What kind of question is this? Is he asking if I’m a masochist right now? Eui-jae contorted his face as much as possible and snapped as if saying, “What bullshit are you spouting?”
“Would I be?”
Sa-young didn’t back down and frowned.
“What’s different here from that container earlier?”
“Hey, how can you compare it to a place like that? It’s much cleaner. There are blankets and pillows too.”
“Clean the container and put blankets and pillows there. It’ll be the same.”
“He’s practically begging me to move to Incheon Port.”
Sa-young was genuinely dumbfounded. He’d taken him to the Hanover Soup Restaurant himself because he was worried he’d be tired, but a small room appeared where he wasn’t even sure if he could stretch his legs properly. And Cha Eui-jae was taking off his old sneakers and crawling into that small room as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
If he’d been his usual self, it wouldn’t have bothered him this much. But Sa-young had no intention of being cruel to someone who’d been through the wringer helping him. And the thought of Cha Eui-jae just taking it while getting beaten up, against his nature…
“…….”
“Hey…. You look weird.”
“What do you mean?”
I wonder if the transport vehicle has arrived by now. I should have handled it myself instead of handing it over to the Management Bureau.
Lee Sa-young eventually decided to completely revise his original plan. The original plan was to take Cha Eui-jae home and return immediately, but after seeing the state of Eui-jae’s ‘home,’ there was no way he could let him lie down in a place like that. Sa-young checked to see if he had gloves on, then grabbed Eui-jae’s arm.
“Come on out.”
Eui-jae’s eyes widened as if he hadn’t expected that reaction.
“Huh?”
Sa-young stubbornly pulled his arm.
“We have somewhere to go.”
A silent standoff ensued briefly. In fact, Cha Eui-jae wasn’t one to lose when it came to stubbornness. But looking at Sa-young’s face, his mouth tightly shut and glaring, he couldn’t help but think, ‘What am I gaining by holding out against a kid?’ Eui-jae shrugged and slipped on his sneakers, bending the backs.
“Alright, alright. What is it? Is there something else you need me to do?”
Sa-young silently tore open another emergency escape button.
A short while later, they arrived at the entrance of a house. It was as big as several dozen Hanover Soup Restaurants put together, with a more desolate and chilly feeling than just being large.
Eui-jae felt strange. Even though it was a place where people lived, he didn’t feel any warmth from the house at all.
“…Where is this?”
“My house.”
Lee Sa-young answered briefly and headed inside as if it were nothing unusual, then opened the refrigerator. Inside, pre-packaged convenience meals and bottled water were neatly arranged. Lee Sa-young took out a water bottle and drank it, pointing to a door. It seemed to be the bathroom.
“Take a shower. I’ll put clothes to change into in front of the door.”
This guy’s house had a very large bathroom too. Eui-jae was already feeling sticky all over, so he quickly finished showering and opened the door slightly to check the clothes. A set of new underwear and navy blue silk pajamas, still in their packaging, were neatly placed there.
‘Does he… sleep in pajamas?’
Eui-jae unconsciously imagined Sa-young in pajamas, then quickly erased the thought. Even though they weren’t that different in size, the clothes were a bit big. Eui-jae rolled up the sleeves and went to find Sa-young. Sa-young was sitting in a recliner chair in what appeared to be a bedroom. Sa-young glanced at Eui-jae and pointed to the bed.
“Sleep there.”
At the end of his finger was a king-size bed. It looked like there would be plenty of room for two people to lie down. But he didn’t want to lie next to Sa-young, nor did he want to leave the homeowner and lie on the bed alone, so he answered casually.
“I’m not that shameless, you know? Just give me a pillow. I’ll sleep on the floor.”
“Sleep on the bed.”
“No thanks. Give me a sleeping bag if you have one.”
A sound like air escaping was heard. It was Sa-young laughing. He twisted the corner of his lips.
“Who carries around a sleeping bag these days?”
“Back in my day, sleeping bags were essential Dungeon gear, you crazy brat.”
