Chapter 55 – 55
Dashing into the bathroom and slamming the door shut, Euro placed a hand over his rapidly pounding chest. Why on earth would someone suddenly strip when there was clearly another person present?
“Is he an exhibitionist or something?”
Then again, Melione’s choice of clothing was always like that. No matter how loose and thin the clothes of Southerners were, the shirts he wore always seemed a bit excessive.
Not only was his nape completely exposed, but he wore shirts with plunging necklines that dipped deep toward his chest. According to Raymond, it was because he particularly hated the feeling of a shirt collar touching his neck.
He had apparently refused to wear button-down shirts entirely as a child and was extremely sensitive to the texture of bed sheets and blankets.
He had even rejected the touch of servants assisting him with his baths, and once he reached a certain age, he always bathed alone. Despite all that, he had no problem grabbing other people’s wrists whenever he pleased without asking for permission.
“He would’ve thrown a complete fit if I had done that.”
Feeling the tremors of his heart gradually subside beneath his palm, Euro slowly lifted his head. There, reflected in the mirror, was his own flushed face.
Under the bright moonlight, the image was vivid. Euro looked so disheveled in the mirror that he seemed like a stranger to himself.
“Kim Euro, get a grip. You’re going to die again at this rate.”
Euro muttered to himself in the mirror as if casting a hypnotic spell. He couldn’t afford to be so overly shaken by every little thing. He had a mountain of work that needed to be done.
“Just think about how to play this off naturally… This is work.”
Muttering this, Euro turned on the faucet and began splashing cold water all over his face.

Melione had finished bathing long ago and was sitting on the bed, but for some reason, Euro showed no sign of returning.
He could have simply gone to sleep regardless of whether Euro came or not, but for some reason, Melione couldn’t sleep. No sound came from the bedroom across the way, and after waiting for a long while, Melione suddenly stood up from the bed and headed toward the closed door.
However, despite placing his hand on the doorknob without hesitation, Melione paused for a moment.
‘What am I planning to do?’
He had no reason to do this. If he opened the door and Euro was there, then what? What would he even say? Even as he questioned himself, no suitable answer came to mind.
It was simply absurd. Saying that he waited and Euro didn’t come, or asking why he hadn’t returned—both were nothing more than abrupt, random thoughts.
The moment Euro asked what the problem was, he would be left [unauthorized copy]speechless. [Read on Read BL Novels]Yet, for some reason, Melione couldn’t bring stolen contenthimself to take his hand off the doorknob.
He was simply too curious about what expression Euro—who had fled to his own bedroom just because he had exposed his upper body—was making right now.
He was not at an age where he didn’t understand the implications of a suggestion to share a bed. Moreover, that was especially true if it was the Euro Leches he knew.
Perhaps this was a result stemming from that erotic dream he had on the first night of his marriage to Euro.
The face of the man who had suddenly appeared in his dream and boldly climbed on top of him was still vivid in Melione’s mind. As if it hadn’t been a dream at all.
In the end, Melione succumbed to his impulse. He didn’t have a desire to lust after Euro Leches. He was simply curious about the Euro who would lie down beside him.
Click. The doorknob turned downward, and Melione stepped straight into Euro’s bedroom. There, he locked eyes with Euro, who was drying his hair with a towel in front of the bathroom.
“Uh, oh?”
“…….”
“Were… were you awake?”
“Did you intend to come in only after I fell asleep?”
Flustered by Melione’s sudden intrusion into visit our sitehis bedroom, Euro gripped the stolen contenttowel tightly with both hands. It wasn’t that he had specifically been waiting for him to fall asleep.
He couldn’t have waited for that when he had to administer the drug. It was just that, unlike Melione, who only needed a quick shower, Euro had separate preparations to make.
“It’s not that… I just wanted to take a half-bath.”
“…….”
“Were you waiting for me?”
“No.”
Though it was obvious to anyone that he had been waiting, Melione brazenly denied it. Euro gave a strained smile upon seeing him.
‘Is that bastard actually suspecting me? That the first night wasn’t a dream…’
The words he had babbled about being upset that they didn’t share a bed might have given Melione a strange sense of certainty.
If that were the case, he should just sleep quietly today, but no matter how he thought about it, if not today, there would be no other opportunity.
