know better than anyone what kind of man I am….”

Eventually, he grabbed my legs. He rubbed his tear-stained face against me, pleading.

“If I get caught this time, they’ll rip everything out of my gut and I’ll die. I wouldn’t mind if I died from a beating, but I really don’t want to die as a log…. I should at least be able to die like a human being….”

“….”

I shook my head. No matter how I looked at it, this wasn’t the Woo Min-soo I knew. That man didn’t know how to kneel and beg like this. It [Read on Read BL Novels]wouldn’t be strange [Read on Read BL Novels]to call this [Read on Read BL Novels]an act. To think he would kneel and grovel without a shred of shame before someone he viewed as filth and tormented. I couldn’t have imagined this even in a dream.

“As soon as I get the money, I’ll leave immediately. I promise. A few months at most. No, a few weeks. I-I really mean it.”

“….”

I stood there for a long time, looking down at the pathetic Woo Min-soo. I couldn’t believe I had once been so terrified of a man like this. What was so scary about this guy, who looked like he’d break in one hit, that I had trembled and avoided him for so long?

However, beneath that pathetic exterior, his filthy, cunning, and loathsome nature would still be the same. As Woo Min-soo said, I knew better than anyone what kind of man he was. He didn’t lack shame; he was simply enduring it with all his might to get something from me.

I gathered all the foul emotions surging within me and spat a glob of phlegm right in front of Woo Min-soo’s knees.

“So you’re saying you came here knowing I was here? All that talk about a friend living in Mugwang was just an excuse.”

“…I’m sorry.”

I poked the knee of the head-bowing Woo Min-soo with the tip of my toe.

“How did you find out about me?”

“Well… I contacted Kang Man-sik to see if I could borrow some money, and he told me about you, saying I should try borrowing from you…. He said he’d handed you over to Kim Jeong-suk for money, but that you seemed to have been sold somewhere good, though he wasn’t sure where…. So when I asked Kim Jeong-suk, he told me you’d actually joined a gang called Gimun. He said Gimun would pay back all the money he was owed too.”

I wondered why I had even asked for information that was so obvious. My only unauthorized copysources of information had always been Kang Man-sik or Kim Jeong-suk. Since Kim Jeong-suk was visit our sitegone, I suppose only Kang Man-sik was left.

“And the part about being hunted by gangsters? Is that true? If it’s a lie, tell me now. I’ll let it slide.”

“That part is true! Otherwise, I wouldn’t be in this state.”

“I wouldn’t know that. You could end up in this state for other reasons, too. You’re the kind of person who’d do that.”

Just then, I heard someone approaching outside. Woo Min-soo, who was about to say something, jumped in surprise and scrambled to his feet. He almost fell in the process, but I caught him, so he wasn’t hurt.

“I-I think I should go now. If the CEO catches the two of us like this…. You’ll be in as much trouble as I am. We shouldn’t cause any unnecessary misunderstandings before we reveal that we’re brothers….”

“…Brothers, my ass.”

Woo Min-soo was subtly hinting that Chu Gi-oh and I were in ‘that’ kind of relationship. Between the mention of the Head Merchant and the fact that he’d seen me in his arms with his own eyes, I couldn’t deny it even if I wanted to. Not that I wanted to deny it, nor did I feel a shred of embarrassment or shame. It was just that this whole situation was fucking annoying. Even a water deer jumping onto the road in the middle of the night wouldn’t be as hateful as this bastard.

“Then… I’ll take it as you agreeing to my request. Is that okay…?”

“….”

Without waiting for an answer, Woo Min-soo tried to leave the bathroom. I grabbed him, pulled him back, and blocked the door.

“Will everything be solved if you just pay the money?”

“Huh? Uh…. Yes. It’s a debt, so….”

“How much?”

“What?”

“I asked how much the debt you have to pay is.”

Woo Min-soo’s eyes widened.

“Y-you’re going to pay it for me?”

“Just answer the question. How much?”

Woo Min-soo hesitated, unable to speak readily. I knew exactly why he was doing that.

“Stop overthinking and tell the truth. Everything will come out if I look into it.”

“T-twenty million.”

“Twenty million? Is that enough? Can you leave here immediately with just that?”

“A-are you really going to get it for me?”

“I told you to just answer the question!”

When I barked at him as if I were about to hit him, Woo Min-soo nodded.

“T-then there’s no reason for me to stay any longer….”

“Wait quietly. Don’t do anything fucking stupid. If you’re Oh Tae-cheol, act like Oh Tae-cheol. Got it?”

“O-of course. I definitely will.”

“By the way, whose name is that?”

“Huh? Oh, a cellmate….”

“Crazy….”

“The older guys asked me yesterday, and that name just suddenly came to mind….”

I couldn’t even bring myself to sigh. Then again, where would his reckless and selfish nature visit our sitego? [unauthorized copy][Read on Read BL Novels]He was a bastard who didn’t even realize that what he did was a crime.

After opening the door and checking the surroundings, I let Woo Min-soo out. He looked back at me and spoke softly.

“I’m sorry. As an older brother, to my younger brother….”

“Stop the bullshit and get lost. What the fuck is this about brothers.”

After letting Woo Min-soo out, I closed the door and scrubbed my hands clean. I decided that with this, I would escape the guilt I had been brainwashed with since childhood. And in doing so, I would repay the favor of him sending Dad to the grave. After all, thanks to Woo Min-soo, I was able to be free from Dad’s violence relatively quickly.

Two days later, I stopped by the bank and transferred twenty million won and ten million won—a total of thirty million won—into the two accounts I had received from Woo Min-soo. One was for a loan shark, and the other was Woo Min-soo’s personal account.

Others might see me as a pushover, but I wanted to use this to completely flush out the filthy emotions stagnant inside me. The guilt of not being able to stop my mother from abusing Woo Min-soo, and the gratitude for him killing my father.

I wish that were the end of it, but the bastard wouldn’t be satisfied and would likely cling to me desperately. But from that point on, I planned to be merciless. I would start by telling Chu Gi-oh that I had lied, and then reveal every single fact about Woo Min-soo. Using my specialty of emotional manipulation, I was sure a fitting punishment would be dealt to Woo Min-soo.

In fact, I was volunteering to be the ‘money source’ because I hoped for that outcome. My true intention wasn’t ‘take this money and leave me alone,’ but ‘absolutely do not be satisfied with this.’ The more Woo Min-soo clung to me, the more he tightened his grip and tormented me, the more he would be digging his own grave—and conversely, the more excited I would be to run to Chu Gi-oh.

‘I can’t stand it anymore, CEO…. Could you please just kill that piece of shit Woo Min-soo for me?’

To shake off a misfortune as tightly stitched as this, one of us had to bleed. Since I couldn’t carve my own flesh, I had no choice but to gouge out the other’s.

I feel it sometimes, but I have a cruel streak in me.

To confess secretly, what Woo Min-soo said was actually true. He said I had groaned ‘Ugh…’ while looking down at our dead father, but that was a lie. I only did that for a moment at first, and then I smiled. A wide grin.

If you think about it for a moment, it was only natural. With freedom and liberation rising above Dad’s corpse, how could I possibly resist being happy?

Feeling that same strange sensation as that day, I missed Chu Gi-oh. I called him immediately and asked if I could come visit his office.
