8.1 Mycin
Chu Gi-oh woke up about an hour later. He stretched with a loud crack of his bones and turned on the light. He pulled me, who had turned away, into his arms and pressed his erect cock between my buttocks. A husky voice reached my ears.
“Show me your face.”
The shame I had tried so hard to suppress while I was awake surged back the moment I heard his voice. I couldn’t bring myself to look at him—the man who had accepted all my eccentricities. He moved his hips, urging me on.
“Hurry up. I couldn’t see you while you were sleepin’.”
You probably don’t feel anything looking at me. You probably just want to shove your cock in. I let out a sigh, regardless of whether Chu Gi-oh heard it or not, and a low chuckle followed immediately.
“It’s alright.”
Laughing as if he knew exactly what was on my mind, Chu Gi-oh rubbed his face against the crown of my head.
“Ain’t a single thing to be ashamed of. You think I was well-behaved?”
“….”
“You were actin’ all pretty, but me? I wasn’t some starved dog, but I was in heat, runnin’ wild like my life depended on it. I was even callin’ you ‘grandma’ and all.”
“….”
Those words weren’t comforting in the slightest. Chu Gi-oh was overlooking one fact: he was naturally a starved, in-heat kind of person. In contrast, I had never been as completely exposed in front of him as I was yesterday. Chu Gi-oh would never understand how I felt.
Seeing me motionless, he coaxed me as he always did.
“I told ya, it’s alright. I just thought you were so pretty I could die; I didn’t think for a second that you were being arrogant or anythin’. You were so damn pretty and good that I almost want to feed you liquor instead of water from now on.”
“….”
“Should I do that, or you wanna look at me now?”
“….”
It was a threat that didn’t even feel like a threat. Because of that, I wasn’t scared at all. When I still didn’t move, he eventually forced my body to roll over. Fearing our eyes might meet during the process, I quickly lowered my head and curled up. Because of that, regardless of my intention, I ended up burrowing into Chu Gi-oh’s chest. Truly… life never went as planned.
“What’s this? You still drunk?”
…I wish I were, Gio.
Chu Gi-oh laughed so hard his whole body vibrated as he hugged me tight. After squeezing me once as if to crush me, he pulled back slightly and lifted my head. He rubbed his forehead gently against mine and softly stroked my cheek with his hand. Then, he gave me a late morning greeting.
“Did ya sleep well? Your stomach feelin’ okay?”
Overcoming my embarrassment, I nodded. Rather than clinging to an irreversible event and suffering, a frontal breakthrough was better. In a few days, yesterday’s events would be forgotten, overshadowed by the shock of the new days spent with Chu Gi-oh.
The thumb that had been stroking my cheek now brushed against my lips.
“How is it that you drank that much and not a single part of ya is swollen? Everything’s just the same, exactly the same.”
“….”
“You’re so pretty I think I’m goin’ blind.”
“….”
As if no one could tell he was lying. Even if I had only seen how I looked immediately after drinking for the first time yesterday, I knew very well how I looked the day after. A face as pale and bloodless as a patient’s, two sunken eyes that had lost their vitality. Parched lips. It was because of that pitiful appearance that Ms. Jin had fought with Kim Jeong-suk.
‘If you have eyes, look at the kid’s face. His lips are all cracked, standin’ there like a child who hasn’t had a drop of porridge.’
Of course, in Ms. Jin’s case, the fact that I had been beaten the day before played a large part.
Still, they were grateful words. They were words of praise, words meant for my benefit. When I paid him back with a “…You too, CEO,” he hugged me as if he were about to climb on top of me.
“You think I’m handsome?”
“Of course… You are handsome. And tall…”
“Is that all? Nothin’ else?”
“Uh… Your body is great, too. Your muscles are just…”
“More.”
Ugh. If I had known he’d dig this deep, I wouldn’t have flattered him.
“More!”
“Uh… Your teeth are very straight. Ah, and, that part is big… That part is just… Yes.”
“That part, hah, where is that?”
“Your cock. Ah, no, your dick. No, your pepper.”
“Fuck!”
He climbed completely on top of me and unauthorized copyfinally began [unauthorized copy]to rub his cock against my [Read on Read BL Novels]genitals. At this rate, we were going to do it again.
