Chu Gi-oh wasn't in the room but in the living room, where he and Jang-bae were piling up bags of money and using a machine to count it. There were more than a few rectangular bags, and the stacks of cash on the table were countless. Du-jik and the other heavies were nowhere to be seen; since it involved money, it seemed they had been intentionally kept away.
However, Woo Min-soo had shown up for work as usual. That brat really needed to wash himself; his hair and face were so slick with grease that just looking at him was nauseating. According to Du-jik, Chu Gi-oh had even gotten him a monthly room at a nearby motel, but it seemed he simply refused to bathe. I wondered why the hell he had changed so much... I wondered if he spent his nights drinking like a fish, just like his father.
The bastard held a mop and pretended to clean, but he was constantly stealing glances at the work, his dirty intentions plain to see in his eyes. When he spotted me, he flinched and immediately lowered his head, scrubbing the floor intently.