For the next few days, he had too much to do: meeting the Captain, reviewing documents regarding the spring festival, meeting Larry, and so on.
“Of course you weren’t! I’m joking, just joking… haha.”
“…….”
“Let’s go. It’s late, so it’s really time to sleep.”
Speaking as if soothing a young child, Euro passed Melione and entered his bedroom first. Then, he naturally pulled back the covers and lay down.
Watching him intently, Melione also lay down beside Euro without a word. Just then, Euro suddenly bolted upright and spoke to Melione.
“Ah, I forgot to drink my tea.”
“…….”
“I always drink kurn tea before bed. It helps me sleep better.”
“……Since when?”
“For a long time. I’ve been drinking it since I was in Norden.”
Answering naturally, Euro pulled the bell cord by the bedside. Before long, Raymond entered with the tea, and Euro offered some to Melione as well.
“Why don’t you have a cup too, Your Excellency?”
‘Please, say you’ll drink it!’
While he was smiling on the outside, on the inside, he was on the verge of grabbing Melione by the collar and shaking him. Raymond had already placed the love drug in only one of the two teacups.
Since the room was dark, the tea was poured immediately, and fortunately, there was no visible trace of the drug. Raymond deliberately pushed one cup slightly toward Euro, and Euro, catching the hint, picked it up and handed it to the silent Melione.
“It’ll help you sleep.”
Fortunately, Melione took the cup Euro offered without any particular suspicion. Relieved, Euro let out a sigh of relief inwardly and drank his own cup in one go. It wasn’t particularly hot.
However, for some reason, Raymond didn’t seem to have any intention of leaving the bedroom. Since the teacups could just be left there, he should have simply left the tray and gone, but his feet remained stationary.
When Euro looked up, Raymond was staring at him with a subtle expression. In that moment, Euro instinctively felt that something had gone wrong.
‘That cup was mine.’
It seemed that pushing the cup slightly meant, ‘This one is yours.’ Because the situation had shifted back and forth, they hadn’t pre-arranged specific signals, which led to this mistake.
Euro felt his throat tighten instantly. A headache, which hadn’t been there before, surged over him. Today was not the day. He should have given up the moment Melione started acting strange.
Barely suppressing the trembling of his hands, Euro handed the teacup back to Raymond. Raymond remained silent with [visit our site]a stiff expression, and Melione, unaware [Read on Read BL Novels]of the situation, also handed his finished cup to Raymond.
“……Then, have a good night.”
After offering a strained greeting, Raymond left the bedroom. Euro felt like grabbing the hem of Raymond’s trousers and wailing, asking how he could just leave him like this.
Turning his head away from Melione, Euro squeezed his eyes shut with a face that looked as if he were about to cry. Once the drug began to take effect, it was all over.
It would have been better if they were sleeping separately, but that wasn’t the case. He had taken the love drug, and Melione was right beside him. Once he started losing his reason, it wouldn’t be strange if he pounced on whoever was next to him.
Euro took a deep breath. He had to pull himself together. Once Melione fell asleep, his only option was to leave this room, go anywhere, lock the door, and spend the day there.
To think he would make such a stupid mistake in his life. If Melione weren’t beside him, he would have smacked his own head dozens of times.
With a devastated expression, Euro lay on the bed and stared blankly at the ceiling. Melione wore a peculiar expression as he watched Euro sigh deeply and lie down after drinking the tea.
He couldn’t tell what the man was thinking. He thought Euro would be all excited and chatter away, but even after being allowed to share the same bed as he wanted, he sighed as if the world were collapsing.
It was absurd and baffling, but since Melione’s own heart was complicated just from having barged into Euro’s bedroom, he simply lay down beside him and quietly closed his eyes.
Either way, once one side started going crazy, it would be a night like no other. Since the sound of Euro’s breathing beside him wasn’t particularly unpleasant or uncomfortable, Melione simply listened to the sound.
It was a presence of another person that he hadn’t even been conscious of on the first night. Or visit our siteperhaps, because he had been conscious of it, he might have had such a dream.
This was because Melione had never once imagined that he could lie down and fall asleep beside someone like this.
And so, unable to shake off the slowly encroaching sleep, Melione drifted off.
