What does this guy have so much to say?
Dane thought, cold sweat trickling down his back. Moreover, Grayson had been sending lengthy messages all day long, while Dane had only sent a single dot, and even that was clustered around his quitting time. Like a student cramming for months of overdue homework in half a day.
When he gets back, he’ll nag about this again.
Just thinking about it made his head ache. At this rate, he felt like he’d go bald from stress. Ugh, Dane swallowed a scream in his mouth. How did he get tangled up with a leech like this? Annoying, so annoying!
He was sitting on his chair with his thighs wide apart, clutching his head with both hands and leaning forward when suddenly a shadow fell over him. Dane tilted his head up, leaving some space. A man he’d never seen before was looking down at him.
“Um, hello.”
The man spoke in a cautious tone. Dane just stared up at him blankly, but for some reason, he felt strange. He was sure he’d never met him before, but why did he feel so familiar? Like he’d known him for a long time, a sense of intimacy…
“Um, I’m sorry to ask this out of the blue, but…”
He couldn’t hide his excitement and his cheeks flushed slightly. After looking around to make sure no one was there, the man leaned in and whispered softly in his ear, muffling his voice.
“By any chance, are you the same Trait as me?”
Huh?
In that moment of bewilderment, a familiar Pheromone scent suddenly wafted through the air. Dane paused and blinked. The same Pheromone scent as his own was floating around. It was definitely coming from this man. As Dane looked at him in surprise, the man smiled brightly, as if delighted, and said,
“I knew it, nice to meet you! This is only the second time I’ve met someone with the same Trait as me…!”
He couldn’t hide his emotion and kept chuckling. Dane slowly rose from his chair. What is this guy? It was the first time in his life he’d met someone with the same Trait as him, and he couldn’t help but feel bewildered. Noticing Dane’s reaction, the man tilted his head and looked up at Dane, saying,
“Ah, I’m sorry for the late introduction. I’m Corner Niles. Nice to meet you, please call me Koi.”
The man couldn’t hide his excitement, his eyes sparkling as he extended a hand. Dane hesitated, then reached out and shook his hand awkwardly. Even while looking up at the confused Dane, Koi couldn’t help but be overjoyed.

Ashley Miller had arrived.
The sudden news caused a stir at the fire station. Senator Miller, former head of Miller Law Firm, a ruthless lawyer who would make a deal with the devil to win, and now a man with the presidency in sight.
The staff, nervous but also eager to see the famous figure in person, all gathered in front of the Station Chief’s office. No one could guess what they were talking about inside.
“Did you see the car? It’s incredible.”

“Ashley Miller probably owns all five, right?”
“Why is he here? This isn’t his district. He should be in the East, right?”
“Isn’t it because his son works here?”

Grayson said with a smile, as if it were nothing.
“If a rare animal comes to the zoo, everyone gets excited and goes to see it.”
At those words, the guys who were still trying to be polite froze. It wasn’t wrong, but anyone would react the same way to such a blatant expression.
“Um, that’s… we.”
“Miller, so…”
They opened their mouths one by one, trying to smooth things over somehow, but they had nothing to say either. In the end, they were just looking around, when the door to the Station Chief’s office opened, as if a savior had appeared. At the same time, everyone’s eyes focused on one spot. First, the familiar face of the Station Chief came out, and next, it was time for the man they had been waiting for to appear. Everyone held their breath and fixed their gaze, and finally, Ashley Miller revealed himself.

He bent over as a matter of course to pass through the door, then straightened up immediately. Even Ashley Miller is different with his son.
As Ashley Miller fixed his gaze on Grayson and strode towards him, everyone watched them with curiosity and fear. What on earth would they talk about? Would they lightly hold hands and hug each other like a normal family? With attention focused on them, Ashley stopped three or four steps away from Grayson. He stopped at an unexpected distance, scanned his son once, and then opened his mouth. His uniquely low voice echoed in the silence.
“It seems you’re doing well.”
“Thanks to you,”
Grayson replied with his usual smile. Now is the time for a warm embrace. Everyone thought so, but their expectations were cleanly dashed. Ashley Miller still moved his body without a change in expression and passed by his son as he was. As if that were a signal, Grayson followed him.
The remaining people watched them walk away, bewildered. As if to draw their attention, the Station Chief cleared his throat loudly.
“Ahem, ahem. Everyone, get ready to go home now.”
Only then did the people come to their senses one by one and begin to spout words.
“What did you talk about? With Ashley Miller.”
“Wow, they really look alike. Will Grayson Miller look like that when he gets older?”
