Someone screamed right outside the building. Strangely, the scream seemed to fade away, growing more distant. It was like a villain in a cartoon being blasted far into the distance.

Sang-cheon lay flat on his stomach for a long while, staying still. Only when no more sounds were heard from outside did he belatedly snap his head up. Right, there was a child, wasn't there? Focusing his gaze through the darkness, he could vaguely see a small figure sitting there. It really was a child?!

“Li... Little one, are you... are you okay?”
