Chapter 28 – 28
I didn’t want to admit it, but I had to. The fact that Melione was handsome. The people living in this world were all above average in appearance.
That was also why Euro constantly worried about his own face. As soon as he looked in the mirror after the possession, he had thought that if nothing else, he was lucky that his face was decent.
But lo and behold, Clope Leches was such a peerless beauty that Euro could instantly understand why the Crown Prince had gone mad, and even the brother who looked at him with contempt was a handsome man who suited the title of prince.
Euro Leches wasn’t exactly lacking in the looks department either, but when standing among them, he felt like he was missing that final touch. Thus, by his own standards, the handsome face of Euro Leches was merely “good-looking” in this world.
It felt even more so when looking at Melione’s face. Between the pressure to survive and Melione’s strangely prickly demeanor—despite his basic politeness—Euro had belatedly realized a fact he had forgotten.
‘I want to rip that skin off his face and take it back to my original world.’
How wonderful would it be if he could go back and live with that face? Then he wouldn’t have had to go through three survival shows or live as a failed idol wearing Pumba clothes.
Euro thought this while repeatedly rubbing his flushed skin with a cold ice pack.
Living as a failed idol who was the main vocal but slipped up in every survival show and then died to live as a prince in this world vs. living as a visual genius but being destined to die young around thirty. Euro’s choice was, naturally, the latter.
“…Whether it suits me or not doesn’t matter; what matters is whether it pleases Your Highness.”
Melione, who disliked anything cumbersome and preferred only comfortable clothes, had little interest in what the wedding attire looked like.
Thus, he narrowed his eyes at the sight of Euro, who sat on the sofa in silence, looking as if he had something to say.
If he didn’t like it, he could just say so. While making it from scratch again would be difficult, the details could certainly be tweaked.
Melione had little interest in this wedding, but Euro likely did. He probably had some expectations of his own, which is why he had that expression upon seeing the finished garment.
Euro slowly raised his head at Melione’s words. He was worried about how his face, swollen from crying, would appear in the other man’s eyes.
Melione was someone who had shown no interest in Clope Leches even after their marriage, despite Clope being someone anyone would admire.
When he had only read it in the novel, Euro thought it was simply because Melione had a ruined personality, or perhaps because his own life was too difficult to bother scrutinizing others’ faces, but thinking about it now, that didn’t seem to be it.
‘He’d be happy just looking in the mirror. That’s how a guy like that becomes a narcissist.’
Why would there be any need to examine others’ faces in detail? If he were bored, he could just look into a mirror. Euro had wondered what he did while shut away in his office every day, and now he felt he understood.
He could imagine how his own face looked to such a man. He probably thought, ‘The eyes, nose, and mouth are at least in the right places.’ No, to Melione, everyone might look more or less the same.
In that context, the sight of him rolling on the floor and throwing a tantrum because he liked him must be amusing. It was obvious that the man viewed him as if he were watching a kind of circus.
“How does it feel to live with a face like that?”
For some reason, Euro felt Melione was being obnoxious, so he spoke in a blunt voice.
“I do not know what you are talking about.”
Melione looked genuinely bewildered. To Euro, even that felt like deception. Usually, handsome people knew they were handsome better than anyone else.
Having rolled through the harsh idol industry, one encountered all sorts of people, and strangely, the [Read on Read BL Novels]ones who were generous and relaxed always had faces like this.
Unless they were tone-deaf, or so rhythmically challenged that it was unbearable, or unless a personality controversy erupted during the survival show, trainees who knew they were guaranteed to debut spent their days laughing heartily.
People like him could never do that. There had to be a sense of desperate striving so that a lacking face could be covered by earnestness. One had to be constantly on edge to smile at the right time and cry at the right time.
In that sense, half of Kim Euro’s life had been nothing but acting. He couldn’t simply be himself in front of the camera.
That leisure—the feeling that it didn’t matter what he wore—was worlds apart from Euro’s own image, smiling and saying “I love it! ^^!” whenever given something after arriving in rags.
Right, well, what could be so special about the daily life of a human who lives with that face every day? He probably lives without much thought, believing everything will be useless once he dies.
Euro put down the ice pack and shook his head.
“It’s a joke, a joke. It’s just because it suits you so well.”
His idol persona had popped out again, making him spit out useless words. Since his flushed face must have calmed down a bit, Euro naturally stood up and gazed at Diena.
