“Ugh, hngh…”

Seeing her mother constantly crying, Georgina sighed deeply.

“Stop crying, Mother. Crying won’t solve anything.”

“Hoo-hoo…”

As if her daughter’s cold words made her even more miserable, Lady Catherine began to weep loudly. Georgina could only watch.

“I told you not to trust Winston.”

“You’re one of us? What does that mean?”

“I’m your daughter, Mother.”

Georgina barely suppressed her bursting emotions and continued.

“I’m just as much an enemy to Winston. Would he have kindly revealed all his intentions to me?”

Maybe he would have, if Georgina had pressed him harder. But Mother wouldn’t listen to me anyway.

Thinking that the result would be the same anyway, Georgina dismissed her faint regret.

“It’s too late. The priority now is to think about what to do next.”

At her daughter’s cold words, Lady Catherine, who had been distorting her face, changed her attitude and began to beg.

“Georgina, what should we do? Tell Winston, we didn’t do anything wrong. We just did what Mother told us to do, we’re family.”

Watching her mother plead, Georgina could only sigh.

Georgina hurriedly left and returned to her room, pressing the button on her cell phone. She called the office, but the secretary only said that Winston hadn’t come to work today. “I’m busy with a guest right now, let’s talk later.”

The scent of black tea wafted gently through the drawing room. Mrs. Campbell silently swallowed the hot tea and put down her teacup. Across from her sat her son, whom she loved more than anyone in the world.

At her mother’s smiling face, Winston replied casually.

“It’s alright. You came all this way, I should see you anytime.”

At her son’s smooth words, Mrs. Campbell raised the corners of her mouth benevolently. Of course, it wasn’t sincere at all.

“Where’s Yu-jin?”

At the expression ‘Yu-jin’ instead of ‘it’ which she used to call him every time, Winston replied without any change in expression.

“He went to kindergarten with Angela. It’ll be over soon.”

“I see.”

Mrs. Campbell spoke without losing her smile.

“I called it Yu-jin, and you don’t seem surprised at all.”

“I am surprised.”

Winston replied, but his expression remained the same. Mrs. Campbell continued as if she didn’t care.

“Good, I won’t waste time. Why don’t you stop now?”

“What are you talking about?”

Winston asked innocently. Mrs. Campbell narrowed her eyes and said,

“The act of butchering your brothers. Isn’t that enough? Why don’t you stop now?”

Her gentle tone was like soothing a son who was throwing a pointless tantrum. Winston showed no reaction to her treating him like a ten-year-old child.

“Well…”

He opened his mouth slowly in a slow tone, leaned back on the sofa, and gave a faint smile.

“I haven’t even started yet.”

“Winston.”

Mrs. Campbell continued in a still calm tone, but with a subtly different tone than before.

“We all forgave you when you were blinded by it and committed foolish acts. Wouldn’t it be difficult a second time?”

Her tone was affectionate, but the content was nothing short of a threat. But Winston brushed it off casually.

“Wouldn’t it be difficult to be fooled twice after being fooled once?”

At her son’s reaction, mocking her tone, Mrs. Campbell closed her mouth. After a period of silence, it was unknown whether she was suppressing her anger, feeling embarrassed, or for some other reason, she opened her mouth.

“If you’re going to be like this, I can’t help it.”

Mrs. Campbell said in a cold tone, different from before.

“I gave you enough chances, but if you’re still obsessed with it and can’t make rational decisions, there’s only one way, isn’t there?”

The expression disappeared from Winston’s face. At the gaze that stared at her without a word, Mrs. Campbell smiled and added.

“If it disappears, you’ll come to your senses too.”

She watched with pleasure as her son’s face hardened.

“Daddy!”

“Angie!”

Yu-jin, who was happily hugging his daughter running out of the building, asked in a gentle voice.

“Did you have fun? Did you play well with your friends today?”

“Yeah… sort of.”

Yu-jin blinked in confusion at her tilting her head and giving an ambiguous answer. But the child soon grinned and replied, “Secret!”

“Really? Won’t you tell Daddy?”

When he made a seemingly disappointed expression, Angela put her hands on her hips and said confidently.

“You have to solve your own problems. Don’t worry, I’m Daddy’s daughter! I can do anything!”

Of course. Yu-jin thought that nothing was impossible for his daughter, but he couldn’t help but ask.

“If there’s anything Daddy can help you with, tell me anytime.”

“Okay, I got it. Don’t worry.”

After confirming his daughter’s reply, he looked around. A familiar car was parked not far away. Yu-jin, holding Angela’s hand, walked towards the familiar car and suddenly became puzzled when he saw the man standing with the car door open.

At his hesitant appearance, the man smiled and said.

“Yu-jin Mr. Campbell, right? Hello, nice to meet you. I’m a temporarily hired driver today. Mr. Anderson, who used to work here, is not feeling well, so I’m working only today. After hanging up and saying goodbye, the man smiled silently and waited for them to get in the car. After Angela and Yu-jin got in, he readily returned to the driver’s seat. With a click, the doors locked, and Yu-jin glanced at the driver’s seat without thinking, but soon dismissed his suspicions. Other drivers always did that, didn’t they? He had even confirmed with the Butler; it would be rude to keep suspecting him.

After fastening the child’s seatbelt, the driver checked Yu-jin in the rearview mirror as he took a deep breath and clasped his hands together as if in prayer, then skillfully started the car.
