DB Vol 4 Part 5

Since he was already pressed tightly against his back, the refusal was meaningless, but the other man didn’t mock him. He, too, was breathing heavily and seemed completely devoid of composure. It felt as if only the will to obtain Won-woo’s permission remained as he asked again.

“I want to rub against you. Can’t I?”

Along with the words, he rubbed his hot member against Won-woo’s waist as if flicking it.

“……You can’t.”

Once again, the refusal barely escaped. However, he didn’t stop Gye Yoon from sucking his ear as if biting it. Or rather, it would be more accurate to say he couldn’t. While the damp, hot lips bit his outer ear and slowly descended toward the lobe, a tingling sensation, stronger than an electric shock, spread down to his toes.

The strange thing was that he began to steadily accumulate the other’s energy instinctively, without even having to focus on the guiding. Once he caught the flow, it was as if he were drifting down a river even after letting go. However, this violent current was accompanied by stimulation.

Won-woo realized that his own member had become painfully erect inside his pants. He wanted to take it out and shake it. No, he needed a stronger stimulus. He had never enjoyed sex, but in this moment, he wished for a hot, hard member to thrust inside him.

“Then, can I put it in?”

Flinch. Won-woo snapped back to his senses. He opened his eyes, which had been closed, and let out the breath he had been holding. [visit our site]Since more than half of the guiding was complete, there was no longer any danger in letting him go. However, Gye Yoon’s power would not release him, just as the large hand gripped Won-woo’s hand and wouldn’t let go. The excitement stimulating his interior had become too great to force himself away. The desire to continue enjoying this pleasure, like a drug, erased his reason.

“You can’t.”

As soon as Won-woo refused in a whisper, the question was heard again.

“How about rubbing?”

Gye Yoon’s hand entered Won-woo’s pants and slid across his bare skin. Goosebumps spread hotly across that spot like a burn.

“……Alright.”

As Won-woo muttered, the hand touching his body paused.

“You’re saying I can?”

Won-woo turned around toward Gye Yoon, who had frozen, doubting his own ears.

“Just a little.”

He lifted his head, adding the condition in a whisper. His eyes, now accustomed to the darkness, could clearly see Gye Yoon’s silhouette. He could also tell that the other was staring intently at him. Though the vision was so dark that he could barely see shapes, strangely, those black eyes shone to an uncomfortable degree. Within that light, a sticky desire and excited breath were mixed.

Knowing that his flushed face wouldn’t be discovered in the dark, Won-woo still couldn’t bring himself to meet his gaze and looked away. Then, using the excuse of taking off his clothes, he undid his pant buckle with trembling hands. He couldn’t lower the zipper. Instead, long fingers first wrapped around Won-woo’s crotch as if covering it and then stroked upward.

A shiver of pleasure, like goosebumps, spread over his taut member. Even though the touch was felt through the fabric, the stimulation was intense. When that hand pulled down his underwear and gripped his member, his knees almost buckled. Won-woo barely held on by grabbing Gye Yoon’s arm. In doing so, he realized belatedly that Gye Yoon had already removed the hand that had been entwined.

“Hold me.”

It was clear he wasn’t talking about his hand. When Won-woo hesitated for a moment, Gye Yoon took Won-woo’s hand and placed it directly on the area to be held. The hot pillar that had been asserting its presence behind his back was now caught in his hand. It was truly hot. It was hard to the point of being rigid, and the thickness that filled his hand was almost overwhelming. But perhaps because this too was the other’s body, the guiding automatically started again the moment he gripped it. Gye Yoon tilted his head back and let out a curse like a gasp.

“Ha, fuck.”

Won-woo looked up at him with eyes half-dazed from the heat. It was a pity that his face wasn’t clearly visible, hidden by the darkness. If it were bright, he would have been able to see everything—how the man was breathing heavily, unable to handle the pleasure. As Won-woo slowly moved his hand, the pillar in his grip twitched as if it were alive.

Every time he rubbed the pillar, which was already wet with fluids, the pulse throbbed in the protruding veins. That thumping beat was transmitted directly to his palm. Won-woo observed him while suppressing his breath, which was about to become ragged. Gulp, the other’s Adam’s apple bobbed.

