“Dane!”
“What, you were here?”
“Where were you? Why are you so late?”
The team members, who were gathered together, were surprised to see Dane Striker and eagerly asked questions. But Dane, instead of answering, threw something onto the floor. With a thud, a slightly heavy sound, they saw someone collapsed and momentarily forgot their questions, turning pale.
A silence fell as if time had stopped.
Grayson Miller had collapsed, unconscious.
The sight of his limp, heavy body sinking to the floor was like a huge beast lying powerless. Thick arms, a body covered in solid muscles, a physique much larger than the average man. Seeing that monstrous being so defenseless, everyone’s mind went blank.
“Wh-wh-what, what is this?”
“Miller, it’s Grayson Miller, right? What happened? What’s wrong?”

To the team members who were screaming for different reasons, Dane simply replied with a still-frowning face.

That bastard knocked Miller out again.
Wilkins, clutching his throbbing head and letting out a deep sigh, asked.
“You didn’t bump into Miller, did you?”
“Maybe?”
Dane’s nonchalant answer made a vein pop out on Wilkins’ temple.
“Tell me for sure, Miller didn’t see you, did he!”

“What happened? At least give us a rough idea of the situation!”
As everyone looked at him anxiously, Dane replied again without sincerity.
“Nothing much. I was having sex in the warehouse, and suddenly this guy opened the door and watched, then collapsed on his own.”
Those who were listening inserted the words “because I beat him” between “watched” and “collapsed.” Ah, now it makes sense.
Having roughly sorted out the situation, they moved in unison and coordinated their stories. One person stuck close to Dane, crossed their arms, and scolded him in a serious tone.
“You didn’t come here today, understand?”
Someone looked back at the others and shouted.
“Everyone knows, right? Dane didn’t come here today!”

“You knocked Miller out back then, right? Miller came here to find you.”

“Miller is looking for the person who beat him up and knocked him out. We said we don’t know, so you should say the same. You never came here, got it? Now go, hurry up and go!”
Forced to leave by the continuous pushing, Dane reluctantly left the scene. The remaining team members quickly cleaned up the surroundings. Fortunately, the people inside the bar were all drunk and didn’t notice the commotion that had taken place among them. Those who were gathered looked at each other and closed their mouths. Thank goodness…! In the silence filled with relief, Grayson cursed lowly.
“Damn it.”
No one opened their mouths as they watched him roughly sweep back his hair. In the awkward silence, only Grayson bit his lip anxiously, pondering.

In the car on the way home, Grayson recalled irritably. No matter how much he racked his brain, he couldn’t remember anything. The last thing he remembered was coming out of the party and opening the door to find the bathroom. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t remember what happened next.
