[Day 57]
Untitled
My mind isn’t completely gone yet.
Whether that’s fortunate or unfortunate, I’ve been pondering that question since the day before yesterday.
Krrr-
The reason I haven’t gone mad despite this sudden reality is probably because I’m keeping this log.
Originally, this game didn’t have a log function… I don’t know what happened.
Perhaps something got mixed into the ‘Mod’ menu? That’s the only thing I can deduce.
Mods… right, mods.
Support features I installed to make the game more convenient.

‘Added Mods?’
On the 50th day.
An option I hadn’t seen before appeared in the system menu I was staring blankly at.
As if slowly helping me adapt, a confirmation window that hadn’t existed before was unlocked.
At first, I was a bit bewildered. Even though it’s just a game, I didn’t expect these features to carry over like this.
But soon, feeling a deep curiosity after a long time, I began to explore.
“Keeing?”
Inside ‘Added Mods’ were a bunch of mods whose uses I could roughly guess just from their names.
I’m practically a cheat player. Even though
「La Vida Blue」
is a solo play game, this is enough to make me feel sorry for the NPCs.
I felt pathetic and doubtful towards my past self, whom I couldn’t remember what I used to do, but honestly, I was a little glad and grateful for this privilege.
“Kheuung…”
It wasn’t just because the mods were all survival-enhancing features. I didn’t really feel any sense of danger to my life anyway.
Rather, I found significance in the fact that something new had appeared.
I can now spend time thoroughly examining the mods!
I finally stood up from the crouched position I had been in for days. My tail, which had been drooping, wagged quickly.
What does Reader Mod do? Inven Plus must be a feature that increases the Inventory slots.
Far Sight must be the reason why my field of vision is so wide now, to the point where I could rival a Mongolian.
Infinite Stomach… damn it. No wonder I can endlessly consume ‘things I can eat’.
Ah. My heart is pounding. I made a pleasant sound, krrr, and laughed happily after a long time.
My tail wagged quickly, digging into the sand. I felt like my mind had cleared up for a moment.
More Form. I’m very curious about that feature that’s still loading.
Will I be able to paint my body in various colors?
Or, perhaps, my appearance as an Aberrant…

‘What kind of guy is this?’
Jin Mu-hae raised an eyebrow and increased the speed of the bike.
Even as he drove according to the instructions he was hearing, he couldn’t stop thinking about what he was doing.
“Take the hill there and go left, bbiing.”
“Do you even know the way? If you go around the hill, we’ll be going back the way we came.”
“Yeah. There are rocks behind the hill. I’m getting off there.”
Nevertheless, he didn’t change direction because of an unknown feeling. His heart kept floating and beating fast.
It felt like he was facing a destiny he didn’t know. He felt exactly this way when his father passed away.
Also, though it wasn’t really related, Joo-oh, who was holding onto his waist tightly from the back seat and fidgeting with his fingers, seemed to be in a good mood for some reason.
The guy, who didn’t express much emotion except when he was eating, was smiling so much that his dimples were deeply indented every time he glanced back.
He didn’t know if he was happy that someone was listening to him, or if he was just satisfied that he got his way…
It was fascinating. Considering his dazed appearance when he first found him, he seemed more human now.
“I see it.”
“See what.”
Crazy person.
“We’re here.”
Even after hearing Joo-oh’s words, it wasn’t until he drove for a few more minutes that a rocky hill faintly appeared in the distance.
Hoo-wook, a happy breath blew from behind. Jin Mu-hae rubbed his neck with an uncomfortable expression for no reason.
Did he really arrive at the place he was talking about? Or was he just going to stop anywhere?
If it was the latter, he could just blame himself for following him, since it was what he expected. But if it was the former, it was an accurate instruction, as if he knew the route by heart.
How did a guy who didn’t even know where he lived know these roads…
The probability of it being a coincidence was high, but he needed to question Joo-oh more.
This was a little more suspicious to just dismiss him as a sick person.
‘Come to think of it, the clothes he was wearing at first were from a dead miner.’
He ended up recalling various unneeded stories he had heard while working as a mercenary. A civilian found naked in an area where Crystal Blue is generated…
Squeak-
As he reduced the speed of the bike, dry dust obscured his vision.
At the same time, thud! Joo-oh jumped off the bike before it even stopped.
“You…!”