“Ngh.”

A groan, as if swallowing, echoed from Gye Yoon’s throat. To Won-woo, that sound sounded incredibly erotic.

“Is it always like this?”

The captivating voice asked, cracked. Well, it’s my first time too. Since he had never felt this way through guiding before, he had no answer to give. But since it felt this good, that must be why Espers and Guides are so obsessed with sex and roll around so promiscuously.

“Yes.”

At the short answer, the other’s hand gripped Won-woo’s arm with a sudden, almost painful force.

“Is that so?”

The voice asking back was still husky, but a sense of displeasure revealed itself, as if mixed with a sharp blade. It sounded as if he viewed Won-woo’s answer as experience and was jealous, which made Won-woo feel strangely good. However, this small victory was pushed aside. Gye Yoon lowered his hand and grabbed Won-woo’s member without warning. Won-woo barely swallowed the groan that tried to escape, but the stimulation that made his head spin remained like a trace, heating his blood.

“Huu…….”

As Won-woo exhaled with his head lowered, Gye Yoon grabbed Won-woo’s buttocks and pulled him tightly [stolen content]stolen content -->toward himself. Then, gripping both their members together, he asked.

“What about guiding while touching like this? Have you tried it?”

If he had heard that question while sober, he might have laughed and asked what kind of crazy talk that was. But ridiculously, he really could perform guiding through those touching members.

“Wow, it works.”

Before Won-woo could answer, a ragged breath mixed with admiration burst from Gye Yoon’s mouth. He began to shake them, keeping the two members overlapped. The surface where the pillars touched could not have been hotter. The stimulation of being rubbed together by the strong grip was so great that Won-woo couldn’t breathe properly. He gripped Gye Yoon’s arm to support his body, which felt like it might collapse.

Huff, huff, huff……. Ragged breathing, from whom it was unclear, echoed loudly. Likewise, two members covered in fluids of unknown origin clattered and shook within the large hand. As the excitement rose, the guiding progressed with surprising speed.

The stimulation, unlike anything he had ever felt while guiding, grew terrifyingly large. The sound of rubbing, as if striking hard pillars of flesh—tap, tap, tap—mixed with the air that had become hot and humid like a tropical night. His mind went blank. Ha, ha. Won-woo lowered his head, letting out hurried breaths through his mouth. He felt like he was truly going to cum.

“Ha, ha…… ngh, ha…….”

As his lower abdomen tingled, the sound of his heart echoed in his ears like a drum—thump, thump, thump. He was so preoccupied with the rapidly rising orgasm that he didn’t notice the lips lingering by his ear. All he knew was that when Gye Yoon’s energy, which had been being sucked in frantically, finally filled to the brim and the guiding ended, he and Gye Yoon ejaculated at the same time.

His lower abdomen twitched like a convulsion, and a fishy smell wafted. As the other’s hand rubbed his [Read on Read BL Novels]member a few more times stolen contentas if squeezing it, Won-woo dug his nails into his arm. It became dizzying, as if white fireworks were exploding in his head. Gye Yoon muttered something with a beast-like groan, but again, he didn’t perceive it.

“Do it one more time.”

“It’s all been settled?”

Yoon-im frowned at the report she received at dawn. The person reporting was her husband’s secretary, but he primarily took orders from Yoon-im. The Yang Family was currently divided into two factions; unlike her husband, who claimed neutrality, Yoon-im openly supported one side. It had to be that way. Because that side was Yang Cheon-hyo, the partner of her father, Ji Geun-oh.

“The North Center is hiding the damage as much as possible, but according to internal sources, the deaths do not exceed two.”

“Ha.”

Yoon-im let out a laugh of disbelief, then her eyes gleamed sharply.

“One place would have been swarmed by the North Center, and the other place would have been blocked desperately by Gye Min. The last one was the biggest, right? The one who blocked that…… was it Gye Yoon?”

“No testimonies of seeing him were found, but there are eyewitness accounts that monsters died off as if a barrier had been cast over the entire mountain in an instant. Since Gye Yoon is an S-rank Esper, there is a possibility he blocked it, but…….”

