111 – AC
Cha Se-jin felt that the company was less shitty than usual today. He had been late and received a lecture from his Hyung, the morning meeting had been considerably long, and the reports were unnecessarily verbose, but it was still okay.
It was only natural to be lectured for being late, meetings can get long, and reports can simply be edited to be less verbose. It was a rare day where a positive mindset, which had never come easily to him, was effortlessly in place.
Because he felt good. Incredibly so.
“Woo-jae.”
“Yes, Executive Director.”
Sitting in his office and spinning in his chair while thinking of Eun-won, Cha Se-jin smiled as he looked at his secretary, who was checking the schedule on a tablet.
“What do you want for lunch? Anything you’re craving?”
“…Ah…. I’m fine with anything.”
“Don’t be like that, just tell me. Oh, you liked the sashimi last time, right? Let’s go for that for lunch. My treat.”
“Uh, well… I’d love to, but did something good happen today, Young Master?”
“It did. Something fucking great.”
With a smirk, Cha Se-jin shook his head as if he couldn’t imagine anything better, then shifted his gaze back to the secretary who was staring at him.
“I’m in a great mood, so let’s get coffee for all the employees. Whether you pre-pay at the cafes or give out coupons, just do whatever is convenient.”
“…All the employees?”
“Yeah. I’m so happy I feel like I need to spend some money. Otherwise, I think I might actually go crazy.”
“Should I proceed based on the headquarters?”
“Yeah. If we do all the subsidiaries, I think you’ll die, Woo-jae, so just the headquarters for now. Use my card for the payment.”
“Yes, thank you. Thank you for sparing my life.”
Watching the secretary leave the office to carry out his orders, Cha Se-jin leaned back deeply into his chair. There were documents to process on his desk and emails to check. However, perhaps because his heart was floating today, he found it strangely difficult to concentrate. He could only think of Eun-won.
Whether he had made it to class on time, what he had for lunch, whether he was hungry since he only had fruit in the morning, whether his waist still hurt…. He was curious about everything.
“…….”
And he felt like he was going crazy thinking about how Eun-won had touched him first while he was sleeping this morning, coming closer to pepper him with kisses here and there. How could someone be that lovely? He had thought it many times, but it felt as if Eun-won were a different species, a different texture entirely from any other human in this world. No matter where he looked in the world, a person that beautiful, lovely, and cute did not exist. No matter how much he thought about it, there really wasn’t anyone. There was zero probability of discovering such a person in the future.
“…….”
And a kid like that likes me. Says I’m his.
A happy smile leaked out again. With an uncontrollable grin, Cha Se-jin checked the time and groaned upon seeing that there were still two hours left until he could leave work.
Two hours. It was an absurdly long time. Normally, it would have passed in a flash after doing some work and eating lunch, but not today. Two hours on the second day of dating were truly excessively long and meaningless.
Still, he had to eat to kill time, so Cha Se-jin personally reserved the dining place he would go to with Secretary Lee and sent a message to Eun-won.
[Did you eat lunch?]
[What did you eat? I’m about to go eat with Secretary Lee]
[I’m having sashimi. I decided to treat him because I’m in a good mood]
[I still have two more hours until I escape the company]
[Why is time moving so slowly]
[Think about what you want to eat. Let’s have it for dinner]
Staring silently at the message window where no reply came, Cha Se-jin stood up as he saw Lee Woo-jae returning after finishing his tasks.
“Let’s go. I’ve made the reservation.”
“You did it yourself? I was just about to do it.”
“I told you, I’m in a good mood. I told them we’re coming right now.”
“Yes, I’ll take you there.”
After heading down to the parking lot with Secretary Lee and getting into the car, Cha Se-jin pulled out his phone as he felt a vibration in his pocket. He checked the message upon seeing Eun-won’s name on the screen.
[Eun-won: I had pork cutlet with Ji-woon]
[Eun-won: It was the old-school style, and it was delicious]
Seeing the photo of the pork cutlet sent below the message saying it was delicious, Cha Se-jin couldn’t hide his smile. He had never seen him take photos of food before; why did he take a photo of the pork cutlet today? It was probably because today was special for Eun-won, just as it was for him. Thinking of Eun-won taking a photo of pork cutlets because he wanted to share everything with him made him so cute that he couldn’t stay sane. He wanted to throw away his meal, the company, and everything else to go to the school right now and hug Eun-won.
[No photo of your face? I want to see your face]
Eun-won read the message immediately, but a reply didn’t come back right away. Cha Se-jin waited patiently through a few minutes that felt incredibly long. Only after three minutes, which felt like an eternity, did a photo appear in the messenger. It was a photo of Eun-won’s face, holding a light green drink.
“…Fuck.”
“Pardon?”
At the sudden curse, Secretary Lee, who was driving, glanced back. Not even noticing that, Cha Se-jin saved Eun-won’s photo and zoomed in to examine the delicate, beautiful face. Eun-won, who took and sent a photo after three minutes because he said he wanted to see his face, was so lovely. Did he take several photos to send the best one? Would those photos all still be on his phone? Thinking he should check later when they met, Cha Se-jin tried to reply like a civilized person, suppressing his heart that wouldn’t calm down from sheer joy.
