Chapter 30 – 30

“How am I supposed to make this happen? If he doesn’t come, that’s it.”

Sitting on the bed, Euro felt despair. Fortunately, the wedding had ended without any issues. He had been slightly nervous at the moment he had to prick Melione’s finger with a needle, but he didn’t end up stabbing him two or three times in a row.

After the wedding, the two of them changed clothes and shared a meal. Since there were no guests to entertain, there was nothing left to do, and the time until night simply drifted away.

If they had enjoyed a reception or shared a few drinks, it might have set a mood, but waiting until night while completely sober made the day feel interminably long.

Despite the simplicity of the wedding, Melione seemed exhausted and shut himself away in his office after the meal, while Euro lay blankly on his bed, doing nothing but sighing.

Their blood, dropped one drop at a time, had mixed within the holy water, and with the priest’s sacramental rite, Euro and Melione became husband and wife. But that was all.

If they continued to spend their time in their respective spaces like this, there was no difference from when Euro stayed at the Dukedom as a guest.

He was tired in both mind and body, but sleep would not come. As he tossed and turned, the [stolen content]sun set and the visit our sitedeep night arrived. It was then that Raymond quietly visited Euro’s room and delivered unexpected news.

The news was that he would be moving bedrooms. It was right next to Melione’s bedroom on the first floor. With a somewhat bewildered expression, Euro followed Raymond, and as they entered the new room, Raymond spoke in a low voice.

‘The Madam’s bedroom is connected to His Excellency’s bedroom.’

‘Huh?’

When Euro asked what he meant, Raymond slowly approached the bed and pulled back the curtain covering the wall behind it. A door appeared.

‘It is a door connecting the two bedrooms. As long as it is open, you may pass through freely.’

‘…Does that mean it can be locked?’

Raymond nodded at Euro’s question. Euro’s brief flash of excitement vanished instantly upon hearing that it could be locked from either side.

That meant he couldn’t sneak in. There was no way Melione, who suspected him so much, would live without locking that door.

‘However, it will be open tonight.’

‘….’

‘Because it is the wedding night.’

That was the most welcome news he had heard. In other words, it meant that today, Euro was officially allowed to sleep in Melione’s bedroom.

He wanted to ask if Melione had permitted this, and if so, why, but Euro simply beamed and bounced up and down in place. None of that mattered.

From the moment their blood mixed, the countdown of the curse had already begun. An opportunity had arisen to stop it, even if only for a moment; what did it matter how that opportunity came about? Honestly, he wasn’t even curious.

Thus, he washed himself more thoroughly than usual and entered Melione’s bedroom in his pajamas. For some reason, the room felt much darker and quieter than any other.

He sat alone in the room, where only the moonlight filtered in dimly, and waited for the Duke. He did so while calming his heart, which was pounding violently with tension.

…However, there was a problem that Euro had overlooked. Whether the wedding night was prepared for or not, it meant nothing if the other person didn’t show up.

In other words, Euro had prepared everything else, but visit our sitehe hadn’t considered the possibility [stolen content]that Melione might not come to the bedroom.

“What a piece of shit.”

Euro flopped face-down on the bed and pounded the innocent duvet with his fists.

He hadn’t just prepared medicine for this day. There was one more thing he had to prepare to carry out the deed with him.

That was this ‘body.’ Presumably, Euro Leches had only ever used the front. However, the part to be used today was a different area.

Telling the servants attending his bath that he would finish up on his own, Euro sent them all away and remained alone in the bathroom to prepare that other area.

He knew how to do it, but it wasn’t something he had particularly done even in Kim Euro’s body. Although he hadn’t made much money, he had always lived a busy life day and night, so honestly, he had never touched his back.

Being a physically healthy man, it wasn’t that he lacked sexual desire, but when relieving it, he had always used the front and never bothered to use the back. It took too much time and was too cumbersome.

Therefore, Euro spent an unnecessarily long time sitting in the bathtub. He repeatedly brought his hand toward his buttocks and pulled it away in hesitation.

But since this was the only way to survive, he had no other choice. He unauthorized copythought it would be better if Melione took the [visit our site]drug and went half-mad, as the dragon [unauthorized copy]had mentioned, and just did it for him, but even such an expectation was a luxury.