There was doubt at the end of the secretary’s words. Indeed, no matter how much of an S-rank he was, who would believe that Read on Read BL Novelscopy -->unauthorized copyhe covered an entire mountain with his ability? Even Yoon-im found it hard to believe, but she couldn’t rule out the possibility. Because he was S-rank. People only think of the symbolism of the Read on Read BL NovelsS-rank grade, but Yoon-im, who observed Espers from the side, clearly felt the power an S-rank Esper possessed.

The Yang Family also had that very S-rank Esper. Yang Cheon-hyo had worked so hard to join hands with the Ji Family and seize control of the Yang Family, but the reason he still hadn’t fully possessed it was because of that one S-rank Esper. There were still many within the Yang Family who looked up to that old ghost.

S-rank was exactly that kind of existence, and that was why Gye Yoon was dangerous. Because he had never fully revealed his abilities due to guiding, he was an even greater target of vigilance. Yoon-im tapped the table with her fingernails, lost in thought for a moment. After a while, she spoke.

“Not bad. I was planning to make Gye Yoon rampage anyway. Where is Gye Yoon?”

“As you know, most of the spies within the Gye Family have been eliminated. Furthermore, it is said that the residential areas of the Gye Family have been under stricter control since a few days ago.”

“And?”

At Yoon-im’s cold question, the secretary bowed his head.

“I will send more people.”

“No. Monitor the Guides around the Head of the Gye Family. See if anyone is being summoned to the Gye Family, or if a new…….”

Check if a new Guide appears. This [Read [visit our site]on Read BL Novels]command didn’t leave her lips. Speaking of a new Guide, someone came to mind. Her younger brother, who was D-rank but possessed a Wave that could guide Gye Yoon.

Of course, it was nonsense for a D-rank Guide to guide an S-rank Esper, as it would take over a year, but her missing brother had been bothering her for the past few days.

“Madam?”

At the secretary’s voice, Yoon-im snapped back to her senses and uttered another command.

“Check the cave as well. If Gye Yoon is on the verge of a rampage, he would have crawled into the cave.”

Of course, crawling into a cave without receiving guiding would mean writhing in pain. Even if the rampage is stopped, the raging energy must still be carried. Therefore, it would be better to find even a Guide with a low matching rate and receive guiding. However, she discarded this assumption.

Currently, there is no Guide who matches Gye Yoon. For a long time, the Ji Family had worked to find and eliminate Guides who matched the Gye Family. If nothing else, there was no possibility that the Gye Family could receive proper guiding.

“If the cave is empty, shall I check for signs of a rampage?”

Yoon-im tilted her head.

“If blocking the monsters on the mountain was Gye Yoon’s visit [stolen content]our sitedoing, there would be a risk of rampage…… but well, he might not be at that level yet.”

The secretary still looked unconvinced, but Yoon-im did not apply common sense when it came to S-ranks. S-rank is not just a matter of a higher grade. Even if there is an Alpha seed that increases the grade, becoming S-rank is difficult, so that says it all. Well, it’s not entirely impossible.

“But if Gye Yoon stepped forward, we should push him to a rampage while we have the chance. We might have to move the plan forward…….”

Yoon-im’s voice vanished because of the secretary, who suddenly raised his hand to warn her to stop. As soon as the secretary looked back with a sharp gaze, the door opened and a man entered.

“Huh? What brings Secretary Lee here so early in the morning?”

As the man with a half-asleep face blinked, Yoon-im smiled at her husband.

“Go back to sleep. I was just checking on something the Chairman asked me to do.”

“Uncle Cheon-hyo did?”

Yoon-im approached her husband with a painted smile. He hated fighting and had a submissive personality, but he was also fastidious. Fortunately, Yoon-im knew better than anyone how to handle him.

“The Guide Center burned down, so a lot of data was lost, right? The Chairman is helping out. Oh, [Read on Read BL Novels]-->isn’t it about time for you to change your Guide too? I’ll send a list of new Guides later. Take your pick.”

At the mention of a new Guide, a childlike flush appeared on her husband’s face. However, knowing that the reason he welcomed a new Guide was because he anticipated Guide sex, Yoon-im was not fooled. Filthy bastard. While cursing inwardly, she did not let the smile for her husband fade.