[You’re pretty]
[I want to see you soon]
[Eun-won: I want to see you too]
[Eun-won: Very, very much]
The moment the last message appeared, Cha Se-jin cursed under his breath again. He really couldn’t calm down. He felt like he couldn’t be apart from Eun-won. He wondered if it was absolutely necessary to go to school or work. He had so much money that he couldn’t spend it all in a lifetime; he just wanted to buy an island and stay glued to Eun-won all day long. For a lifetime if possible. If not, then for a few years.
“Should I buy an island….”
“Pardon?”
At the sound of Secretary Lee’s voice from the driver’s seat, Cha Se-jin realized he had spoken his thoughts aloud.
“An island.”
“An island?”
“Yeah. A deserted one.”
“…….”
“A place where there are no schools or companies.”
Speaking seriously, Cha Se-jin wrote a reply to Eun-won. He wrote that he would contact him when he left and told him to do well in his remaining classes, replying as normally as possible, while seriously brainstorming various ways he could stay with Eun-won longer. The problem was that most of them couldn’t be applied immediately, but even the imagination was joyful.
An hour and a half until he left to meet Eun-won, and two hours until he saw Eun-won’s face. Checking the remaining time, Cha Se-jin opened the window halfway and faced the pouring sunlight. A light that was exceptionally bright and sparkling today, a light that resembled Eun-won.
After having a fairly decent meal and returning to the company, Cha Se-jin headed to the Chairman’s office, feeling nervous at his father’s summons. He worried that he might be assigned a task that had to be handled immediately in the afternoon, but fortunately, that wasn’t the case. The only thing was a request to keep tomorrow evening free, as there was something to discuss regarding the resort project they decided to proceed with alongside Baum.
Nodding as it seemed there was something urgent to discuss, -->Read on Read BL NovelsCha Se-jin left the Chairman’s office with Cha Se-gyu, who had been listening to the conversation with him.
“Why are you so restless?”
“Me?”
“It was quite a sight to see until the part where he told you to clear your schedule for tomorrow evening.”
“I was a bit scared he’d give me work in the afternoon. I have an important schedule.”
“What schedule? Picking up Eun-won?”
At the precise guess, Cha Se-jin’s eyebrows rose slightly.
“Hyung, you’re too quick-witted, I don’t like it.”
“I don’t like how your mood [unauthorized copy[stolen content]style="font-size:0;position:absolute;left:-9999px;">]is so obvious. Fix it. It shows when you’re happy, and it shows when you’re not.”
“Am I that obvious?”
Absurded by Cha Se-jin’s question, Cha Se-gyu pressed the elevator button and shook his head.
“Yeah, incredibly so.”
“Is that why Eun-won knew everything….”
“What?”
“My thoughts. No, my feelings.”
Entering the elevator as the doors opened, Cha Se-gyu pressed the button for the floor where Cha Se-jin’s office was, and for himself, he pressed the button two floors below, where the archives were.
“Hyung.”
“What.”
“You were right. I told Eun-won everything. All the words in my head. And Eun-won understood. Eun-won is smart. Intelligent. More than me.”
“You only realized that now? I knew from the first time I met him. That Eun-won is smarter than you.”
Normally, he would have been slightly annoyed by such words, but not today. He could accept even those words generously. It wasn’t a lie, and he was in a good mood today.
“Hyung. I’m not angry.”
“What?”
“Even if you scold me, even if you say things like that, I just feel good.”
“You’ve gone crazy.”
“Yeah. I guess so.”
“…Let’s stop. What more is there to say.”
“Love is truly a wonderful thing.”
Cha Se-gyu looked at Cha Se-jin in silence for a moment. His younger brother’s face, naturally uttering the word ‘love,’ was so radiant it felt unfamiliar. Only then did Cha Se-gyu realize that Cha Se-jin had finally put a name to the emotions he had been struggling with.
“You finally figured it out. That you’re dying because you like Seo Eun-won so much.”
“I’m not dying because I like him.”
Shaking his head, Cha Se-jin added brazenly as he looked at Cha Se-gyu, who was staring as if wondering what he meant.
“I feel like I’m dying because I love him.”
Smirking at Cha Se-gyu’s bewildered face, Cha Se-jin checked the time again. Thanks to the event of his father’s summons, he had killed time very well. Now it was time to go straight to his office, grab his car keys, and head to the school.
“Hyung, see you at home later. Ah, no. I won’t see you today. I’ll be coming home late with Eun-won.”
“I won’t see you even if you come home early. I’m busy too.”
“Okay, then see you tomorrow.”
“Hey, don’t leave, get to work. You have a lot to do.”
“Ah, then I quit. Please accept my resignation.”
Speaking nonchalantly as he stepped out through the door that opened with a clear chime, Cha Se-jin soon smiled and waved at Cha Se-gyu. Leaning his back against the elevator wall, Cha Se-gyu watched Cha Se-jin’s back, which looked excited even from behind, and let out a laugh mixed with a sigh.
It was insolent to decide his own clock-out time, but he decided to let it slide today. It was the first time he had Read on Read BL Novelsseen his brother with such a happy face. Watching Cha Se-jin drift away [visit our site]through the slowly closing doors, Cha Se-gyu exhaled a long breath.
It was pathetic, ridiculous, and truly a relief.