The figure that ran out like flying squatted in front of a huge rock in an instant.
Joo-oh raised his index finger to Mu-hae, who had hurriedly parked the bike and followed him.
“Shhh.”
His red eyes were fixed on the space in the crack of the rock.
“What are you doing?”
“Crouch down. If you press down hard, you can also hide.”
Nonsense. But having been together for a day, Jin Mu-hae understood the code-like words well.
It was an instruction to crawl into this dog hole. Here? He asked with his mouth open, and he nodded diligently.
Then, before he could stop him, he slipped into the gap.
“Hey!”
He clearly told him not to move as he pleased. He pretended to listen obediently, but in an instant, he was like this.
He disappeared in the blink of an eye without even the sound of crawling.
‘Should I just throw him away?’
The pity he had felt for him for a moment completely evaporated. Mu-hae sighed deeply and bent his knees.
“Come out.”
He called out to Joo-oh and half-entered his body into the crevice.
Then, a stone cave that was spacious and comfortable enough to be hard to believe it was between rocks appeared.
If he wanted to catch him, he had to crawl out of here. How annoyingly bothersome.
The thought of whether it was right to keep Joo-oh until he found his family naturally came to mind.
When he thought about it, the losses he had suffered in the past two days alone were not small. Besides, having him would unnecessarily add another mouth to his tight life.
And that mouth could easily eat the amount of two or three adults… Mu-hae shuddered at the thought of the amount of noodles Joo-oh had emptied.
‘Hmm?’
The feeling that had been filled with annoyance and skepticism changed abruptly at the end of the rock crevice.
On the edge of the rock that protruded enough to hit his head, there was excessively stiff and coarse fur attached.
‘……’
He had a bad feeling. Mu-hae reached out and grabbed the hair.
When he rubbed it with his fingertips and brought it to his nose, he felt a faint musty smell.
It was definitely the trace of a Beast. Moreover, it had a dark color, in other words, a wolf or something.
Grrr-
Just in time, an unfamiliar animal sound reached his ears from afar. Mu-hae’s mind snapped to attention and he fumbled for the equipment on his back.
Damn it. There’s probably a Thorn wolf ahead. And Joo-oh went out of this hole before him.
‘I told him to stay still.’
Mu-hae’s eyes, sensing danger, became serious. He quickly grabbed his weapon and glanced out of the cave, suppressing the sound.
As expected, the presence of a Beast was clearly felt beyond the large rock in the center.
And the one who arrived at the back of that rock first was crouching down and smiling brightly.
His happy emotions were conveyed so clearly that it was absurd.
“There’s a wolf there.”
Grrr-
‘I’m going crazy.’
The Thorn wolf was one of the mutated Beasts that appeared on Earth due to the influence of Crystal Blue.
These, commonly called Beasts, had a significantly lower risk level compared to Aberrants, but that was only a relative classification.
The only safe Beasts for civilians who rarely went outside the Dome were herbivores like rabbits and deer that ate only grass and lived quietly.
Even the herbivorous Beast ‘Black Ox’ was considered dangerous, so how would a wolf, which was originally a predator, be?
The Thorn wolf was large enough to swallow a person, and its senses were very sensitive, as expected of a Beast. If a guy like Joo-oh encountered it, it would almost certainly be death.
And he was making noise without thinking like that.
The Thorn wolf, whose eyes were already red with the presence of people, kicked the ground with its hind legs as soon as it heard Joo-oh’s voice.
Jin Mu-hae ran towards Joo-oh without even thinking.
Thwack!
Clang, click!
He roughly pushed away the smiling Joo-oh and rolled sideways a couple of times to get into position.
He immediately and skillfully pulled out his gun and released the safety. As he accurately aimed at the wolf that was targeting Joo-oh, the Beast’s gaze shifted to Mu-hae.
Thang! Zzzzzz-
The fiercely fired bullet pierced the Beast’s skin.
Kyakeng-*!
With a crackling sound and the smell of burning fur, the wolf, which had been electrocuted, stiffened as if convulsing.
Okay. He had gained the leeway to save that troublemaker.
Only then did Mu-hae urgently turn his head. He intended to check how far Joo-oh had run away and find his location.
‘Shit….’
But unexpectedly, Joo-oh showed no signs of running away.
Far from running away, he was actually getting up and approaching the wolf.