One more time. It was because of Gye Yoon’s hand that Won-woo realized the meaning of those words. Swoosh. He stroked the member he was still holding. A tingling shiver spread through his body, which had become sensitive from the previous ejaculation. Won-woo pushed him away with his hand and quickly stepped back.

“The guiding is over.”

“I know.”

The answer was truly brazen, but the situation wasn’t ideal for criticism. For Won-woo, taking care of his exposed member came first. I’m glad it’s dark, he thought, feeling relieved, when he suddenly remembered that Gye Yoon had told him not to turn on the light at first. Could it be that he had done that because he was embarrassed too?

“Can I turn on the light?”

……He’s not embarrassed at all. Won-woo looked up in disbelief. He hadn’t even finished cleaning up yet?

“You can’t.”

Won-woo spoke hurriedly, wondering what to wipe his wet member with, and then pulled his T-shirt up and off. He heard a faint sound of a breath being held, but escaping this situation was more urgent. As he hurriedly wiped his soiled member with [stolen stolen contentcontent]the shirt, he felt a hot heat and found him right in front of him. He gripped Won-woo’s arm tightly [unauthorized copy]as he tried to step back again. It hurt, but the fingers gripping his arm were so hot it felt as if a brand were being seared into his skin.

“Then, can I kiss you?”

The excitement underlying the low voice sounded quite dangerous. He had heard the same question just a moment ago, but he felt tense as if hearing it for the first time. Even though Won-woo had never felt threat or fear from anyone, his interior flinched instinctively. At the same time, a sense of defiance surged.

“You can’t.”

He pushed his arm away to coldly remove the hand, but it didn’t budge. While he was wondering if he should grab the wrist and twist the arm, another question came.

“Why?”

“Because the guiding is over.”

“That’s why we should do it more.”

What? He almost spoke informally.

“If it’s not for guiding, there’s no reason for us to touch.”

The one whose eyes shone dangerously in the dark twisted the corner of his mouth.

“You liked it.”

Won-woo hated his own honesty, unable to deny it.

“You naturally become sensitive when guiding. That’s why it’s easy to get excited…….”

“Let’s test it. Whether you don’t get excited without guiding.”

“……That’s something you do with someone you like.”

Gye Yoon’s grip on Won-woo tightened. As he did, he stepped even closer to Won-woo. Won-woo tried to step back reflexively, but a whisper reached him first.

“Is it okay if I like you?”

“No.”

Won-woo reflexively gave the answer he had been giving and swallowed. And Gye Yoon twisted his mouth again, as if he had anticipated Won-woo’s reaction.

“……Why are you laughing?”

“Because you’re cute.”

Sigh, Won-woo let out a sigh. He never dreamed he would be called cute by someone younger and more inexperienced than himself. Right, the other guy is a rookie, isn’t he? Realizing this belatedly, he felt a bit embarrassed and a sense of defiance rose.

“Does it make you feel bad?”

Contrary to the considerate question, his hand rubbed Won-woo’s arm suggestively. Won-woo suppressed the urge to take a step back and replied bluntly.

“Other words would be much better than that.”

“What do you want to hear?”

“That I’m horny.”

The hand rubbing his arm stopped. The silence was quite long, and just as Won-woo was about to confess it was a joke, the other finally moved. He stepped away from Won-woo and urgently grabbed his own shirt, pulling it over his head to take it off.

Won-woo understood why he had gasped a moment ago. Even though it was too dark to see clearly, he was conscious of the other’s bare skin to a tense degree. He could see the broad shoulders and the movement of the chest heaving from ragged breaths.

He felt anew how large the man was, blocking him like a wall. Won-woo almost reached out toward that body. He had considered himself a person far removed from pleasure, but he wanted to touch that body.

“I’m horny.”

The low voice cracked huskily. The words he had uttered to tease the other had instead backfired on Won-woo. He didn’t know why, but his heart sank slightly at those words.

“Can I do it?”

“……Do what?”

“Anything.”

