“Something bad seems to have happened.”
Sitting at an outdoor table at the open-air cafe, Joshua asked, offering an ambiguous smile to Dane, who was slumped in his chair across from him with a sulky expression. Dane twisted his arms behind the chair’s backrest, tilted his head back, craning his long neck towards the sky, and said,
“I need to kill Grayson Miller.”
So, something did happen. Joshua thought, repeating his earlier words to soothe Dane.
“I told you last time, he’s not worth it, Dane.”
“Ha!” Dane scoffed, lifting only his head to look at Joshua, his face contorted.
“Why does that crazy bastard keep talking about self-defense?”
“Self-defense?”
“Yeah.”
Dane spat out roughly in response to Joshua’s question.
“Every time something happens, he goes wild, claiming self-defense. I wonder if he’s doing it on purpose. Or is he just crazy?”
Joshua, who had been silently listening to Dane’s complaints, finally spoke.
“I haven’t heard about Grayson having that kind of habit… Maybe I should look into it.”
As he stroked his chin and muttered to himself, Dane immediately snorted.
“Forget it, he’s probably just crazy, what reason could there be?”
“Of course, you’re probably right. Thank you.”
Joshua, ever the master of social graces, readily agreed with him. Just then, a staff member brought over the menu book, and he greeted her naturally with a smile. The staff member returned the smile to the handsome man with a sunny face. After she turned and left, Dane, still in the same posture, mumbled,
“Having three kids and still flirting.”
“I’m just being friendly. There’s nothing wrong with being friendly, is there?”
Joshua said, placing the menu book down.
“It’s just that someone in front of me lacks social skills.”
Naturally offended by the smiling face, Dane could only let out a hollow laugh. Joshua tapped the table as if to make him hear. Under the unspoken pressure to hurry up and choose, Dane reluctantly straightened up and picked up the menu book placed on the table. After roughly choosing a menu marked as a best seller, they finished ordering and began their serious conversation.
“I’ve roughly made a plan. You just need to handle the transport; we’ll take care of the rest.”
At the sentence that subtly omitted the target, Dane drank his tomato juice and waited for the next words. Joshua, pretending to be nonchalant, lowered his voice slightly and continued.
“There’s no need to rush. We’ve already waited several years, so waiting a few more days is nothing. But we have to succeed in one go. If we fail, there won’t be another chance.”
“So?”
Dane asked, sounding annoyed at the obvious reminder.
“When are you planning to do it, roughly?”
“The preparations are almost complete.”
Joshua said.
“First, let me tell you about the plan we have in mind…”
While the explanation continued, Dane listened without a word. As Joshua had said at the beginning, the plan wasn’t complicated at all. The problem was that Dane was assigned the most dangerous and difficult task.
Kidnapping Grayson Miller.
“As you know by now, Grayson is especially superior in Trait among Dominant Alphas. That means he’s not easy to deal with. Because he’s a Dominant Alpha, ordinary drugs won’t work, and if we try to kidnap him with multiple people, we’d need at least ten, and mobilizing that many people would obviously be noticeable.”
“So, you want me to do it alone?”
“You were in the special forces, weren’t you?”
Joshua said as if it were someone else’s problem, even though he was the same. The reason he wasn’t directly involved was probably because the risk of getting caught was too high. Grayson Miller would definitely notice why Joshua was approaching him. At the very least, he would feel a threat to his safety. Dane thought. Of course, he’d be suspicious even if I approached him.
“You want me to handle everything from luring him out to finishing the job?”
“We can give you some help.”
Just as he said that, the waitress brought the food. Joshua watched as Dane ruthlessly pressed down on the large signature sandwich to make it thin enough to fit in his mouth in one bite and said,
“I’ve prepared a car and a helicopter. And of course, a helicopter pilot.”
“A helicopter?”
Dane paused, just as he was about to bring the sandwich to his mouth. Joshua nodded and smiled.
“I’ve prepared a mansion for Grayson in the middle of the mountains.”
They must have waited a long time, and the preparations must have taken just as long. Dane wondered what they were planning to do to Grayson there, but it definitely wasn’t out of concern or worry. Dane pointed the sandwich he was holding at Joshua and warned,
“Don’t forget, I’m planning to have a very deep conversation with that bastard.”
Joshua smiled gently as he looked at his friend.
“Of course, Dane. I haven’t forgotten.”
He added with a face as bright as the California sunshine, as usual.
“We all feel the same way.”
Dane, having confirmed Joshua’s answer, began to eat his sandwich. After a pause, Joshua broached the subject.
“There’s something important you need to know before you start the job.”
As Dane continued to chew on his sandwich and look at him, Joshua continued.
“You can’t let the Miller brothers get their hands on anything like a stick. Any kind of stick will turn into a weapon in their hands.”
