‘How on earth did he persuade them?’

I was curious… but I hesitated to ask again. A part of me feared what might come out of Ardian’s sly mouth. I decided I would visit my family later and ask them separately what exactly he had said.

“Ray. Pay attention to me.”

As I seemed to drift off into my thoughts again, Ardian clung to me, rubbing his cheek against mine and acting spoiled. I pushed his head away and stood up to close the half-open door.

“What is it? Should I be expecting something?”

“What on earth are you thinking about this early in the morning?”

There are times when I wonder if sex is the only thing in this guy’s head, and right now was exactly one of those moments. I gave Ardian a cold glare as he looked at me with sparkling eyes, like an innocent puppy.

“I said I’d stay for fifteen days.”

I pulled away from him without lingering. Ardian looked at me with a hint of regret, but he recovered quickly. I wondered if he was trying to make this feel like a date.

“Where are you taking me?”

“Valentasia Square. It’s not exactly a tourist attraction, but there should be plenty to see.”

I answered as we headed down to the first-floor lobby. The head butler, who caught my eye as we passed, gave a benevolent smile and saw us off, to which I gave a polite nod. Ardian, who had been following me closely, remained silent until we were about to leave the mansion, then spoke again.

“Have you been there, Ray?”

“I have… but I was very young.”

In my recovered memories, I had been physically frail until I regained my memories as Mephisto, so I spent most of my time indoors. The only time I had wandered freely was when I was even younger than that.

After that, I entered Merzel Academy immediately and had no reason to go down to Valentasia Square.

Therefore, the square might have changed significantly from the one I remembered. Ardian, who had been staring at my profile, smiled brightly and took my hand.

“Then this is the first time we’re going there now that you’re grown.”

“I suppose so.”

“I hope I’m the first for everything.”

“Everything?”