“Is it a habit of yours to kill me! Kill me, then seduce me!”
“No, wa-wait a second…”
“How’d ya even sleep, wantin’ to eat mine so bad? You were awake early, waitin’ for the right moment to grab it and eat it, weren’t ya?”
“No way…!”
“Like hell!”
His energy was so high I couldn’t keep up. Despite everything he did yesterday, he was dozens of times more vigorous than I was at twenty-three. Meanwhile, due to the aftermath of yesterday, no matter how much I was stimulated, I couldn’t even get a hard-on.
Wherever his cock brushed, it left moisture. It seemed like a matter of time before it burrowed into my hole. I struggled to push away Chu Gi-oh, who was acting like a dog in heat, and spoke.
“I can’t. If you do more, I might actually die. Really, CEO, please.”
“Am I the one doin’ it, or are you?”
“I, I moved a lot yesterday too, you know?”
“Fuck.”
After letting out a curse, he seemed to pull away from me, only to sit down straddling my waist. Looking down at me as I let out a groan from his heavy weight, he spoke.
“Since I’m acknowledgin’ it, just stay still. I’ll finish quickly.”
“What, what are you planning to…?”
“I’m sayin’ I’ll finish with my hand without puttin’ it in. If you don’t even let me do that, you’re really…”
Before he could finish his sentence, he lifted his hips and stood up. He trapped my entire upper body, including my arms, between his legs and moved his knees upward. Positioning himself right above my face, he began to shake his erect penis.
“Don’t move. Huu, and don’t close your eyes.”
Fluid dripped onto my face.
“Hng, CEO…”
“Why. Huu, why?”
“Don’t do this and… maybe this evening, no, tonight, do it tonight…”
“Hut, what are ya talkin’ about. Tonight’s for thrustin’.”
There was so much fluid dripping from the glans that it felt like I was lying under a showerhead. Not only did it fall on the bridge of my nose, my forehead, my cheeks, and my eyeballs, but fluid also flowed through the gap in my lips, providing an indescribable taste as I smacked my lips.
“Haa, Min-jo. See my cock standin’ up? Because of you, it’s hard again as soon as I woke up! See it? See it!”
“I see it, obviously… I have eyes… hng.”
It’s so gross, seriously…!
Chu Gi-oh looked down at me with a flushed face, relentlessly stroking his penis. His rugged abdominal muscles contracted and relaxed repeatedly. Every time he moved his arms, the muscles rippled. In front of his crotch, a giant python was alive and moving.
I couldn’t take my eyes off that grotesque thing. I felt as if I were being sucked into that thing, which boasted dynamic movements like walking then running. I felt that the moment I closed my eyes, the leaking urethral opening would gape open like a mouth and swallow me whole. It was a strange feeling.
Something felt odd, so I touched my lower half, and to my disbelief, it was hardening. It hadn’t reacted when rubbed against his cock, but it was already half-erect. Why? Why was this happening? Was it a visual effect?
Whatever it was, I thought I was going crazy. I tried to force it down by pinching my genitals until it hurt. If he discovered my cock was up, he’d surely say I’d been caught and try to mix bodies. More than that, I was scared that I was gradually becoming assimilated into Chu Gi-oh. I was afraid I’d actually develop a taste for a man’s cock.
Fortunately, while I pinched myself and sang the first verse of the national anthem twice, my cock subsided. If I hadn’t been rolled over so severely last night, I would have been rock hard. Anyway, while I was secretly struggling alone, Chu Gi-oh also reached his climax.
“Open. Your mouth.”
He grabbed my chin with his left hand. He spoke [Read on Read BL Novels]as if he would use force to pry it open if I didn’t.
“I’ll just cum here. I’ll just quietly shoot my cum. I absolutely won’t put it in.”
“….”
“Hurry up!”
Even if he didn’t shout enough to startle me, I had intended to comply from the moment he said ‘Open.’ Although he was acting vulgar first thing in the morning, it was true that he had some admirable sides. He wasn’t trying to force himself into me and was handling it bravely on his own. Besides, there was the fact that he had swallowed my semen countless times last night. Aside from the fact that it was too early a time to swallow something thick, there were many reasons it weighed on my mind, but I thought it would be okay to do it just once.
When I opened my mouth as told, he wasn’t satisfied and demanded something else.
