[Day 8]
I’m definitely stranded.
Literally. This isn’t a dream or a hallucination.
For some reason, I
fell into 「La Vida Blue」,
and even became an Aberrant.
Yeah. There’s no way a dream this vivid and clear, a dream that won’t break no matter what I do, could exist.
More than anything, I’ve been starving madly since the fifth day. A deep hunger tormented me, reaching beyond my body and into my mind.
It was a sensation so intense that I couldn’t deny this was reality.
The problem is, I’m in the middle of a barren land where there’s nothing to eat, no matter how hard I look.
What if I starve to death like this? Maybe if I die, I can get out of the game?
I pondered for a moment, but the thought that I wouldn’t be able to flashed through my mind. It was an inexplicable conviction, as if I knew something before falling into the game.
If that’s the case, then I have to live here. I don’t want to die like this. What should I do? As I was agonizing over it…
…I smelled something that stimulated my appetite.
Not so much the smell of food, but just something edible. Just that much.
Suddenly, my senses sharpened like a beast going out to hunt. Following my instincts, I quietly approached the source of the smell.
But
Fucking hell!
All that was there was a disgustingly ugly Aberrant.
Does that make sense? The ‘food’ that my damn sense of smell detected was an
Aberrant!
I’d rather have seen camel dung; it would have been less scary. I was horrified and backed away.
Even in the midst of that, the fact that my mouth was watering was so chilling that I ran far, far away.
What on earth has become of me?
It’s as shocking as it is hungry, and as shocking as it is, I’m hungry.

[Day 10]
I’m hungry.
I’m crouching all day to conserve energy.
I just picked and ate grass, but it’s not filling.
It’s already like a town with no grass, how much do I have to swallow?
What the hell am I supposed to do?

[Day 12]
Still hungry.
I think I swallowed a handful of sand.
Still hungry, though.

[Day 18]
Hungry.
I think I’m going in and out of my mind.
I’m shoving anything into my mouth, but damn it
Delicious smell, smell,
Growl-

[Day 21]
Ti- tle. Title. Right. I can’t let a spider spin its web in my mouth.
It’s a good feature to be able to check what day it is every time.
Thanks to that, I knew it had been three weeks since I entered this crazy game.
Three weeks. Twenty-one days. 21 x 24 is 24, 48, ……504.
Over 500 hours is by no means a short period of time.
In the meantime, I’ve somewhat… accepted the situation.
Whether I like it or not, I exist here as an Aberrant.
And to be honest, I don’t want to die. No matter what.
I couldn’t overcome the hunger.
At some point, I came to my senses and was tearing at an Aberrant.
The moment I sank my teeth into the tough, rancid-smelling hide, saliva welled up in my mouth and my eyes rolled back.
That wild and rough scent of meat. The meat filling my mouth… yes, meat!
The meal, which was once an Aberrant, probably wasn’t a small amount.
But I swallowed it all. Without leaving anything behind. Cleaned it up to the last claw.
I can’t say it was the best taste, but it was edible anyway.
After finishing the meal, I felt something supporting me snap.
Only then did I admit it. I had really become an Aberrant in the game.
And to survive, I have to try anything.
From then on, I kept racking my brain, trying to properly understand the situation I was in…
Growl
Let’s see…
This place where I suddenly fell,
「La Vida Blue」
is both a god-tier game and a shit game.
It’s a god-tier game in that it has implemented even elements that are not essential to the story, and it’s an outright shit game in that the story and background are somehow sloppy.
Unfortunately or fortunately, I seemed to be terribly satisfied with this game before.
Even though I can’t remember anything from the past,
I knew almost all the information about 「La Vida Blue」.
「La Vida Blue」
is a horror combat drama set in a dystopian society after the apocalypse.
The game’s protagonist, Jin Mu-hae, discovers his deceased father’s belongings, marking the beginning of Chapter 1, the start of a long story with a volume of about 150 hours.
‘Boss Gil… did you know too? That my father was doing this research.’
Jin Mu-hae, who had not been able to get a proper job because of his relatives’ criminal records, which were no different from a system of guilt by association.
He realizes that this exclusion stemmed from his father’s research.
From then on, Jin Mu-hae delves into his father’s footsteps and becomes entangled with the underworld, witnessing the corruption and injustice of the human society in which he lives.
‘Could they have prevented the creation of Crystal Blue and Aberrants…?’
The contents of his father’s research that he discovered were a way to reclaim the world outside the lost Dome.
A world where Aberrants do not exist, where humans would once again be the only apex predators.
It’s like a dream for those who were born and live only in the Comfort zone.
However, his father’s plan, which had been sailing smoothly as if with sails, sank at the last moment due to the betrayal of his closest aide.
‘I’m sorry, but the ‘rulers’ of each city… don’t want the system to be overturned.’
Jin Mu-hae’s father, unable to let go of his regrets, left research data in preparation for when his son grew up.
In the final moment, Jin Mu-hae finally carries on his legacy and the final Chapter is completed.
How many times had I watched the magnificent video of blue particles scattering across the vast Earth?
Jin Mu-hae’s face, anticipating the future, was my favorite scene in this game.
So, since this is really the world of
「La Vida Blue」,
I should be waiting for that moment as it should be.
“Ggoo-uhng- keeing……”
Damn it. What should I do?
Come to think of it, I’m an Aberrant.
That Aberrant that will disappear with Crystal Blue at the end.
“Keeing……”
From the moment I remembered that fact, I had a rough idea of what I had to do.
If I want to survive, I have to find the game’s protagonist, Jin Mu-hae, and interfere with his actions…!
Ding-!

