NOT 107
Haon braced himself on the bed with trembling arms.
Even that didn’t last long before his arms gave out. He fell forward, but at least it was onto the bed, so it didn’t hurt. What a relief.
Even his breath trembled. Haon gently touched his own neck and looked to the side.
He was gone.
Cha Jeong-won, who should have been sleeping, was not there.
“He drank so much last night, and he’s already up?”
Haon wondered where he had gone. As he tried to get down from the bed, he stumbled again and fell flat on the floor.
He managed to brace himself with his hands before his knees hit, but that didn’t mean it didn’t hurt.
“Ah… my whole body aches.”
His entire body throbbed, and especially that unmentionable place ached unbearably.
Unable to even think about getting up, Haon waited for the pain to subside. He absentmindedly turned his head and then froze.
“Huh?”
He saw the box under the bed.
It was dark, so he couldn’t see well, but it definitely looked a little different from when he saw it yesterday…
Just as Haon was about to slide his hand under the bed, the door to the room swung open.
“I heard a thud, so I came to check…”
Haon instinctively looked down at himself.
Fortunately, he was clothed.
“My legs gave out and I fell.”
“You had a good time last night.”
“I thought you’d ask if I was okay, but you ask if I had a good time?”
Haon naturally reached out toward Cha Jeong-won, who was approaching him.
He managed to get up, clinging to Cha Jeong-won, but it was still difficult. Feeling inexplicably irritable, he pretended not to know and leaned his full weight against him.
“Of course it was good.”
Cha Jeong-won’s pheromones were good, and his embrace was good. The gentle hands caressing his body were also good.
But among all those good things, there was one that was the best.
“I’m so happy that we’re lovers who can stick together anytime.”
He spoke honestly and took a deep breath.
“Haon.”
Cha Jeong-won spoke gently as he smoothed Haon’s disheveled hair.
Feeling as if his ears might melt, Haon slowly closed his eyes. He intended to listen carefully to whatever Cha Jeong-won had to say.
“Why are you so interested in that box?”
It was an unexpected question.
“Well… uh… you see…”
His words kept faltering. He thought they’d exchange sweet words, but here they were talking about the box.
He could just say he’d been curious ever since he saw it before, but the truth was he had ulterior motives, so it wasn’t [unauthorized copy]style="position:absolute;left:-9999px;font-size:0;">[unauthorized copy]a topic he was entirely comfortable with.
Haon couldn’t answer, but Cha Jeong-won didn’t press further, as if it didn’t matter. Instead, he picked Haon up, sat him on the bed, and pressed his lips firmly against Haon’s forehead.
“You can look at it anytime, so don’t worry about it.”
“I’m fine.”
Haon rubbed his hot forehead.
“I’ll get you some food, just wait a bit.”
“Ah, I have somewhere to go after eating.”
Cha Jeong-won, who had been propping a pillow behind Haon’s back, looked up and met his eyes.
“Where?”
“We decided to wear our suits, right? Mine’s there.”
It was in that very studio apartment where Kim Hyun-gyu lived.
“I only brought casual clothes to wear here. I only have one suit, and it’s there.”
It was something said while drinking last night, but you haven’t forgotten, have you?
The hallway leading to the elevator was quiet.
Just straightening his back seemed to make the inside of Haon’s body ache dully. His stride had also shortened.
“Are you okay?”
Cha Jeong-won, who had been watching Haon, stretched out an arm to support his side. He wasn’t openly helping him up, but he held him firmly so Haon wouldn’t fall.
“I can walk by myself.”
“You said the closer we stick, the better. I’m doing this [stolen content]so you don’t fall apart.”
What a cheeky reply.
“Okay, granted, but are you really coming with me?”
Even though Haon had only said he was going to the 5th floor for a moment, Cha Jeong-won insisted on following him.
Moreover, he was already dressed in his suit.
Haon didn’t know how surprised he was when Cha Jeong-won came out fully dressed in his suit.
He thought it wouldn’t look that different since he often wore shirts, but seeing him now, that wasn’t the case.
Even with his usual indifferent face, wearing a suit that fit perfectly from his shoulders down changed his entire aura. Logically, Haon knew it was the same person, but it felt unfamiliar, like seeing him for the first time.
Having such a person sticking close by his side made his heart tremble.
“Don’t do that, just go up and wait, okay?”
“I’m coming with you.”
Cha Jeong-won pressed the elevator button and looked at Haon. His gaze felt slower than usual today.
Just feeling that gaze slide from his face to his neck and collarbone made Haon’s breath grow shallow.
“I want to see it quickly.”
“If you put it that way… But I probably won’t look that different.”
Ding.* As the elevator doors opened, the two entered simultaneously.
Once he became conscious of it, the elevator felt narrower and quieter than he’d imagined. The doors closed, and they just quietly watched the floor indicator lights.
By then, Haon felt his shoulder brush against Cha Jeong-won’s arm. The moment he became aware of that sensation, Cha Jeong-won reached out first and enveloped Haon’s hand.
“Ah.”