“Huu, stick your tongue out too.”
A pervert who’s greedy, too, tsk.
As soon as I stuck out my tongue, Chu Gi-oh half-sat on my chest and shook his cock as if he were going to drive it into my mouth. After a moment, along with a rough curse, hot liquid splattered onto my tongue. It splashed all over my face, not just on my tongue.
“Haa, fuck.”
The slippery semen traveled down my wet tongue and into my throat. I hadn’t intended to eat it, but it was too difficult to keep it in my mouth, so I ended up swallowing.
A fishy scent wafted up. It was a taste I never [visit our site]wanted to [visit our site]experience again, but unauthorized copyit wasn’t so tasteless that it was unbearable. Chu Gi-oh’s experience swallowing my semen was probably similar.
“You don’t… gotta eat it. Just take it.”
Unaware that I had already eaten it, Chu Gi-oh panted, shaking out every last drop. His chest and abdomen, visible from below, heaved like angry waves.
Rubbing the glans against my lips, he pushed it into my mouth, lightly touching the roof of my palate. Then, he stood up abruptly from on top of me and let out a long breath, “Huu.” The hand that had been holding his cock dropped to the side of his thigh. His right hand, stained with cum, glistened.
I saw Chu Gi-oh lifting his head over his tightly bunched balls and powerfully extended cock.
“Hold on. I’ll get ya some tissues.”
Taking another long breath while looking up at the ceiling, he spoke while aggressively pulling tissues from the nightstand.
Soon, he supported the back of my head with his hand and held a tissue to my mouth to make it easier to spit. But there had to be something to spit out.
“Spit it out. You can spit it out.”
“…Uh, there’s nothing.”
“What?”
“I ate it all…”
“….”
I opened my mouth to show the empty interior. I even stuck out my tongue.
“I, I didn’t mean to eat it, it just went down on its own…”
“….”
“Now that I’ve tasted it, it’s, well, tasty. Haha.”
The next moment, Chu Gi-oh lunged at me and kissed me. It was closer to violence than a kiss, as if he were trying to rip out my tongue and lips entirely. Only after “Ah, ah” sounds escaped my mouth—no, only after I pushed him away while hitting his shoulders—did he finally pull back. I felt as if my lips had become like a duck’s beak from how hard he sucked.
He looked down at me with eyes of disbelief. Apparently, the fact that I’d eaten some semen was a huge shock. After acting crazy with his eyes for a while, he shook his head hard and let out a maddening remark.
“Where the hell am I? Fuck, is this paradise?”
“…Paradise?”
“Yeah, paradise!”
“….”
I didn’t know how to react to the word ‘paradise.’ Chu Gi-oh, on top of the speechless me, muttered to himself while nodding.
“No, no. This place ain’t paradise, Min-jo, you’re paradise. You are.”
“….”
I didn’t immediately understand the difference. Whether this place was paradise or I was paradise. ‘Here’ is a space, ‘I’ am a person. Before I could fully comprehend, he spoke with a determined expression.
“I’m tellin’ ya clearly today. You’re this Chu Gi-oh’s paradise, paradise.”
“….”
“Let’s live happily forever! Got it!”
“….”
“Got it?!”
“…Yes.”
My answer came out weakly. Suddenly, my head throbbed, and the forgotten hangover returned all at once. ‘You’re this [stolen content]Chu Gi-oh’s paradise.’ [visit our site]I wondered how many twenty-three-year-old Read on Read BL Novelsbachelors in the world had ever heard a love confession like this.
I wanted to ask him bluntly if he was really forty, or if he was fifty, or even older, and lying about it just to live with me. Looking at the words he poured out daily, including ‘paradise,’ and the way he acted toward me, it wouldn’t be strange if he had come straight out of the 1980s. If I were a woman, his proposal wouldn’t have been ‘Let’s have a wedding in autumn,’ but ‘Bear my child.’
However, it was certain that Chu Gi-oh was forty, just entering the threshold of middle age. The evidence was his appearance, which looked much younger than his age. If he were fifty with that look, that in itself would be a scoop.
I sighed inwardly. Whether he was forty or fifty, why would age matter? It would be easier on my mind to just conclude that he was just built that way as a human being, that it was his innate nature.