Main Quest
Tutorial (In Progress)
According to the system, I am currently in the tutorial.
The very first stage that gives you time to learn how to use it and adapt to the game.
I guess I’ll go to the game’s background, ‘Goryeo City,’ when the tutorial is over.
Until then, do I have to wait in this vast, wild, harsh land, tearing and swallowing Aberrants and Beasts?
Rustle
Growl……
Hmm…
I don’t know. I just hope the tutorial is cleared quickly in some way.
Even if there’s only an Aberrant nearby, my appetite soars like this by instinct.
My mouth is filling with saliva. I don’t know how long I can last with my sanity.

[Day 55]
How long can I stay sane?
Well.
* * *
“Hoo-ah……”
A satisfied sigh burst from his red lips.
Joo-oh half-closed his eyes, raised the corners of his mouth, and hummed a strange tune.
His stomach was full. His empty stomach was full and not empty or chilly.
Besides, that tender and soft meat. That savory and warm broth.
It tasted better than any meat he had ever eaten. It didn’t flap around alive and interfere with the meal, and it had been a while since he had used cutlery, so he felt new again.
He felt uplifted and simply happy at the luxury he hadn’t enjoyed for a long, long time.
“I want to eat more.”
Joo-oh muttered and wiggled his legs.
The bed mattress he was sitting on made a spring sound.
“Seriously……”
Mu-hae, who was coming out of the bathroom, shaking his wet hair, stopped abruptly when he heard the sound.
He pressed his ear without realizing it. He thought there was something wrong with his ears.
Otherwise, there’s no way he could have eaten six more plates of boiled pork and said that.
Beep. He pressed the Watch on his wrist to check, and his balance was almost empty.
“I’m screwed.”
A slight wrinkle formed on his smooth forehead.
Name, Joo-oh.
Age 22.
He doesn’t remember where he lived, and it’s probably not Goryeo City.
He forgot his family and full name, and he has no assets in his possession.
The information he managed to scrape together was so useless and pathetic. In terms of information value, it wouldn’t even be worth two bowls of noodles.
If he had known this would happen, he should have blackmailed him instead of buying him food. Recalling his short regret, Jin Mu-hae quietly frowned.
“Don’t even say you’re hungry for the time being. You must have swallowed two days’ worth.”
“I’m…… always hungry.”
What kind of line is that, like a growing child? Jin Mu-hae closed his eyes tightly, then opened them, and turned away from Joo-oh as if ignoring him.
“Jin Mu-hae.”
“Don’t call me.”
“Jin Mu-hae.”
“Did Teacher Jung teach you? My name.”
“No.”
In the end, Jin Mu-hae got caught up again and sent a cold look with his side face as if telling him not to lie.
But Joo-oh kept giggling and muttering his name.
It couldn’t be helped. Jin Mu-hae. Yeah. It was really Jin Mu-hae.
The protagonist of this damn game, Jin Mu-hae. Joo-oh’s chest kept swelling and his heart was pounding.
“Jin Mu-hae……”
He smiled so much that his eyes narrowed and he flopped down on the bed.
He had endured for a really long time to meet him. The wait was so long that it was like torture.
After longing for him so much, Joo-oh ridiculously realized that this guy was the protagonist only after his stomach was full.
It was because his mind had been clouded for the past few years and he had been starving for a while.
“Now, when I’m hungry, I reach out my hand first.”
“You keep talking nonsense.”
But somehow, his blurred past self and reason still seem to remain inside him, seeing that he came to find him.
It’s been a long time since he’s been living a life of just eating, sleeping, fighting, and eating again without even being conscious.
Joo-oh then easily recalled the information from 「La Vida Blue」. What he had to do. The changes in the system.
The story has finally begun. That fact was clearly etched in his mind.
“……What am I even talking to him about?”
As Mu-hae, who was complaining quietly, put on a T-shirt over his bare upper body, the scars and bruises here and there were immediately covered.
Joo-oh only peeked his head out and watched the scene, then wiggled his lips with a happy face.
Joo-oh is not the Joo-oh of the past anymore. Even though an absurdly strong instinct always suppresses reason.
For some reason, a bit of sense was still alive.
“Jin Mu-hae.”
Joo-oh recalled that Jin Mu-hae’s eyes, who was trying to throw him away, changed to resignation every time he gave a strange answer.
He has a feeling. It seems that he won’t kick him out right away.
“Jin Mu-hae.”
Joo-oh tapped the table clock with the flickering light and repeatedly said the same name.
Hoo. Mu-hae’s back, who was sighing and turning around, was very welcome and delightful.
WELCOME TO LA VIDA 🙂