Because there was no way a man who was dying of pain would suddenly be overcome by heat in his lower body and pounce on the person sleeping next to him. It was obvious that Melione would find even a boiling sexual desire to be a nuisance.

If so, he was the one who had to lead the upcoming deed, and he was the one who had to move on his own. Ultimately, Euro had no choice but to bring his hand between his buttocks and spent a long time groaning as he loosened the tight interior.

And yet, after going that far, Melione was nowhere to be seen—how infuriating was that? Honestly, Euro felt like crying.

Perhaps it was because he had cursed him so much, telling him to stay shut in his office and not wander around uselessly, but now that he actually needed him, the man wouldn’t even show his face, leaving Euro not knowing what to do.

The opportunity was only now. Once he felt his body become lighter even once, it would be easier to dig deeper into him, but the world was not helping him.

“Right, since when has the world ever helped me? If I just stayed still, I’d be stabbed to death, and now it’s just changed to dying a bit more slowly…”

As he muttered this and pushed himself up from the bed, the firmly closed door opened and Melione stepped inside. At that sight, Euro’s eyes widened and he froze.

Melione stopped walking as he saw Euro sitting on the bed in an awkward posture, looking at him. Then, his lips moved slowly.

“…Were you not asleep yet?”

“Ah, yes… I, uh, was waiting since you didn’t come, and I was just about to sleep.”

‘Damn bastard, he waited until I fell asleep.’

For a moment, anger caused the muscles in his face to twitch, but fortunately, the room was dark enough that it wasn’t visible. Euro quickly switched to a smiling face, pulled back the duvet, and sat up naturally.

At that sight, Melione let out a small sigh, approached, and slowly sat down beside Euro. He too seemed to have finished preparing for bed, dressed in light pajamas.

“I’m sorry… is it uncomfortable?”

Euro struck up a conversation for no particular reason. At that, Melione leaned his body slightly against the headboard of the bed and turned his head toward Euro.

“Let’s sleep. It is late.”

‘He doesn’t even want to talk to me.’

He could at least say something out of politeness; does he think I’m sitting here stolen contentbecause it’s so damn comfortable? Euro swallowed his unauthorized copysudden surge of complaints and turned his body to reach for the nightstand.

There was a fruit tea he had prepared in advance. Euro picked up the cup and carefully handed it to Melione.

“This… Raymond prepared it.”

“What is this?”

“It’s tea. In Norden, people share a tea made from dried fruits the day after the wedding night.”

“….”

“I mean, since nothing much will happen anyway, I just asked him to prepare a tea that helps with sleep. It’s a tea made from dried kurn fruit; it’s famous in Norden for being good for insomnia.”

“….”

“Since Raymond prepared it, don’t worry too much. I didn’t do anything to it, although… it might have cooled down a lot.”

Damn, it has to be drunk hot for the medicine to work quickly. Euro unauthorized copysmiled through gritted [unauthorized copy]teeth. It was true that Raymond had prepared Read on Read BL Novelsthe kurn tea, but as soon as he received it, Euro had secretly mixed in the drug.

Since sleeping pills and love drugs are types that have no taste, it was fine. In particular, he had put in far less of the sleeping pill than the dragon had suggested so as not to make him sleep too deeply.

Melione took the mug Euro handed him and spoke while looking at the red tea.

“I do not suspect you to that extent.”

With those words, he drank the tea. Because it had cooled completely, he drank it all at once without sipping, placed the empty cup on the nightstand beside him, and lay down on the bed.

Euro also lay down beside him without saying a word. How long would it take to fall asleep? He would have taken his usual sleeping pill, and the drug Euro added was on top of that.

Lying under the duvet, Euro pressed his chest with both hands, fearing the loud thumping of his heart might be heard, and blinked in the darkness.

After some time had passed, Melione’s breathing, as he lay beside him, slowly became regular. At this, Euro stealthily pushed back the duvet, sat up, and turned his head to stare at Melione’s face.

“Your Excellency.”

“….”

“Your Excellency?”

When he cautiously called his name, Melione gave no answer, seemingly fallen deep into sleep. Just in case, Euro reached out and moved his hand over Melione’s face.

“Are you asleep?”

“….”

“You’re not pretending to sleep, right?”

“….”

“Hey, you bastard, wake up.”