“Since I got somethin’ good, I gotta pay ya back. I’ll wash ya clean today like a bathhouse scrubber. Just receive it, it’ll be real refreshin’.”
Chu Gi-oh spoke as if he were going to give me a massage and stepped down from the bed. Then, he lifted me up in his arms, the way mothers hold babies against their chests. His large palms supported my buttocks. Afraid of falling, I naturally wrapped my arms around his neck.
“You, you must be heavy…”
“Stop talkin’ nonsense. This is weight? You ain’t even as heavy as the balls I’m carryin’ around. Put on some weight before you die of starvation.”
“….”
There was no point in refusing a man who considered washing me a form of repayment. With a person so vulgar and low-class, the best policy was to let them do as they pleased. Everything was easier once I gave up. Maybe I could live comfortably and without worry now.
Kissing my cheeks repeatedly, Chu Gi-oh headed to the bathroom. Just before entering, he suddenly stopped, pressed my back against the wall, and spoke.
“Just quit work startin’ today. Don’t force yourself to go.”
I gulped. Unlike before, a weak thought of ‘Should I?’ occurred to me. But I quickly refused.
“No… I have to make sure the handover is done properly. Especially at a time like this… and there aren’t many days left.”
If I didn’t finish things properly, I didn’t know what other leverage they would use against me. They were rotten bastards who could invent debts that didn’t exist, so there was no guarantee. No. Kim Jeong-suk and Kang Moon-soo were exactly the kind of people to do that.
Chu Gi-oh seemed to know this too, as he didn’t ask further and agreed with me.
“Alright. Do as your heart desires.”
“Thank you.”
“I’m the one who’s more thankful. For makin’ life feel worth livin’ like this.”
He bumped his forehead against mine. He smiled and whispered softly.
“I’m scared to die now. You know I’ve become a total coward because of you?”
“….”
For some reason, I suddenly felt a lump unauthorized copyin my throat. It sounded as [visit our site]if he had never feared death before, and suddenly, [Read on Read BL Novels]he felt like someone for whom it wouldn’t be strange to die at any moment.
To the following question, “Would it be okay if I lived a long time?”, I was convinced that it might actually be the case—no, that he really was such a person.
Whether dying from an enemy’s attack or dying from the betrayal of someone he trusted, a person for whom it wouldn’t be strange to die at any time. A person for whom it wouldn’t be strange to die right now. That was Chu Gi-oh. He had been that kind of person to me from the start.
The scar by his eye. The deep and shallow wounds embroidering various parts of his body. Those must be the definitive evidence.
“If ya say ‘yeah,’ I’ll live a long time somehow, and if ya say ‘enough,’ I’ll drop dead right now.”
Whether he drank or not, he was a strange fellow, and I was the same. I, too, was just built that way as a human being, a guy whose innate nature was like that. Seeing as I said ‘yeah’ because he told me to, instead of using a better word like ‘yes’…
“…Yeah.”
“….”
“…Yeah. Yeah.”
“….”
Even if I would look back on this moment and be embarrassed for a long time, I didn’t think I would regret saying ‘yeah’ instead of ‘enough.’ He would have to have done something wrong enough to me to warrant telling him to just die and disappear.
“…Live a long time. stolen contentAs long Read on Read BL Novelsas possible… Everyone wants that, so you too, CEO…”
He nodded with joy. He answered, filled with emotion, just as he had been when I had gone to him and knelt. “With you here, of course I should!”
“I’ll, fuck, live a long time somehow! Dammit, I’ll live so long you’ll get sick of me! Is that enough, then!”
After washing and eating, I took Chu Gi-oh’s car to the coffee shop. It was already 11 o’clock. As I hurried to get out of the car, Chu Gi-oh stopped me.
“You leavin’ without a goodbye?”
“Ah…”
I thought about the farewell process. First a hug, then a kiss… No, kiss first, then a hug… But what was the line?
“The sun’s almost set while I waited. Come here, fuck. I’ll do it for ya.”
Despite telling me to come, he approached and planted a kiss on my lips. He hugged me tightly with both arms and whispered, “Have a safe trip.” Then came the words that he liked me a lot, that he cherished me immensely. The voice shoved into my ear was intensely wet.
Only then did I remember that we weren’t the only two in the car.
