Jeong-min closed the book and slumped over his desk.
He is an Omega. However, if by some chance… there are signs he will become an Alpha, he will want to die. He thought it wouldn’t be bad to know at least one piece of information like this to prepare for that moment.
Why did Kim Ju-hwan give him this information? He knew that although he said he hoped Jeong-min would be an Omega, it wasn’t sincere and he was just doing it for fun.

Feeling stifled, Jeong-min stood up to open the window. While standing on the terrace to catch the night breeze, he heard a disturbing sound coming from below the house wall.
“Darling… I love you.”
“Me too.”
Two beasts sharing a deep kiss in the middle of the night, right there on the street… If that had been all, Jeong-min wouldn’t have been shocked. However, the fact that one of those beasts was his twin brother made the shock inevitable.
He felt the strength drain from his entire body. Jeong-min gasped for air as he closed the terrace door.
After awakening as an Omega, Yeong-min had been receiving a lot of love and was dating various Alphas.
He hadn’t been particularly studious to begin with, but it had worsened recently. Whenever a worried Jeong-min asked him about it, Yeong-min always replied the same way.
‘I’m going to meet a great Alpha and get married as soon as I graduate high school. So, I don’t need to study, right?’

The number of Alphas Yeong-min had dated recently exceeded five, at least by Jeong-min’s count. He wondered where he found so many precious Alphas. Because of this, Shin-woo was wasting away, and he had become noticeably quieter.
Thinking of that suddenly made him feel a surge of heat.
Jeong-min sprang up, went outside, and pried the two beasts apart who were still kissing.
“Hey! Shin Yeong-min! Are you out of your mind?”
“Yikes!! What—what’s going on?”
The Alpha beast shouted. Fearing that the neighbors might hear and be surprised, Jeong-min quickly grabbed the Alpha by the collar.
“Get lost, you bastard.”
“Hey, Shin Jeong-min! What’s wrong with you?!”
“You shut up! Mom and Dad are home!”
At Jeong-min’s words, Yeong-min clamped his mouth shut. It was a relief that he was still afraid of their parents. As Yeong-min stayed quiet, the Alpha grew restless and soon vanished, taking the car he had parked nearby.
Jeong-min dragged Yeong-min back into the house and practically shoved him into his room.
“Are you insane?”
“About what?”
Yeong-min flopped onto the bed and let out a deep sigh.
“Why’d you interfere~ He was a great Alpha for once! Are you going to take responsibility if my love life is ruined?”
“Why should I? You should take responsibility for everything you do. Don’t push it onto others. No, that’s not what we’re talking about right now—watch your behavior.”
“It’s not like we were having sex under the wall or something.”
“Crazy…”
Jeong-min was so appalled he was speechless. Yeong-min, who had been listening quietly, let out a humming laugh.
“Why? Are you embarrassed because I said sex? My hyung is still a baby~”
“Stop talking nonsense. I’m just appalled. How old are you? You’re not even an adult yet; what are you going to do if rumors get out? And what if you accidentally get pregnant?”
“Then I’ll just get married and have the baby~ What’s the problem?”
“Stop saying such irresponsible things!”
“I’m serious. I’m going to marry an Alpha superior to anyone else and give birth to an Alpha with superior genes. That’s my dream. And isn’t that the most perfect success story for an Omega living in this modern era? To do that, I have to pick and choose Alphas. Carefully.”
He wasn’t joking. Yeong-min’s eyes were truly serious. Jeong-min felt a sense of strangeness looking at his brother. He didn’t know how his lovely younger brother had changed like this. Or perhaps, had he always been this way?
“But I’ve tasted almost every Alpha in this neighborhood, and they’re all mediocre. Ah… I didn’t want to touch Shin-woo hyung and Ju-hwan…”
Jeong-min was about to tell him to stop, fearing that further conversation would change his perception of Omegas and his disappointment in his brother, but he froze upon hearing Yeong-min’s mutterings as he put on his pajamas.

The sight of his brother smiling cutely with his tongue sticking out made Jeong-min shudder; he looked like a demon. Above all, the fact that Yeong-min was showing interest in Shin-woo hyung, who he had previously seemed completely uninterested in, terrified Jeong-min.
Yeong-min and Jeong-min were so different in personality that it was hard to believe they were twins.

Jeong-min didn’t have a clear dream, but he thought he should live diligently and get a good job, whereas Yeong-min had said since childhood that he simply wanted to be an Omega. He knew that if he married and gave birth to those precious Alphas, his fortunes would change and he could live comfortably for the rest of his life.
In the end, the way each twin looked at the other was the same: ‘frustration.’ Why do you live your life like that? It was what they wanted to say to each other, but because they cherished each other so much and didn’t want to cause pain, neither ever spoke it. In that regard, they were exactly alike.
But now, that Yeong-min was starting to take an interest in Shin-woo. Even if it was for a trashy reason, if he took an interest in him as an ‘Alpha’? The worst-case scenario could happen. Above all, it could lead to the worst possible situation for Jeong-min himself…

Jeong-min and Yeong-min’s mother looked at the two boys with eyes full of worry at the breakfast table. The twins, who usually ate side-by-side, were eating far apart as if to prove their cold war. Yeong-min was the first to set his spoon down loudly and leave the table. Usually, the two would wait until the other had finished, but this time, there was no such thing.
The one who finished first left, and Jeong-min leisurely ate his last spoonful, quietly set down his spoon, wiped his mouth with a napkin, and stood up.
“Jeong-min… did you fight with Yeong-min?”
The parents asked Jeong-min about the situation rather than Yeong-min, who had become somewhat sensitive after becoming an Omega. Jeong-min shook his head.
“We fought a little, but it’s nothing major. Please don’t worry too much.”