The whispering voice could not have been sweeter. He almost pulled him in, but before that, he saw his eyes. Those dangerously unauthorized Read on Read BL Novelscopyshining eyes revealed a predatory instinct. Vigilance flashed throstolen contentugh his mind. Won-woo uttered the words he felt he had said dozens of times that night.

“You can’t.”

Can people change? In the Gye Family, Jae-hak was the only one who believed so. It was partly due to his naturally optimistic personality, but also because of his belief that if one continues to remain positive, the direction of their life will eventually shift in that direction. One would think that being close to such a person would have an influence, but as time passed, Min only grew more distrustful of people. Thus, she couldn’t help but doubt the intentions of her younger brother, who had stormed into her room early in the morning.

“……What?”

“I asked if there’s any work for me to do.”

“……Work?”

“Are you deaf? Or is it dementia?”

Seeing the rude way her much younger brother spoke, she knew it was indeed that brute. But work, out of nowhere, this early in the morning?

“What kind of work?”

“Anything. You said there’s a shortage of Espers.”

“There is. But why are you…….”

“Give it all to me.”

“What?”

By this point, Gye Yoon could have interpreted the curses flashing in his mind, but he managed to keep them to himself and instead kindly explained to his suspicious Noona.

“Work for me to do.”

“…….”

“Hurry up.”

At his brother’s urging, Min, still not taking her distrustful gaze off him, called for the general secretary and Chief Jung. Fortunately, Chief Jung’s reaction was not much different from Min’s, so she didn’t feel alone.

After Chief Jung gave a few responses similar to Min’s, a warning leaped from Gye Yoon’s mouth, asking if he wanted his tongue cut off. Only when faced with the prospect of his body [visit visit our siteour site]being “remodeled” did Chief Jung hand over the piles of scattered work. However, as soon as Gye Yoon checked the workload, he frowned. As expected, it was all talk; once the work was actually dumped on him, he hated it…….

“Fuck, this’ll be done in a day.”

He complained, left a warning, and disappeared.

“Find more tasks that require physical strength.”

After the door closed and he vanished, a long silence filled Min’s office. Only after a while did Min finally manage to speak.

“What is wrong with that bastard?”

“……Shall I look into whether there is an Esper who can transform into another person?”

While Chief Jung questioned the existence of an ability that didn’t exist in the world, Min shook her head.

“It’s not another person. He’s still just as rude.”

“True. That prickly way of speaking unique to the Vice Head is unmistakable.”

Then why on earth is he acting like this? The two fell back into silence amidst their recurring questions. It was then that the general secretary, who had been quietly tilting her head, cautiously brought up the guess she had made previously.

“Perhaps since he is receiving satisfying guiding, he now intends to properly help with the family’s affairs? It’s possible that the kindness buried under pain has been revived.”

The same emotion surfaced in the eyes of both Min and Chief Jung simultaneously. Don’t say such horrific things. Kindness? It gave them the creeps. The general secretary gave a flustered smile at the blatant distrust shown by the two.

“Since the pain of not receiving guiding has vanished and his body is comfortable, his mindset may have changed. Look at yesterday. Thanks to the Vice Head stepping in so quickly, wasn’t the problem with the monster tree resolved? The Vice Head has changed now.”

He asked the two, who still couldn’t believe it.

“Otherwise, what other reason would there be for him to seek out work that exhausts all his strength?”

What would have happened if he had been loved by his family as a child? Won-woo had actually never thought about that family until now. Since he had met Aunt like a miracle, he considered his luck to have already reached its maximum. However, seeing a father who gave love to his child without reservation in front of him, that family briefly crossed his mind. Would I have felt less lonely then?

“Ah, are you out of blocks? Should I bring more?”

Won-woo, who had been lost in thought with his head lowered, looked up at Jae-hak’s voice. Because the child was shy, [visit our site]he had been asked to show his face for a certain amount of time each day. Thanks to that, he was sitting in the child’s room today, stacking blocks. The person in the visit our siteroom today was Jae-hak, and his face was visibly excited and overwhelmed. And for good reason, as the child had finally come out to play with blocks together.