Glancing at Jang-bae through the rearview mirror, he was staring straight ahead as if there were no one behind him. As long as he didn’t act out of character like he did at the drinking party yesterday, he probably wouldn’t even look back if we had sex right here.
Come to think of it, it was embarrassing again. Since even Jang-bae, who seemed to lack eyes and ears, was surprised, I had truly made a spectacle of myself. If I end up becoming as filthy as Mr. Chu in front Read on Read BL Novelsof me… I [visit our site]shuddered at the horrific imagination. I really should quit drinking.
Then, he pulled me away from his embrace. His eyes were slightly furrowed as we met.
“Don’t let your mind wander when I’m hugging you. It’s rude.”
The man was like a ghost. Rather than denying it, I chose to quickly bow my head and apologize.
“…I’m sorry.”
His rough hand ruffled my hair.
“If it feels like something’s going to happen, call me right away. Or call Du-jik.”
“Something… what?”
“Wouldn’t it be a problem if someone kidnapped you? You’re my exclusive, after all.”
“….”
He spat out those embarrassing words without so much as a change in expression. Thus, the shame was always my lot to bear.
With a smirk, he tapped my cheek. “I’m just visit our sitebeing [unauthorized copy]unauthorized copyoverprotective. Overprotective.”
“When you’re finished, take Du-jik’s car and go straight to the hotel. Don’t go poking around elsewhere.”
“Yes. I will do tha… I’ll do that.”
I took one last look at the crooked tie I had clumsily tied around his neck before getting out of the car. As I closed the door, the window rolled down. Chu Gi-oh’s face appeared.
“Go on in. I’ll leave once I see you go inside.”
After a polite bow, I turned and walked slowly toward the coffee shop entrance. I could feel Chu Gi-oh’s gaze on my back. Even through the gaps in the blinds covering the windows, the gazes of the girls were pouring out.
Three days. In three days, my ill-fated connection with Kim Jeong-suk would end. As would my filthy tie to Kang Moon-soo. I hoped it would pass safely until then, but as long as I was Woo Min-jo, I wondered if that was even possible…
I leaned against the entrance and watched the car Chu Gi-oh was in drive away. Only after the car had completely vanished did I deal with the people in the shop. Min and Ms. Hyeon were sitting at separate tables, Kim Jeong-suk and the kitchen Auntie were at the counter, and a young man stood blankly in the middle of the hall, whether he was a customer or something else. Kang Moon-soo was nowhere to be seen.
I cast a vague glance around and bowed.
“I’m late. I’m sorry.”
Tying a wrapping cloth tight, Kim Jeong-suk replied, “Do you even know you’re sorry?”
It was a textbook provocative tone. Ignoring her, I reached for one of the bundles Kim Jeong-suk had already packed, when the man who had been [unauthorized copy]standing blankly approached and unauthorized copystood beside me. Kim Jeong-suk handed the last bundle to the man and spoke to me.
“The new carman. Take him around today and teach him how the deliveries work. Figure out each other’s names yourselves.”
When I looked at the man, he raised his hand in greeting.
“Let’s introduce ourselves in the car. I’ll get in first.”
“….”
Setting aside the informal speech, what he did wasn’t a greeting. Aside from the raised hand, it was an act closer to a flirtatious advance that made my mood sour instantly. The crazy bastard smirked, licked his lips with his tongue, and winked at me.
“What…?”
Feeling like shit, I whipped around to look at the man as he opened the door and walked out. Around my age. My height, my build, a swaggering gait in flip-flops. Colorful Irezumi tattoos filled both arms. He looked strangely familiar.
Where had I seen that guy…
The memory was on the tip of my tongue but wouldn’t surface. I thought I might remember if I looked at his face properly once I got in the car.
As I left the coffee shop with a foul mood, Kim Jeong-suk shouted from behind.
“Do the handover right! Don’t teach him Read on Read BL Novelslike shit just because you think it’s not your business!”
I didn’t know how I had endured such insulting language. A laugh escaped me. I hadn’t intended to, but seeing how they acted, I thought it might be okay to teach him like shit.
I roughly handed the bundle to the man who was staring at me from the driver’s seat. Since he started with informal speech, it was only natural to return the favor.
“Take it.”
“Oh—.”
