“Ah… I can’t watch this.”
A classmate sitting behind Jeong-min muttered and slid over to sit next to him. It was only natural, as Young-min and the club president, Sunbae Ho-jun, were practically glued together, engaged in intense skinship.
If even one of them were sane, they wouldn’t be doing this on a bus to an MT. Whether they were just like-minded or both so mindless that they mistook this MT for that kind of MT, it was frustrating to watch.
Several of Ho-jun’s classmates had warned them, but they had responded with sheer audacity, leaving everyone to give up. Jeong-min felt inexplicably sorry and didn’t know what to do. He was truly relieved that Shin-woo was on a different bus.
Jeong-min apologized to his classmate, stood up, and headed toward the culprits. It went without saying that he received looks of respect and gratitude from the others along the way. It was as if they were treating him like a war hero.
As soon as he stood before them, Jeong-min made a knocking gesture toward the two. Young-min, who had been peppering Ho-jun’s neck with kisses, glared at Jeong-min with an annoyed expression.
Jeong-min smiled and mouthed, “Cut it out,” but Young-min snorted and did it even more provocatively.
“Darling. Why are you so sweet today? Hmm?”
Ho-jun spoke, playing along with Young-min’s behavior. Jeong-min felt like he was going to throw up. He felt motion sickness coming on, even though he never usually got it.
“Why do you think? Hmm? It’s because I’m with you, Sunbae~”
“Aww~ you pretty thing. Just you wait until tonight. Got it?”
What is this, some line from the eighties? If he weren’t a Sunbae, Jeong-min wanted to smack him on the head and tell him to wake up, but he couldn’t even do that.
Fine, I’ll make sure you work the fields until you drop tonight. Jeong-min gritted his teeth. Then, he suddenly felt a sweet pheromone, and the hair on his body stood on end. With a sense of dread, he looked at Young-min.
Surely… no matter how brainless Young-min was, he wouldn’t come to an MT during his heat cycle without taking suppressants. Thinking he was just being too sensitive, Jeong-min took a deep breath, clutching his ominous heart.
Normally, people of the same bloodline are completely unaffected by traits and cannot sense each other’s pheromones, but perhaps because Young-min and Jeong-min were twins, they could sense each other’s.
Of course, they felt no sexual attraction toward one another; rather, they felt a sense of repulsion.
Just then, the bus came to a sudden stop.
“What happened?”
Jeong-min quickly approached the driver and asked.
“Looks like there’s a problem with the bus in front.”
As the driver said, the bus ahead had stopped on the shoulder.
The driver of the front bus was looking at a tire with a few students, looking troubled.
It seems like a serious problem. Jeong-min stepped off the bus.
“Driver, what happened?”
“A tire blew out. I don’t think we can drive like this.”
They were already halfway to their destination, and since it was a national road and not a highway, even if they called for help, they would have to wait over an hour.
Unable to just wait, Jeong-min pondered for a moment and went back inside to ask the president, but seeing the president and Young-min still in their unsightly state, he gave up and stepped back outside.
“Jeong-min.”
Instead, Shin-woo approached him. And behind him was Kim Ju-hwan.
“The driver says it’ll take a few hours, so you guys go on ahead.”
“No. Hyung, why don’t you just take our bus? We have plenty of seats. I think we can just tell the driver to come after he changes the tire.”
At Jeong-min’s suggestion, the driver readily agreed. It seemed like the best solution for everyone, as it would be uncomfortable and anxiety-inducing for students to just wait around.
“The younger ones will stand, and I’ll make sure the Sunbaes get to sit.”
“Hey, hey, why do you put it like that?”
“Jeong-min~ I feel so mistreated!”
The Sunbaes getting off the broken bus spoke with pouting faces at Jeong-min’s words. After moving the frozen luggage that needed to be thawed immediately upon arrival, Jeong-min boarded the bus, only to find the atmosphere somewhat subdued.
What now?
When Jeong-min peeked in, the newly arrived group was staring blankly, seemingly speechless at the public display of affection between Young-min and the president.
Among them was Shin-woo.
This is driving me crazy.
It couldn’t be worse. Young-min wouldn’t care about Shin-woo’s gaze, and he couldn’t exactly kick Shin-woo far away. It was literally the worst.
Glancing at Shin-woo, he saw that Shin-woo’s face was indeed stiff. His complexion seemed to be growing paler. Furthermore, noticing Shin-woo gripping the leather armrest tightly, Jeong-min sensed something was wrong and approached him.
“Sunbaes! Please take the empty seats! Hubaes, please stand up for the Sunbaes.”
He quickly organized the seats, pushing the Sunbaes into the spots where the Hubaes were hurriedly standing up. Even in the midst of that chaos, Shin-woo didn’t budge, so Jeong-min, still concerned, tapped him on the side.