Hwan-i hadn’t spoken again since asking Won-woo if he was hurt, but just the fact that she had come out from that corner had the father so thrilled it was as if he owned the whole world. That was clearly evident just by looking at the work he had created with the blocks. Won-woo muttered to himself. This is art.

Indeed, Jae-hak was a block master. Setting aside the fact that the stag he made was huge, reaching up to an adult’s knee, it was so precise and vivid that it looked as if it might start running at any moment. On the other hand, Won-woo had just finished making some unidentified four-legged beast.

“No. The blocks are fine.”

When Won-woo declined, Jae-hak smiled as if it were okay.

“You’ve only just made the basic frame, so you’ll need more, right?”

“……It’s finished.”

The artist’s eyes wavered for a moment, but he soon smiled benevolently.

“The car is very pretty.”

“It’s a dog.”

Jae-hak seemed startled for a moment, but he nodded calmly.

“Right, a dog I knew before ran so well that its name was Car. Haha, looking at it now, it looks exactly like that dog. Oh, you made it so well!”

No, no matter how you put it……. Won-woo looked back at the artwork and then gazed at Jae-hak, who was praising him fervently, with curiosity. From the beginning, Jae-hak had no hostility toward Won-woo. There was only gratitude in his eyes.

It was surprising that he could treat someone from the Ji Family like that, and on the other hand, it was suspicious. He wondered if the man was wearing a mask. However, watching how he treated his daughter and himself in this room, he completely cast off his doubts. He was treating him just like his daughter. With a tender gaze, only praising him, saying “well done,” “you’re doing great.” It felt as if he had encountered the existence of a father he had never experienced, so Won-woo felt a bit awkward.

“You made it a hundred times better, sir.”

“Ah, I am quite good at this, aren’t I? Ahahaha—”

He was generous with praise for himself as well. But soon, he didn’t forget to praise Won-woo again.

“Won-woo, you really made it well too. You have a talent.”

“Does having a talent for blocks at this age even matter?”

“No, it does.”

Jae-hak shook his head firmly and searched through the blocks to complete the stag’s final antler.

“There’s no need to consider age or value when it comes to learning or doing something you love. How long and desolate is life? If you stop searching for things you love, it becomes even more desolate, long, and lonely. So there’s nothing bad about trying anything.”

Desolate, long, and lonely. Words coming from a man who was always smiling and knew nothing but his family were unexpected. Even that man, surrounded by people he loved, finds life long and lonely. Realizing this felt bewildering yet strangely comforting.

“So, Won-woo, what is it that you love?”

“I’m not sure.”

“Then, what’s the thing that made you feel the best recently?”

A pause. Won-woo froze while making the unidentified four-legged block sculpture. The thing that had made him feel the best was the erotic act he had shared with Gye Yoon early this morning. It had been so incredibly good that he felt a sense of self-loathing. Misinterpreting Won-woo’s silence as something else, Jae-hak comforted him with a flustered laugh.

“Even if there’s nothing, you can just start doing things that make visit Read on Read BL Novelsour siteyou feel good from now on!”

“……Do I have to?”

“Do it. It’s not something bad or illegal, is it?”

That’s not it, Won-woo answered in a mumble, and Jae-hak nodded.

“Then you definitely should. Even if it’s something small.”

“……It’s not small.”

It’s just awkward and obscene.

“Then you should put in more effort and do it diligently. That’s the way to change your life. Doing what you love.”

Jae-hak spoke firmly with the face of a parent and asked his daughter as if seeking agreement.

“Right? You want Uncle Won-woo to do things that make him feel good too, right?”

“Yeah.”

“See, Hwan-i also says ‘yeah’……”

A pause. Jae-hak froze like a statue, and soon his eyes widened to their limit. The child was still focusing only on the blocks, but the father, having heard his daughter’s answer, couldn’t contain his overwhelming emotion and covered his mouth with his hand. Watching him, Won-woo realized that what Chief Jung had said before was true.

This man really cries a lot. But it wasn’t unsightly. Rather, he was envious. He felt that this man was living his life by finding what he truly loved and expressing it honestly. If he lived like that, would he really not be lonely? Won-woo lowered his gaze back to the blocks.

His hands were moving, but his mind was complicated. Something good……. It really felt good. To the point where he could understand why everyone was crazy about guiding sex.