The man marveled as he took the bundle. Then, as if he knew me, he said, “As expected.” I was about to start the engine but turned toward him.
“Hey.”
“Yeah. What?”
“Why are you acting like you know me?”
“Ah, you’re just so famous. I was wondering if I should get an autograph.”
“…What the fuck are you talking about?”
“The rumors are filthy. That your Gimun is this.”
The guy, smirking again, curled his left hand into a circle and held up his right index finger. Then, thrusting his finger into the left hand, he spoke clippedly.
“A. C. Hole.”
“You son of a bitch!”
Ms. Hyeon and Min were getting into the car, but I didn’t care and grabbed the guy by the collar. I pinned him into the corner and raised my clenched fist. Startled by the sudden fight, Ms. Hyeon rushed toward me and shouted.
“What’s wrong with these two? What is it!”
“Hey, you two. Don’t make the car shake and go fight outside. From the outside, it’ll look like you’re fucking in the car.”
Min, who didn’t particularly like me, spoke bluntly, and Ms. Hyeon replied, “Is that something you should be saying?” while grabbing my fist.
“Talk it out, you idiots! Talk! This is still a workplace!”
My raised fist trembled. An a-hole. No matter how true it was, what kind of manners did he learn to spout that to someone’s face?
Perhaps not wanting a major fight, the guy smiled slyly and raised both hands in surrender. “Sorry. Sorry. My mistake.” Then he grinned at Ms. Hyeon, who had intruded in front of me to stop me.
“Ah, I just made a little slip of the tongue with this guy.”
“What slip of the tongue?”
The answer that came out of his mouth was a sight to behold. The strength in my fist vanished on its own.
“Earlier, the Noonas said this kid was the Gimun’s a-hole, so I just tried saying it too.”
“You fucking piece of shit, are you crazy! Why the fuck would you say that out loud!”
Despite having stopped the fight, Ms. Hyeon let go of my fist and screamed loud enough to burst eardrums, smacking the guy’s head. Nice. The guy who got hit glared and fought back.
“Didn’t you tell me to ask him directly? You crazy bitch, can’t you even remember what you said?”
“What crazy bitch? What kind of psycho are you! Do you not understand human speech? Is that what I meant by that?”
“Yeah, I understand. Why? Hit me again if you want to get beaten.”
“You think I can’t beat someone like you? You’re not even that big, but you sure know how to run your mouth!”
I should have listened to Chu Gi-oh. Why did I insist on crawling out here just to volunteer to hear filthy things? Listening to the two of them fight, I rummaged through the console box and pulled out a cigarette of unknown ownership. As I put it in my mouth and lit it, Min spoke from behind.
“Fucking nuisances, seriously. Hey, Kim Hyeon-ju. Let’s [unauthorized copy]just go separately today. You [Read on Read BL Novels]go with Woo Min-jo, and I’ll take that guy. Ah, fuck, just shut up and listen! Hey!”
At Min’s shout, Ms. Hyeon finally slumped into the back seat, cursing. I saw her through the rearview mirror, brushing back her disheveled hair.
Ms. Hyeon glared at Min.
“Didn’t you leak it? Why the fuck are you taking it out on me?”
Min ignored Ms. Hyeon’s words and patted the shoulder of the guy in the front, saying only what she wanted.
“Hey, Yeongsan. Go get another car key from Auntie. Tell her the handover is fucking useless.”
“That’s where I was born, not my name. Kim Chang-dong. Call me correctly.”
“I get it, so just go get the car key!”
Kim Chang-dong from Yeongsan. After looking at his face, I now knew his name and hometown, but nothing came to mind. Well, he probably wasn’t an important enough guy to remember. There were plenty of guys in the Mugwang underworld with his height, build, and Irezumi tattoos on both arms. It was likely I had confused him with someone similar.
“Why the fuck did you even come for an interview at a place like this?”
“Then why don’t you fuck off back to the Yeongsan boonies?”
As Kim Chang-dong grumbled for everyone to hear, Ms. Hyeon immediately fired back from behind.
“Did I just leak it to you? You bitch, don’t you know how to talk to yourself?”
“Is that talking to myself? Then I guess I’m talking into a megaphone right now?”
“What kind of aggressive bitch is this?”
