2.1 – in the beginning, there was you
The weather was incredibly clear. It was to the point where driving without sunglasses was difficult. Since I had spent my time moving from a climate-controlled interior to a car with the air conditioning running, I couldn't properly feel the temperature, but looking at the color of the sky, summer was in full bloom.
On the way here in his car at dawn, I had thought it would be a mansion with few units, but his home was actually a detached house. As I looked up from the alley after passing through the garage's overhead door, the dark gray exterior of the building was mostly hidden by high walls. It was a structure that made it difficult to gauge the scale from the outside.
I turned my gaze away from the receding building to look at his profile.