But because of that, a sense of caution arose that he must avoid it even more. His body, accustomed to suppressing emotions and always staying alert during the war, warned him that such pleasure was dangerous. He felt he should snap out of it, as it was an act unlike himself.

However, this good father advised him to follow his feelings of liking. So, Won-woo gently brought out his suppressed curiosity. The question that wouldn’t leave a corner of his mind. ……How much better would actual sex be?

‘The Head is looking for you.’

When the summons came, Won-woo anticipated a few questions she might ask in the first private meeting. The most likely was [Read stolen contenton Read Read on Read BL NovelsBL Novels]a negotiation where she would offer a desired reward if he revealed his true purpose for coming to the Gye Family. There had been coldness in the way she looked at him, after all. However, the first question that came from her mouth completely defied his expectations.

“Do you happen to like Yoon?”

Won-woo almost dropped the teacup he was about to drink from. Fortunately, he hadn’t taken the tea into his mouth yet, so he didn’t commit the unsightly act of spitting it out.

“Why do you ask that?”

“Because I don’t understand why you’re helping the Gye Family. According to Yoon, you joined hands with us to take revenge on the Ji Family, but if revenge is the goal, you don’t necessarily have to join hands with us. Unless there’s an irrational reason.”

A sharp gaze stared intently at Won-woo as if to uncover the truth.

“I’ve heard of some who become irrationally obsessed because they’re crazy for guiding sex, but it’s not that for the two of you, is it?”

“……That’s right.”

Won-woo pretended to drink the tea and lowered his trembling eyes.

“So, what is the real reason?”

Won-woo took a deep breath while looking at her expressionless face.

“It is for revenge. I chose the Gye Family because the possibility of succeeding in my revenge is the highest here.”

“We are a place where even the Espers we have are leaving due to the shortage of Guides. If a war were to break out, it would be a certain defeat.”

Sarcasm was laced in the Head’s voice. It was as if it contained an accusation that the Ji Family was the one who made it so. Won-woo calmly agreed with her words.

“Yes. That’s why it’s better for me. Because it’s a place where I am needed.”

“Are you planning to guide all the Espers by yourself?”

“Hardly.” Won-woo smiled slightly and shook his head.

“I’ll have to bring in Guides.”

“How?”

“Using the methods they are good at. It’s easy if you use conspiracies, false rumors, and spies to stab them in the back.”

Ha. A bewildered laugh escaped Min’s lips. Seeing her laugh, Won-woo thought that the siblings were indeed similar. When he had spoken to Gye Yoon in that manner, he hadn’t been offended; rather, he had seemed interested. However, Min did not readily agree with his opinion.

“You’re saying I should become just as filthy.”

“You weren’t planning on using righteous methods anyway.”

“You’re speaking quite insolently.”

Min’s voice was cold, but a glint of amusement appeared in her eyes.

“I just want to be honest in front of an ally.”

“If you’re going to use conspiracies, lies, and spies, there’s no need to use you specifically.”

“No. It’s only effective if I do it. Because I have the information.”

Min didn’t ask what information it was. Instead, she stared at him and asked.

“What if you are the spy?”

“Then the Head, your brother, and your daughter would have died by my hand long ago.”

The temperature in Min’s eyes seemed to drop instantly, filling with a chill. The air became cold as if the actual internal temperature had decreased. It was a murderous gaze that would have made an ordinary person wet their pants, but fortunately, Won-woo was not easily intimidated by Espers.

“But I don’t want to do that. It’s not just because of revenge. It might be an irrational reason as you said, but I……”

Won-woo cast his gaze out the window and added in a murmur.

“……like it here.”

The shortage of Guides had caused Espers to leave the North. The Gye Family spent vast amounts of money to hire free-contract Espers, known as mercenaries, but they brought other problems.

Since their only goal was money and they had no affection for the North, many acted willfully and caused harm. However, as the saying goes, ‘even a rotten fish is [[Read on Read BL Novels]class="wm" style="opacity:0;font-size:1px;user-select:all;">stolen content]still a fish’; because they were there, they could at least remain safe from the danger of monsters.

