The results didn't take long. Two red lines gradually stretched upward. To me, the sight of those two red lines climbing felt slow and heavy, as if in slow motion.

Wanting to deny the situation, I rubbed my eyes and looked at the result again. But the result didn't change. The two red lines inside the test kit asserted their presence far too clearly. I had heard that usually, one line is red and the other is faint, leaving people unsure, but that wasn't the case for me. The result was unmistakable.