As Haon let out a small sigh, Cha Jeong-won intertwined their fingers more deeply. The larger the area where their palms touched, the more distinct the heat became.
Cha Jeong-won gently lifted Haon’s chin with his fingertips.
“Why do you look so handsome today of all days?”
“I don’t know who’s calling who handsome. And why is my sunbae acting so sweet today? No, he’s been like that since yesterday.”
He wanted to say it wasn’t exactly that, but it seemed more so after seeing the tarot cards.
“Be honest. What is it?”
Haon asked, half-closing his eyes.
The elevator was slowly descending, and that slow speed made the atmosphere even more ticklish.
“My thoughts have changed.”
Cha Jeong-won’s voice felt somehow firmer.
It was clear something had shifted in his feelings.
Haon didn’t say more and just pursed his lips. His meaning was, since things have come to this, let’s touch and separate quickly. As if he’d been waiting, Cha Jeong-won covered his lips.
It was a very brief, cautious kiss. For some reason, Haon felt ticklish, and tension entered his fingers.
“Can I ask what you’re thinking? Or should we do another doppelgänger spell?”
That was the moment.
The elevator stopped and the doors opened.
Haon froze in the exact same posture, lips still touching Cha Jeong-won’s. Through the gap in the elevator doors, he could see someone standing there.
It was Cha Seo-jun.
Cha Seo-jun, about to enter the elevator, froze on the spot. His gaze alternated between Haon’s lips and Cha Jeong-won’s face.
The air suddenly felt as if it had turned cold. A brief silence filled the elevator tightly.
Unlike Haon, who was at a loss for what to do, Cha Jeong-won wasn’t flustered in the slightest.
Without removing his hand from Haon’s waist, Cha Jeong-won looked at Cha Seo-jun once, then back at Haon. His gaze was so composed that only Haon’s face grew hotter.
Cha Seo-jun merely moved his lips a few times, ultimately unable to say anything. His face was pale, as if he’d encountered a scene he didn’t want to see.
Then, someone appeared behind Seo-jun.
“Hey.”
Kim Hyun-gyu tapped Cha Seo-jun’s shoulder and sighed.
“What are you doing? Why are you stopped here?”
Cha Seo-jun finally found his voice.
“Hyung…”
Kim Hyun-gyu grabbed Cha Seo-jun’s forearm. Cha Seo-jun seemed to try to resist, but Kim Hyun-gyu pulled him more openly.
“Why are you being like this now, so late?”
“I, I just…”
“Let’s quickly step aside and read the room.”
Kim Hyun-gyu dragged Cha Seo-jun toward the emergency staircase.
Finally, Cha Seo-jun looked at Haon one more time.
Facing that shocked expression, Haon could only move [visit our site]visit our site -->his lips soundlessly. He didn’t know what to say, but felt he should say something.
Then, Kim Hyun-gyu looked at Haon and said,
“Finish what you were doing.”
Then he dragged Cha Seo-jun out of the elevator.
Only then did Haon let out the breath he’d been holding.
“Ah…”
His voice was so small he didn’t even know if he’d properly answered, which made him even more embarrassed.
Haon just stuck his head out to check the hallway visible between the floors. Just before the emergency staircase door closed, he heard Kim Hyun-gyu saying something to Cha Seo-jun.
As soon as he confirmed that, Haon got off the elevator. While he was distracted being close to Cha Jeong-won, they had already arrived on the 5th floor.
Just before the doors closed completely, he looked back to see Cha Jeong-won still inside the elevator, stolen unauthorized copycontentRead on Read BL NovelsEND: stolen content -->looking only at Haon. That gaze was strangely calm, making Haon fidget with his own arm for no reason.
“Seo-jun must have been really surprised.”
When Haon spoke, Cha Jeong-won replied indifferently.
“He probably knows everything anyway, so what.”
“What if he didn’t know?”
Haon was curious what face Cha Jeong-won would make and how he would answer. Cha Jeong-won seemed to think for a moment, then spoke as if it were truly no big deal.
“That doesn’t matter either.”
It was a very Cha Jeong-won-like answer. Haon let out a hollow laugh.
“Sunbae, you’re really… He’s your cousin, and you don’t care at all?”
Cha Jeong-won stepped out of the elevator and stood beside Haon. Read on Read BL Novelsstyle="position:absolute;left:-9999px;font-size:0;">[Read on Read BL Novels]Then he took Haon’s hand again.
“I’m not particularly interested.”
Haon shook his head slightly as if giving up. Then he poked Cha Jeong-won’s side with his fingertip.
“Don’t be like that, be nice to him.”
After all, he was the one who had said Cha Jeong-won was an unlucky presence and to keep his distance.
Haon thought that if Cha Jeong-won were a bit nicer to him and they became friendly, maybe such rumors would die down a bit.
Cha Jeong-won raised his eyebrows just a little.
“The only person I need to be nice to is you.”
Yeah, who could stop Cha Jeong-won?
Haon didn’t try to persuade him further.
Secretly, he felt good.