“We’re only four years apart, but you know you’re being a total old fart, Hyung. Anyone would think you’ve been a Hunter for ten years….”
It was a frighteningly accurate fact. But the moment he admitted it was true, he’d be screwed. Eui-jae answered shamelessly.
“Sleeping in a sleeping bag is like camping, how great is that? And you’ve been living the Hunter life too comfortably….”
“Yeah, yeah, I’ve been living the Hunter life comfortably, so I’ll live uncomfortably from today. Lie down.”
“Don’t make me out to be a shameless bastard who comes to someone else’s house and steals their bed, will you?”
“It’s worse to make a guest sleep on the floor, so lie down.”
“You’re a son of a bitch anyway, why do you care about that?”
“If you could just listen once, just once—”
“It’s an equal contractual relationship, you crazy brat. Am I your subordinate? It’s not a superior-inferior relationship, it’s an equal—”
As they argued, they seemed to get worked up, and their momentum gradually increased. The furniture in the room rattled and shook slightly. But they didn’t care and raised their voices. The voices of two men echoed loudly in the desolate house.
Crack!
A bad sound was heard from inside the room, and the two people who had been arguing loudly over trivial matters suddenly shut their mouths as if they had made a promise.
The middle of the large mattress and soft comforter… had been completely torn through.
Sa-young and Eui-jae, standing side by side in front of the broken bed, sighed at the same time. If only the bed frame had been broken, they could have somehow salvaged it and slept, but they had torn through the mattress so thoroughly that there was no way to salvage it. They couldn’t have this huge mattress delivered quickly, could they?
Eui-jae, staring at the mattress with a hole in it like a Black Hole in the sky, muttered.
“…I’ll pay you back.”
Sa-young sneered.
“What are you going to pay me back with when you don’t even have any money?”
“…I can sell Mana Stones.”
“Ah, damn it… Don’t even mention Mana Stones.”
Sa-young growled. The words that followed sounded somewhat like a complaint.
“Because of that, there was an article saying I’m on good terms with Jung-bin.”
“…….”
Eui-jae lowered his head solemnly. Was this how Hunters felt when they accidentally met and had a brief conversation, and then dating rumors broke out? Lee Sa-young and Jung-bin had only exchanged information and eaten Hangover Soup together. He resolved not to consume gossip about celebrities and Hunters.
Lee Sa-young, with his arms crossed next to the solemn Eui-jae, muttered.
“…Wait here.”
He took out a Gas mask from his Inventory, put it on, and disappeared suddenly. Eui-jae, left alone, tentatively lifted the mattress. And he made eye contact with the bed frame, which was completely split in half and sunken.
How many bowls of Hangover Soup would he have to sell to compensate for this? He didn’t know for sure, but since it was something that picky Lee Sa-young used, it wouldn’t be a reasonable price. Eui-jae sighed deeply.
3:40 AM, when most of the Guild members had left work and only a few on-duty people remained at the company. At that perfect time to finish the day and lie down to browse YouTube or communities, a post was uploaded. It was on the Wave Guild’s Blind bulletin board.
Title: [Anonymous]
240 took all the sleeping room blankets and pillows

―Just telling a story about a dream I had
―Not funny
―Good night
The Wave Guild members naturally ignored it. It was a joke that couldn’t even be considered a joke. There are levels to trolling….
But soon, another post was uploaded. This time, it was with a photo of the sleeping room.
Title: [Anonymous] I’m telling you, they really took everything??? (Verification O)
(Photo.JPEG)
It’s real
I saw it clearly

―Huh
―Where did all the pillows and blankets go???
―Didn’t the cleaners take them to wash them?
└No, they clean during the day when there are no people;; they don’t take them when there are people
―Did 240 really take them?