“Hyung, what’s wrong? Are you motion sick?”
In truth, he knew why Shin-woo was acting this way. But just in case… he asked to see if he was sick.
“…No.”
He lowered his head deeply. Ah, it really is because of Young-min. Hyung still hasn’t gotten over it.
He had known. He had known, but he had tried to ignore it, and now that it felt confirmed, his heart felt heavy. Without time to sort out his own feelings, Jeong-min quickly tended to Shin-woo’s emotions.
“Hyung, hurry and sit here.”
Jeong-min tried to seat Shin-woo in the very front seat where he had been sitting. Normally, given his personality, he would have firmly declined, but he followed Jeong-min’s lead and sat down as if he were out of it.
“…Jeong-min.”
Suddenly lifting his head, Shin-woo called him.
“Huh? What is it?”
“That… Young… ah, no. I must have been mistaken.”
Shin-woo closed his eyes and leaned back against the seat.
“Get some sleep. I’ll wake you up when we arrive.”
Jeong-min asked for understanding from the classmate next to him and seated another Sunbae there. Even so, Jeong-min couldn’t leave the spot and continued to look at the sleeping Shin-woo with a pained expression.
After driving for another two hours, they arrived at the MT site. Perhaps because they arrived later than expected, the village elders all came out to welcome them. Hearing the elders say they were worried that something else had happened to the car made the hardships of the journey vanish. However, without a moment to rest, they had to quickly unpack and help the elders. Since the sun was about to set, they had to move quickly.
“Huh?”
While moving luggage and running back and forth, he spotted Shin-woo and Young-min behind a tree in the distance. Shin-woo was holding Young-min’s wrist and saying something, and Young-min’s expression was also poor.
Watching this, Jeong-min decided he couldn’t just stand by, quickly set down the luggage he was carrying, and approached them. Just then, Young-min shook off Shin-woo’s hand and stormed past Jeong-min, huffing. Why on earth is he so angry?
Shin-woo’s expression was grim.
“Shin-woo hyung, what’s wrong? What happened with Young-min?”
“…Jeong-min. Keep an eye on Young-min. You have to stay by his side. You.”
“Huh? Why me? Sunbae Ho-jun is here.”
“That’s exactly the problem.”
“Why?”
“That brat is in heat.”
“What?”
“I thought he forgot his suppressants, so I got some from another Omega Hubae and gave them to him, but he said he came here intentionally without taking them.”
Shin-woo spoke while lightly kicking a white pill rolling at his feet.
Crazy… Shin Yeong-min, you’ve finally lost it! The pheromones I felt on the bus weren’t a mistake!
“You keep watch. If something goes wrong… something might happen.”
Shin-woo handed the remaining pills to Jeong-min. He didn’t know why Shin-woo looked so distressed when Young-min was the one who caused the mess. That guy really doesn’t help until the end.
Jeong-min told the nearly tearful Shin-woo that he understood and quickly followed after Young-min. Sure enough, Young-min was rubbing himself against Sunbae Ho-jun, clinging to him. Judging by his actions, it seemed Ho-jun had also noticed that Young-min was in heat.
The eighties-style comment about “seeing what happens tonight” wasn’t just empty talk. With an ominous feeling that an accident was truly about to happen, Jeong-min approached Young-min.
“Shin Yeong-min.”
“What?”
“Take this.”
“What?”
Young-min let out a hollow laugh upon seeing the pill Jeong-min held out and whipped his head away.
“I already took it.”
He’s lying.
“Then take one more. This is a weak one, so it’s fine to take another.”
“Ugh, why do you keep doing this? You’re so annoying!”
“Take it while I’m telling you to, before I call Mother.”
“This is so frustrating, seriously!”
After taking the pill from Jeong-min and swallowing it, Young-min stuck out his tongue and pulled the Sunbae’s arm close.
He had no idea what the brat was thinking. No, he had long since stopped being able to follow that guy’s train of thought, so he just hoped it wouldn’t affect him.
“Happy now? Now stop bothering us.”
“I don’t want to bother you either. Sunbae Ho-jun.”
“Huh? Why, Jeong-min?”
Sunbae Ho-jun, perhaps not sensing the gravity of the situation, looked at Young-min with an annoyingly cheerful smile.
If I hadn’t given Shin Yeong-min that pill, you would’ve almost become a father.
“Sunbae, you have to work in the fields now. Leave Young-min and come to the fields. Got it?”
He wanted to say that he should do his duty as the president, but he held back, fearing it would turn into a fight and ruin the mood.
He could only hope that tonight would pass peacefully. Jeong-min sent a message to the worried Shin-woo saying he’d administered the drug and let out a deep sigh. He just wanted to go and work until he was exhausted.
