“Hey…”
Grayson, who had been looking around for Dane as soon as he got out of the car, shouted at his retreating back, already far away. He was about to grab him and ask what that expression from earlier meant. That’s when Ezra spotted Grayson.
“What’s wrong with him?”
Following his gaze, he was horrified. In an instant, all sorts of thoughts flooded his mind like a panorama.
Miller was clearly trying to do something to Dane. He had been keeping them apart so well, what was going on? Could it be that he found out Dane was the one who knocked him out in the fire that day? No way! There was no sign of that at all! Then why is he doing that? This is not the time to be standing around, I need to stop him first!
Ezra, who had come up with so many thoughts in just a few seconds, rushed forward and shouted.
“Miller, Miller! Wait a minute!”
Ezra, who suddenly appeared, blocked Grayson’s path. Grayson, who had stopped in his tracks at the unexpected situation, was met with a forced smile from Ezra.
“Hey, can you help me with something? I have something urgent to do right now.”
“Why me?”
Grayson pointed around, annoyed.
“There are plenty of guys to spare, ask someone else.”
“No, I can’t! It has to be you!”
Ezra desperately grabbed Grayson, who was about to leave. Feeling like a cicada stuck to an old tree, he started rambling.
“You’re the biggest among us. Do you know how much we suffered today because of you? No, we did save the child thanks to you, but anyway, I think you’re responsible too, right? Huh? You won’t do it? You’re a bad guy. You can’t live like that! People should help and rely on each other in this world, but what are you even…”
Grayson looked down at the fully grown man clinging to his arm and whining with an absurd expression. As if to say, what the hell is this?
“Let go first, I’ll help you later, so let go.”
“Noooooo!”
“You…”
Grayson almost swore for a moment, but it was already meaningless. Dane had already disappeared from sight.
“…Ha.”
Grayson let out a dumbfounded sigh and stood there. Ezra, seeing that Dane had safely disappeared, also subtly released the strength in his body. Grayson, annoyed, swept back his hair and glared down at Ezra with a fierce face. Ezra, horrified, stepped back, and he growled through clenched teeth.
“So, what is this favor you wanted?”
A glint flickered in his purple eyes. Feeling a sense of crisis that his bones would be crushed to powder if he said the wrong thing, Ezra quickly stepped back. Nevertheless, he felt the lingering murderous intent and gave an awkward smile with a cold sweat.
“Uh, well, what was it…”
He looked around, but there was nothing he could do. Confirming that his useless colleagues were just standing there blankly, he had no choice but to turn back to Grayson. To Grayson, who was still glaring at him with a cold face, Ezra laughed and said.
“I, I forgot. Wahahahaha!”
“You…”
The moment Grayson clenched his fist, Ezra disappeared in a sprint faster than ever before. Grayson, left alone, shook his head in disbelief before kicking the fire truck tire with a curse.
Desire Me if you can
“Seriously, take it easy.”
The paramedic who handed Dane the cream to apply to his bruised chest lightly scolded him. The injuries he sustained in the fight with Santiano’s father had revealed their presence from the car on the way back after finishing everything. Fortunately, it didn’t seem like any bones were broken, but he had a pretty bad bruise, so it looked like he would have a headache for at least a few days. He took the cream, which was said to relieve the pain and reduce the bruising to some extent, and came out to find that the guys who had gone on the Deployment with him had already disappeared.
They must have gone home, of course.
Dane also wanted to go home and rest right away, but his whole body was covered in dust, so he had to wash it off somehow. It would have a very bad effect on Darling, who would rub himself all over Dane as soon as he got home.
Dane roughly shoved the cream into his pocket and headed straight for the shower room.
Desire Me if you can
Grayson sat on the bench in the locker room, glaring annoyedly to one side. All the other guys had already finished showering and left. Except for Grayson and one other person.
Dane Striker.
Luckily, Grayson had found out that Dane had gone to the paramedic for treatment. And he hadn’t shown up until now. Grayson could wait as long as it took. He had plenty of time.
He was determined to find out what that expression was all about. Grayson waited, determined, for the door to open. But.
Grayson paused and turned his head at the faint sound of water. He held his breath and waited, and his ears perked up, sensing the sound.
Someone was in the shower room.
The pause was only a second or two. Soon he understood the situation. That damn Dane Striker had gone straight to the shower room. Naturally, Grayson headed to the shower room. As he walked quickly, almost running, with large strides, the questions he had been thinking about kept springing up endlessly in his mind. Ten steps, five steps, one step.
Finally, he threw open the door to the shower room, and the sound of rushing water immediately hit his ears. The only stall with hot steam rising in the shower room, which was empty in every other stall, was the one farthest from the entrance.
Grayson crossed his arms and glared at the stall. Dane Striker was washing himself behind the single swing door, which was only long enough to cover from his chest to his thighs. Grayson waited patiently. Until he washed his damn body all over and came out.
It was maddening, but Dane took a long time to wash. He wondered if Dane was doing it on purpose, knowing that Grayson was waiting.
He rubbed the shampoo provided in his hands until it lathered and scrubbed his hair for a long time, and when he was done washing his hair, he started scrubbing his whole body. Grayson was annoyed and checked the watch on his wrist several times. He wanted to throw open that ridiculous swing door right away and grab him by the collar, but unfortunately, Dane was naked.
Since there was no collar to grab, should he grab his neck instead? As he seriously pondered this, as if Dane had read his mind, he turned off the water.
Only then did Grayson straighten up from leaning against the door and watch him come out. Dane grabbed the top of the swing door, befitting his tall height, and opened the door. First, his long legs appeared, then his firm thighs, and then his whole body was revealed. Grayson was watching Dane Striker, who had turned around with his naked body fully exposed, without any intention of covering himself, as if he thought he was alone.
“You, what was that earlier…”
The moment he had been waiting for had finally come. Grayson opened his mouth to say the words he had been gathering in his head. And then he stopped.