―Please tell us the story
―Hyung, please tell us the story quickly, a beautiful Hunter is waiting
―Wow, I’m wide awake
The Wave Guild’s shower room and sleeping room were a kind of welfare facility for Guild members. They provided a space where Hunters, whose senses had become extremely sensitive after conquering Dungeons, could rest comfortably.
Perhaps because of that purpose, the quality of the Wave Guild’s sleeping room was very high. Not only was each person assigned their own room, but they also had beds and bedding that helped with sleep, as well as Dungeon-made scents that were excellent for relieving tension. The sleeping room was one of the Wave Guild’s many prides.
But the precious bedding of that sleeping room had all been stolen. Only the beds remained. And Lee Sa-young had stolen them! It was an unbelievable story, but…. There was even a verification photo. What big-hearted Guild member would fabricate a photo and mention Lee Sa-young? There was only one conclusion.
This post is real.
It was a story that woke them up completely. They were cursed to wait desperately for the next post, having committed the sin of looking at Blind before going to bed. They helplessly refreshed Blind, waiting for a savior to tell them the story.
Just as those Wave Guild members were about to die of thirst, the poster returned. With more details.
Title: [Anonymous] E40 Jean Valjean Story (will delete in 10 minutes)
I was working overtime writing a report.
I finished work, but I didn’t feel like going home.
So I was just going to sleep in the sleeping room and go to work
But someone slammed the door of the sleeping room next to me!! It was almost 4 AM.
I wondered what kind of rude crazy brat it was, so I opened the door and checked.
It was 240.
From this point on, I didn’t think anything… It really felt like I was watching a movie.
240 was taking the blankets and pillows from the sleeping room…
He didn’t just take one. He swept all the rooms…
He looked like he was going to tear down the beds too, but he just took the blankets
I was in the innermost room, you know?
240 was getting closer and closer, and I suddenly came to my senses.
I was going crazy, I thought he was going to take mine too…
That’s how I made eye contact with him while hugging the blanket.
Fortunately, he didn’t take mine.
He kindly closed the door for me and left.
The end.

―Can I just do one fact check? What was 240 wearing?
└White short-sleeved shirt, black sweatpants, and a Gas mask. Striped indoor slippers on his feet
└This story is real
└How do you know?
└I rode the elevator with 240 in that outfit a little while ago. I thought I was going to faint.
Ah……
―There is consideration in 240… He doesn’t take the blankets of employees who worked overtime.
└He even closes the door for them so they can sleep comfortably.
└God40
―This anonymous person is also something else, they were more afraid of having their blanket stolen than 240 haha.
―But anyway, 240 bought everything with his own money, so he can’t say anything even if he takes it.
└LOL for real.
―So why did he steal the blankets and pillows???
How long had Eui-jae been waiting for the disappeared Lee Sa-young? He heard the sound of the front door unlocking. Eui-jae, who had been stretching because he couldn’t just sit still, peeked out.
What came through the door was… a white mass of cloth. At first, he thought it was a ghost, but when he looked closely, he saw long black legs extending below it. Those legs, despite not being able to see in front of them, strode confidently down the hallway and arrived in the spacious living room. And then, like a waterfall, he dumped all kinds of cloth masses onto the floor. They were all blankets and pillows.
What kind of new crazy is this? Eui-jae looked back and forth between the pile of blankets and Sa-young, not easily understanding the situation. It was a kind of demand for explanation, but Sa-young didn’t answer. Eui-jae eventually asked with a serious face.
“…Did you rob a blanket store?”
Sa-young took off his Gas mask and put it in his Inventory, turning to look at Eui-jae. His face was cold.
“Who do you think I am, a thief?”
Eui-jae looked at Lee Sa-young, who was still very edgy, and thought that the broken bed must have been quite a shock. Sa-young put his hands on his hips and pointed to the leather sofa with his chin.
“Lie down.”
“…Shouldn’t you, the homeowner, sleep on the sofa?”
“If you say one more word.”
“…….”
“I’ll understand that as you wanting to break the sofa too and sleep on the floor together.”
Eui-jae lay down obediently.
