Jeong-min checked the results over and over. No matter how much he wanted to ignore it, the reality before his eyes was too immense to escape.
“Am I seeing this correctly?”
At Jeong-min’s question, Doctor Kim nodded silently.
Jeong-min read the result sheet once more. Even hearing that an Alpha could get pregnant didn’t really sink in. He thought the probability was incredibly slim and knew it was nearly impossible. Moreover, he had never even imagined such a thing happening to him.

Kim Ju-hwan paused at Jeong-min’s words. Frowning as if wondering what he meant, he glanced at the flustered Doctor Kim.
“What do you mean by ‘both of us’? I’m the only one who messed up, so what do you mean Sunbae messed up too?”
Jeong-min looked at the tablet in his hand. It would be better to just say it than to show this to Kim Ju-hwan. But why wasn’t he afraid to tell this guy? He might tell him to get rid of it immediately, or he might run away saying he couldn’t take responsibility.

Jeong-min handed over the tablet. Kim Ju-hwan read the test results intently, looked at Jeong-min once, and then stood up.
“Let’s do a detailed examination first.”
He spoke coldly, brushing his hair back. His reaction… was somewhat strange. Jeong-min could feel his hand, which was giving instructions to Doctor Kim, trembling slightly. He wasn’t hating it. He was terrified.
“Do a detailed examination. Sunbae.”
“Kim Ju-hwan.”
“Doctor Kim, you have the test results for those Alphas you sponsor, right? Please examine him thoroughly, comparing him to them. Every single part of Sunbae’s body, without exception.”
“Kim Ju-hwan.”
Jeong-min grabbed Kim Ju-hwan’s arm. Kim Ju-hwan’s face slowly turned toward Jeong-min. He had never seen him like this. His eyes were so full of fear.
“Kim Ju-hwan, I’m okay.”
“Sunbae.”

Feeling that he needed to calm Kim Ju-hwan down first, Jeong-min spoke all his current emotions without hiding anything.

“Sunbae, just give birth. I’ll do everything. I’ll make sure you don’t have to struggle with a single thing.”

“I know. If I could give birth instead, I would have. But I can’t. That’s why I’ll be by your side and do everything right.”
Thump, thump… Kim Ju-hwan’s overwhelmed heartbeat was transmitted through their pressed chests. He felt a different emotion from the guy who had been terrified just moments ago. Was it joy? He had thought Kim Ju-hwan wouldn’t turn away, but he didn’t know he would be this happy.
“Hey, I told you to calm down. And why are you crossing the line? It’s not at that stage yet. Let’s do the tests first… and talk after that.”
Jeong-min awkwardly pushed Kim Ju-hwan away. Seeing Jeong-min avoid his eyes, Kim Ju-hwan also realized his mistake. He had approached him too abruptly.
Actually, he had intended to have a serious conversation with Jeong-min today. Since he said he was sorting things out with Yu Shin-woo, there would be an opportunity for him. He had planned to ask if he could be given just a little bit of that opportunity…. But he never imagined something like this would happen. Jeong-min being pregnant….

Doctor Kim spoke after checking Jeong-min’s condition once more.
“If you feel anything unusual in your body, you must let me know immediately.”
“Yes, I understand.”
She nodded and opened the door to leave the room. Yu Shin-woo was standing in front of the door. Seeing him, Jeong-min remembered one thing he hadn’t sorted out with him. Kim Ju-hwan, who until a moment ago had been overwhelmed by the news of the pregnancy, also had his face stiffen the instant he saw Yu Shin-woo.
“Jeong-min.”

Shin-woo nodded. Jeong-min looked at Kim Ju-hwan.

“So you and Kim Ju-hwan were that kind of relationship after all.”