“I’ll try it on too.”
“Yes, Your Highness. This way.”
Diena guided Euro with a smile. He felt Melione’s gaze following him from behind, but he said nothing.
He had thought it would be better to dress and check himself alone, but he was wrong. He was glad he had seen that sight in advance. If he had seen it during the wedding, wouldn’t he have just stood there blankly and awkwardly?
At the wedding, he had to be more alert than ever. Tomorrow, there were too many things to do from morning until night.
‘Alright, Kim Euro. Think of this as the first mission.’
To reach the final round, one had to survive every ranking announcement. Especially the first vote, which was a kind of stepping stone to make the subsequent missions easier.
Just like then, the goal was survival. Complete the first mission with a high rank at all costs. Only then could he seize the advantageous high ground.

Comparing his life after the possession to a survival program was for the Read on Read BL Novels[unauthorized copy]sake of self-suggestion, but seeing what happened to him from the morning, it really wasn’t that different.
Twice as many people as usual swarmed in from the morning to wash him, feed him, and dress him. Of course, he wasn’t treated this exquisitely during the survival shows, but it was the same in the sense that he had to strive to look okay no matter what.
The formal attire, which had undergone revisions down to the finest details, certainly fit much better than Melione’s clothes, which had simply been altered.
The clean suit, without a single wrinkle, was light and comfortable. There wasn’t a single scratchy part to the fabric; it was likely because the fabric chosen for Melione’s sensitivity had been used for Euro’s clothes as well.
Despite how softly it wrapped around him, the way it fell over the shoulders and below the calves looked sharp and firm when seen in the mirror. It wasn’t a flimsy fabric that wrinkled easily.
“Amazing.”
Euro stared into the mirror, moving this way and that. Setting aside whether it suited him or not, wearing clothes that didn’t hinder his movement and were comfortable made him feel like he could even dance on a stage.
“The wedding is scheduled to take place in the annex hall.”
“Can you explain the process in more detail? I don’t want to stumble.”
In his heart, he wanted to scream, [visit our site]‘Isn’t there a rehearsal?’ Don’t weddings usually have rehearsals?
However, since there seemed to be no such thing here, Euro sat in a separate space provided next to the annex hall and waited for his entrance. There wouldn’t even be any guests arriving, so why was it taking so long? He stared at Raymond with an anxious face.
“After entering with His Excellency, you will receive the sacramental rite from the priest. There is nothing specific for you to do; you simply listen to the congratulatory words together. Afterward, as I mentioned before, it ends when you drop blood into the brass cup containing holy water.”
“How do I draw blood? Do I prick it with a needle?”
“Yes, His Excellency will do it for you.”
‘So that bastard is going to prick me after all.’
It was just a difference between a sword and a needle. Euro nodded with a nervous expression, then suddenly looked at Raymond and asked.
“Then what about His Excellency? Do I have to do it for him?”
“Yes, that is correct.”
Raymond answered calmly, but Euro’s face turned pale in an instant. [visit our site]stolen contentHe wasn’t familiar [Read on Read BL Novels]with weddings, but he had seen them in dramas, movies, or articles in his original world.
But it wasn’t like that here. He was placed in a situation where he didn’t even know about the entrance or the congratulatory words, and the end of it was to prick the other person’s finger with a needle to draw blood.
As Euro bit his lip without answering, Raymond comforted him with a benevolent smile.
“There is no need to be so nervous. If you make a mistake, you can simply do it again.”
“I have to do it right the first time. What if I keep pricking until blood comes out?”
He had to prick it once, firmly and correctly. If he just poked tentatively, he wouldn’t see any blood and would just become a person who poked the Duke several times.
Though he was being poked every day. The thought of having to properly prick that guy—who looked like not a single drop of blood would come out even if he were poked—with a needle until he actually bled suddenly made him feel nauseous.
‘No, when else in my life would I get to prick a Duke?’
Since only he had been poked every day, it was time for revenge. The Duke would likely never stop doubting everything he did in the future, and he might not even be grateful even if the curse were removed.
‘I’ll take this chance to prick him properly.’
Euro resolved. Although it wasn’t the Duke himself, he had been stabbed to death by Melione’s sword, so it was his turn for revenge.
Just then, the door to the waiting room where Euro stayed opened, and a servant who entered bowed his head.
“The priest who will perform the sacramental rite has arrived.”