“Oh—is this your first time seeing an aggressive bitch? Why? If you like it, want to date me?”
“Are you crazy!”
Listening to the back-and-forth between Ms. Hyeon and Kim Chang-dong, I suddenly thought of Kang Man-sik, who had grabbed me and sold me to Kim Jeong-suk. Come to think of it, Kang Man-sik was also from Yeongsan. Yeongsan, a small rural town right next to Mugwang City. Kang Man-sik’s turf.
‘Do you want to be dragged to Yeongsan, or are you going to bring your mother’s bankbook?’
‘If you’re dragged to Yeongsan, it’s over. If I kill you and bury you in the mountain behind my house, who’s going to notice? No one’s looking for you and your mother except debt collectors, right?’
Since it’s such a cramped place, maybe Kim Chang-dong and Kang Man-sik knew each other. But what did it matter? My relationship with Kang Man-sik was already settled. As long as my mother didn’t borrow money from him, I had no reason to see him again. Even if the vicious cycle repeated, I had Chu Gi-oh. As long as I was his a-hole, he would solve all the annoying things that happened to me.
Thinking that, this whole situation seemed trivial. I chuckled. While smoking, I even found myself listening with interest to Kim Chang-dong’s voice as he now fought with Min.
“Stop fucking fighting and go get the car key, I said!”
“God damn, you’re screaming so much! You trying to blow my eardrums out?”
The cramped car was soon filled with cigarette smoke. After a while, Ms. Hyeon also lit a cigarette. Min cursed under her breath and got out of the car first. Only then did Kim Chang-dong open the door to leave. Then he paused and looked back at me.
“I’m three years older than you. Don’t use informal speech with me. I’ll beat you to death.”
“Yeah, okay. I’ll be looking forward to it.”
Without even looking at him, I replied in a dialect just as he did. Kim Chang-dong snapped back.
“You think I’m joking?”
“Do whatever. Just fuck off. Oh, and leave one bundle behind. The Noona in the back has a delivery.”
“Do you really want to die?”
“Fuck off and die.”
I’m the same size as you, so I’m not scared, you brat. Maybe if it were Chu Gi-oh. Ignoring Kim Chang-dong’s last words, I flicked ash on the car floor, and I heard Ms. Hyeon burst out laughing. “It’s been so long since I heard that expression.” Along with Ms. Hyeon’s mutter, Kim Chang-dong let out a hollow laugh.
“You’re a fucking [Read on Read BL Novels]tough one. Well, I guess that’s why you’re the gang [stolen content]boss’s a-hole.”
“Yeees. That’s why I’m the gang boss’s a-hole. It’s fun and worth doing. If you’re jealous, just say so. Fuck.”
As I said that and took a drag, the car door on my side suddenly flew open. It was Min. Looking up, she spoke to me with a look as if she were seeing something filthy.
“Hey.”
“….”
“Just fuck off already. Stop showing your face. Is this the only place you have to brag about your lover? Fuck, is dating a man something to be proud of? Your neck is all covered in hickeys. It’s fucking disgusting, you know?”
“….”
No matter how angry I get, I don’t fight with women. That’s my creed. That’s the creed of the worthless Woo Min-jo. I’m already spending my time with my legs spread under a man; if I start fighting with women too… that would be truly pathetic. Comforting myself with that thought, I ignored her and just smoked. Thankfully, Ms. Hyeon tried to settle the situation for me.
“Hey, Choi Min-young. Are you perhaps jealous of Min-jo? Is that why you keep running your mouth and picking fights?”
“….”
“Why? Did the Gimun CEO not take you? Did he tell you to fuck off? Right? Right!”
“…What the fuck [visit our site]are stolen content[visit our site]you talking about, you bitch. Watch your mouth before I rip it off.”
“My goodness, so scary. Are you going to turn into the Slit-Mouthed Woman by tomorrow?”
At Ms. Hyeon’s mocking words, Min’s expression distorted, having been hit where it hurt. She gave me one last glare and slammed the car door. Kim Chang-dong also slammed the passenger door and disappeared.
It was a day I missed Ms. Jin. If only she were here, everything would have gone smoothly. Should I contact her and ask if she’s coming in late today?
“Where should I go, Noona?”
Tossing the cigarette out the window, I asked Ms. Hyeon, and she answered cautiously.