Dane reacted a beat late.
“What?”
To Dane, who frowned and asked only one word, Joshua explained seriously.
“Ashley Miller was an ice hockey player in high school. I even heard he was the captain and MVP, so he must be good at anything that involves using a stick.”
“So.”
Dane asked, still frowning.
“He taught his kids? How to beat people up?”
“I don’t know about that far.”
Joshua backed off a step but soon added his own speculation.
“Don’t you think it might have something to do with the self-defense thing you mentioned earlier?”
It was a plausible guess. Grayson really did go crazy after saying those words. When Dane fell silent, Joshua urged again.
“It can’t hurt to be careful. Anyway, it’s good to keep it in mind.”
Dane still ate his sandwich without a word. And they mixed in some trivial small talk and parted ways after talking a little more. With Dane deciding on the D-Day.
And that day came sooner than expected.

“Going to Ezra’s party? Grayson Miller?”
When Dane heard the story from DeAndre while they were standing side by side in the locker room changing clothes, he instinctively realized that an opportunity had come. DeAndre put his discarded shirt in the cabinet and said nonchalantly.
“Yeah, Ezra’s a funny guy too. I can’t believe he firmly believes that Miller is a good guy? Even after what happened between you two.”
DeAndre shook his head, but Dane was somewhat convinced. Ezra, who was kind by nature, easily trusted people, and his beliefs were rarely shaken. This time was no different. He had an absurd crush on Grayson, so it would take considerable effort to get rid of it.
“That’s all a misunderstanding.”
As if he had heard DeAndre’s words, Ezra suddenly intervened and scolded him. When the two of them closed their mouths at the same time, Ezra continued as if he had been waiting.
“Miller is not such a bad guy. Don’t be prejudiced, not all Alphas are weird.”
DeAndre looked back at Dane as if he were dumbfounded, then sneered at Ezra.
“You seem to know a lot? About Miller?”
“I know more than you guys.”
Ezra declared confidently.
“You guys, don’t judge others so easily. It will come back to you.”
“Yeah, yeah. I know.”
Dane brushed off his words and asked.
“So, Miller is going to your daughter’s birthday party too? You told him the time and place?”
“Of course, I told him not to spend more than 50 dollars on a gift. He was very touched that he was invited to a friend’s child’s birthday for the first time.”
“Friend?”
“Friend? You and Miller?”
Following Dane, DeAndre raised his voice in shock. Ezra nodded with a pleased face.
“So, be nice to Miller too. Then kindness will come back to you.”
DeAndre shook his head as if he were dumbfounded, but Dane was thinking something else.
“I’m looking forward to it.”
Ezra said excitedly at Dane’s mutter.
“Me too. My whole family is already so busy preparing for the party. I went to the supermarket yesterday…”
He kept talking, but Dane was thinking about the conversation he had with Joshua. Along with a small sense of guilt, wondering if Ezra would be disappointed if Miller didn’t show up at his daughter’s party.

Why are we trying to kidnap Grayson?
Before executing the plan, Dane asked, and Joshua, looking a bit embarrassed, sighed and replied.
“Chase suffered a lot because of that bastard.”
“How so?”
At Dane’s question, Joshua paused before answering. After hearing about Chase’s history of suffering at the hands of his older brother Grayson since childhood, Dane was speechless. Moreover, the last incident was shocking.
“He even lied like that?”
To Dane’s question, Joshua said, “Yeah,” and continued.
“Because of that, Chase has trauma and still hates dogs. He has every reason to resent Grayson.”
Dane, who had been silent, asked again.
“So, kidnapping Grayson and beating him up will make him feel better?”
“I’m not just going to beat him up.”
Joshua continued.
“First, I’m going to let Chase say everything about why he was so angry and hurt. Of course, Grayson’s mouth will have to be shut. He’ll definitely turn Chase inside out again.”
“He’s asking for it.” Dane agreed. Joshua continued.
“If that’s not enough, I might hit him a few times, but I hope it doesn’t come to that. I just want to help Chase recover from the wounds of the past.”
Then he added.
“If you want to hit him, I won’t stop you.”
At the joking tone, Dane didn’t say anything and hung up.
He now knew that this was necessary for them. Verbal violence sometimes leaves deeper scars on the soul than physical violence. As a cure for that, it wasn’t bad for Chase, and Grayson was getting his just desserts, so it was karma.
And from Dane’s point of view…
“You’re an Omega?”
Dane frowned at the sudden thought. Anyway, if he could just get Grayson Miller out of his sight, he wouldn’t ask for anything more.
If this works, it’ll be as effective as hitting him.
Thinking that far, he came back to reality. The bright sunshine illuminated everything. This weather wasn’t good for carrying out a plan. But hoping for bad weather in California was as futile as expecting a cat not to knock over a glass on the table, so Dane gave up early.
