Warm spring passed, and early summer had arrived.

Though it was only the beginning of summer, the midday heat became as intense as midsummer, and people's clothing became lighter accordingly. Their daily walks, which they took almost every day except on rainy days, were now reserved for the cooler days.

Now entering the second month of pregnancy, Chaika's body began to show visible signs, with his lower abdomen bulging slightly. Whether it was because of the baby or because he was naturally sensitive to heat, Chaika tended to cling to the cool floor without energy whenever the midday heat persisted. Consequently, the servants spent their entire day taking turns fanning him.