“Jangheung Livestock.”
About five minutes after starting, Ms. Hyeon spoke to me. Her slow words were filled with apology.
“That… the things that guy told you earlier. Min was the one who said all that. I just added a little bit to it to tell them to stop talking behind your back.”
“Of course, I know.”
I replied as if I didn’t mind at all. Though my inside was already full of scars. But being hurt wasn’t a new thing; if I lived while ignoring it, it would heal on its own. As always. That didn’t mean I didn’t believe Ms. Hyeon. If she were lying, she wouldn’t have been cursing and fighting with Min.
“That Min, she’s fucking close with [stolen content]Kang Moon-soo. The things those two sit and gossip [visit our site]about [unauthorized copy]every day, she spilled them all to a guy she met for the first time today—”
“I believe you, Noona. I believe everything you say. You don’t have to explain further.”
I smiled brightly while looking at Ms. Hyeon in the rearview mirror. I shrugged.
“And it’s true anyway. Not just here, but the rumors have probably spread all over downtown by now. That I’m a gang boss’s a-hole.”
Compared to Chu Gi-oh, who ran his mouth in front of a hundred people, Min’s actions were child’s play. I could generously forgive and overlook it.
Whether he was just twisted or what, Kim Chang-dong had a huge fight with Su, who arrived late, and around 5 PM, he threw the car keys and went home.
“All you are are just sluts. Spend your whole lives doing deliveries until you die!”
Kim Chang-dong poured curses on the girls and disappeared as if fleeing. One cannot live the world exactly as they please, but for his age, he was too ignorant of that. Well, because he’s that kind of guy, he’s probably interviewing for places like this at twenty-six. If he were a constructive guy with potential, he would have done well even as a carman.
Ms. Hyeon and Su flipped the bird at the fleeing guy, mocking him for being a little shit. I strongly agreed with their following words in my head.
“He’ll spend his whole life begging for food. I hope you die alone in a strange place, you idiot.”
Min, sitting apart from them, also looked relieved. As if she’d rather drive herself than employ a guy like that as a driver, she even sneered while twirling the car keys.
In fact, after Kim Chang-dong left, Min drove herself. Thanks to that, my workload decreased significantly. It was easier and better for me to just drive Ms. Hyeon and Su. They weren’t unauthorized copyvery interested in me and were busy talking about the [Read on Read BL Novels]men they were seeing, bags, clothes, and yesterday’s drinking party. It would probably be the same even if I weren’t there.
Around 6 o’clock, I sat at the table in the hall where dinner was served. As I sat, Min put down her chopsticks. Even though half a bowl of rice remained, she stood up.
Min said a delivery for a billiard hall had come in and left with some coffee. Our eyes met briefly through the window, and she must have hated it so much that she spat on the ground. Then she drove aggressively and quickly left the coffee shop. The dust that rose white and then slowly settled looked just like Min. The anger in Min’s heart, caused by me, probably hadn’t even half subsided.
I tried to think about why she hated me so much, then stopped. It wasn’t as if we had many days left together; we were a connection soon to be severed. And so what if she hated me? If there’s someone who loves me crazily, it’s only natural to have someone who hates me to balance out life.
Anyway, for some reason, Kang Moon-soo hadn’t shown his face all day. I felt something was missing even while dealing with Kim Chang-dong and Min, and it was because that guy was gone.
It had never been like this, so I was a bit puzzled. My heart fluttered wondering if he had died in the meantime, but seeing that Kim Jeong-suk wasn’t sad, he was likely alive and well. He probably drank too much the night before or spent the whole night gambling and was still passed out sleeping. He’d probably wander into the shop with a hollow face just as it was time to close. And when Du-jik arrived, he’d leave the shop with a rotten expression.
Filthy bastard. He said he’d definitely devour me, yet he had the luxury to slack off.
Son of a bitch. Let him try his best. Thinking this, I went to Kim Jeong-suk, who was calling me from the counter.
Kim Jeong-suk handed me a coffee bundle and said,
“Delivery to the house. Yoo Gi-cheol and Min will be in the last room, so go and give it to Min.”
As mentioned before, Yoo Gi-cheol was Kim Jeong-suk’s cousin and the figurehead CEO of the house she operated.