The preparation was perfect. The terrain, which was all sand, wasn’t as advantageous. Besides, he had chosen this place himself. The method was simple. He just had to give him different directions.
The day before, Dane had secretly changed the birthday invitation card Ezra had made. The outside had a child’s drawing, and when you opened the card, there was a crooked invitation written by a child. Behind the simple phrase, ‘You are invited to a birthday party,’ was the address Ezra had printed.
Dane received this invitation much earlier than the others. The method was simple.
“Do you want me to help you make the invitations?”
“Really? Can you?”
Ezra gladly accepted Dane’s offer. He casually responded to Ezra, who was always complaining happily that he didn’t have enough time because he was playing with the kids at home. There, Dane made an invitation with a different address printed on it. And he put it in Grayson’s locker. With such a simple method, he could easily execute the plan.
No one would think that only the address on their invitation was different.
He deliberately suggested to Ezra that they hand out the cards the day before the birthday, so he could eliminate any possibility. Everyone who received the card right before leaving work was busy congratulating each other on the design of the card, so they didn’t have time to talk about anything else. And now, Dane was hiding in a remote forest path, waiting for Grayson Miller.
The place he had found in advance was perfect for him to carry out his plan. The unpaved road with exposed dirt was barely big enough for one car to pass. There was nothing at the end of this road.
He had been hiding and observing for two days, but not a single car had passed this road. The choice was excellent. Now, Dane just had to capture Grayson.
The overgrown weeds and bushes on both sides were perfect for hiding. He prepared the spike trap while waiting for Grayson’s car. The situation would be over in just 1 or 2 seconds. Grayson would never be able to avoid it.
And.
Beep beep, the transmitter he had attached to Grayson’s car in advance sent a signal. He had attached it in case he might come in another car, but fortunately, there were no variables. Even if he had taken another car, he was the only one who would come to this road, so the result wouldn’t have changed.
Dane hid in the tall grass and waited for the car to approach. In the distance, a fancy European car was speeding down the road. Not dreaming of the situation he would soon be in.
Three. Two. One.
At that moment, Dane threw the spike trap on the ground.
Desire Me if you can
I kiss your cheeks I kiss your neck oh I kiss your big tits…
“Tits tits, tits tits.”
Singing along to the continuous backing chorus, Grayson drove down the dirt road. There was still time until the party was supposed to start. Maybe he would arrive earlier than anyone else. Grayson drove the car with a leisurely attitude, even checking the car’s clock.
There was a gift for the child in the back seat. In fact, Ezra had insisted that he not buy anything over $50, but unfortunately, Grayson didn’t know what items were under $50. Nor did he know where to buy them.
Because of that, he went to a familiar Shop and bought a diamond necklace for the child. He even made a fake receipt that said $49 and put it in, thinking that would be enough.
Going to work, being invited to a colleague’s child’s birthday party, buying a birthday present for that child, all of these things were new to him. Because of that, Grayson didn’t dislike this series of events.
And if this was just one of the gates he had to pass through to achieve his goal, he even enjoyed it. Ezra had invited everyone from the fire station. Including Dane Striker.
“Take this opportunity to clear up any misunderstandings with Dane and get along.”
Ezra patted Grayson’s arm and encouraged him. Oh, of course. Grayson muttered with a smile.
“I want to so badly, Ezra.”
Suddenly, he remembered the Pheromone scent that Dane Striker had emitted. When the desire to smell that scent again, which had almost disappeared from his memory, arose.
The moment he suddenly saw a black shadow quickly appear in front of the car, the tires burst with a tremendous noise.
Desire Me if you can
Bang, bang, bang!
The car, which had been speeding, spun around and left the road due to the sudden burst tires. He saw the car rolling down the slope with a rough noise. This was also expected. Dane immediately revealed himself from where he was hiding. He stood there for a moment and looked down at the collapsed car, but there was no response. If Grayson didn’t lose consciousness and walked out of here, he was going to execute the next operation. But that didn’t happen. After waiting for another 5 minutes, Dane went down the slope.
Desire Me if you can
The loud helicopter noise hit his ears.
He never thought he would hear this sound again.
Dane sighed and sat down with his arms crossed. The helicopter that Joshua had prepared was ridiculously military. When he arrived at the place where the helicopter was waiting and saw the huge thing, Dane remembered.
How could an ordinary person…?
But he soon changed his mind. Not an ordinary person, but Miller. A man who had never been out of the top of the list of wealthy people in the United States, and now with the greatest power of the president in front of him. …his son.
Of course, there was nothing he couldn’t have. Dane thought so and got on the helicopter. There were only the pilot, Dane, and Grayson in the helicopter. The men who had helped with the transportation did not join.
“Our commission ends here.”