Therefore, there were few who could stop them even when they behaved outrageously. The North Center, which was in charge of Sector 39, was in a similar situation. There were so many mercenaries here that the proportion of Center-affiliated Espers was only 60%. That meant there was a lot of tyranny committed by them.

Team Leader Choi, who was nearly sixty, had originally thought about retiring, but he was an Esper still working in the field due to the shortage of manpower. The reason he had applied for support at the Gye Family main house was also because he couldn’t trust the mercenaries.

And sure enough. While Espers were running around because abnormal energy had been detected at the monster farm, the mercenaries were lounging and idling at the command camp set up at the entrance, as if they were on vacation.

“Hey, didn’t you get the call to switch shifts?”

When Team Leader Choi entered the tent covered in dust, only a few glanced at him. Seeing them still chatting or fiddling with their phones, Team Leader Choi’s voice rose.

“You people, if you’ve taken the money, be worth the money!”

There were 11 mercenaries in total, but this time, barely half of them looked up. Even then, their faces were full of ridicule.

“It’s not like you’re the one who gave us the money, right?”

When a mercenary in his late 30s asked back with a laugh in his voice, others chuckled along. Team Leader [stolen stolen contentcontent]Choi glared with a deep scowl.

“What does it matter who gave the money? Don’t you know the problem is that you’re not doing the work you were paid for? Or are you unable to do it because you lack the ability? Then say so. I’ll let the person who paid you know clearly.”

“Mister.”

The person who had been sitting almost lying down behind the mercenaries called out to Team Leader Choi while raising his upper body. As the mercenary in his mid-30s stood up, Team Leader Choi frowned further. More than the title the man used to call him, he was bothered by the mercenary’s ears. He was wearing five suppression piercings. An Esper with such unstable energy came as a mercenary?

“Want to see my ability?”

“Do you want to brag about your skills? Then get into the farm right now!”

“Team Leader……”

A subordinate who had hurriedly followed him in grabbed Team Leader Choi’s arm to stop him, glancing at the mercenary. The subordinate also hated mercenaries to the point of grinding his teeth, but there was a reason they were leaving them alone this time. Six of the mercenaries inside moved as one team. And the rumors about them were quite bad.

The one who could be called their leader was that A-rank Esper with five piercings. As the number of piercings indicated, he was an Esper with a high risk of rampage, but he was a mad dog who used his power randomly without caring about it. His team members also acted arrogantly, trusting him, and he hadn’t known they would be among the mercenaries supporting them today.

“Let go. No matter how short we are on Espers that we bring in mercenaries, there’ve never been such brazen stolen contentbastards who [unauthorized copy]idle around so openly. Other mercenaries at least pretend to work because they’re mindful of the Gye Family that pays them, but these guys……”

“That’s because it’s written in our contract that we don’t need to pretend to work.”

When the leader spoke in a relaxed voice, not only Team Leader Choi but even the subordinate who had been stopping him widened his eyes in surprise. What kind of contract says you don’t have to work? As if reading their confusion, ridicule spread again among the leader and his subordinates. One of the laughing mercenaries told them the reason boastfully.

“We’re incredibly skilled, but we have one drawback. We use our power without worrying about rampaging. But it’s not like we get a bonus for rampaging, right? So there’s a special clause in our contract. If there’s a risk of rampage, we can stop working.”

The mercenary pointed with his hand to himself and the colleagues around him.

“Right now, we’re on the verge of a rampage.”

The words spoken while lounging and looking at a phone were obviously bullshit to anyone. Anger spread across Team Leader Choi’s face. And noticing he was about to say something, the mercenary leader preempted him.

“Want me to show you what a rampage is?”

It was just as Team Leader Choi was unable to push further due to the fierce, threatening voice.

“Ack.”

The mercenary leader suddenly widened his eyes, exhaled sharply, and his face began to turn red. What’s wrong with him? At first, everyone thought he had just choked on something and didn’t think much of it. But he opened his mouth and stared with wide eyes, like someone being strangled. His expression was unusual.

“Leader?”

One subordinate called out, but strangely, no sound came from his open mouth. Yet, he looked exactly like someone screaming.

“What’s happening?”
